We have been visited this site for over 10 years and have always found Pete and family really welcoming and helpful.
The facilities are always spotlessly clean and the pitches neat and trees trimmed.
The swimming pool is just steps away from all pitches and has loungers and parasols spaced around the carefully monitored, clean water.
The location is ideal for visiting Bergerac, Sarlat, Bordeaux by car ir train.
The campsite is just a 5 10 minute walk to the town centre.
There is a lively market on Saturday mornings and 2 large supermarkets nearby- one within walking distance.
The site overlooks the river Dordogne and the views are great.

Great place, tidy, clean, attention to detail.
Friendly family run campsite.
Really worth the stay.
Would recommend anytime.
The owner and his son, couldn't be more helpful.
They have an adjoining field available just for playing with dogs.

I can see the attraction of this site - as the reviews suggest. Just not for us, I'm afraid. It's very much a Brit-run site that attracts Brits who dominated the pitches, many staying for weeks on end.
So to be fair here are my pluses and minuses about the site/ area.
Pluses:
The site is well-run with clean, if dated facilities.
The pool is not heated but welcome in hot weather.
The pitches are shaded without losing the opportunity to sunbathe.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful with plenty of cycling and birdwatching.
Minuses:
The town is a bit of a dump. Reminded us of Havana - beautiful buildings - many empty and crumbling.
The town is 'edgy' at night.
The pitches are small and vans are quite close together.
The site is bang smack next to the Dordogne but you can't see it!

Beautiful little site. Well landscaped with modestly sized pool and decent showers/ washing areas. Range of pitches, though little tightly compacted, so feels a bit exposed/ aware of each other's noise. Great little walk into town and alongside river Dordogne. Over the bridge on the opposite banks are canoe hire, free summer activities and beach with access for swimming in the river. Came with 3 teens/ pre-teens whom loved the pool and short walk/ cycle to town and nearby Super U. Didn't bother using car. Relied on bikes and nearby attractions.

Found the site to be very clean and well presented.
It is necessary to bump up a kerb to get onto any pitch, but this isn't a problem and is probably necessary to keep rainwater on the roads, not that we saw any rain, it was very hot.
The sanitary facilities were a little dated, but clean and functional.
The old bastide town is a few minutes walk, a supermarket is also within walking distance. Plenty to see and explore in the town.
The pitches on the front near the pool were a bit small, our French neighbours caravan was 4 metres from us and we were both pitched in the middle of the pitch. This is necessary as there are trees to mark off the pitch and the overhang needs care. Some late night noise from people in the static vans, but overall a decent site.

Great site run by very friendly English family. Good location, very short walk into town where there are a few bars, restaurants and shops. Got the train to both Bordeaux and Bergerac, Bergerac is only 20 mins by train and lovely, would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights during the sometimes wet weather of June this year! We had a warm welcome from the English owner and he directed us to an excellent pitch near the pool and the sanitaires. The pool was great on the one hot day we had! The sanitaires are good and clean. There is a games/tv room which was used to watch the football. The children's playground looked good. It's is an easy walk into the little town where there is an excellent market on Saturdays. The town itself is looking a little run down with some shops closed but the walk along the river is pretty. Many people returned here year after year. It takes ACSI.

Stayed on this site for 3 nights. Lovely site on the banks of the Dordogne but high enough not to have to worry about flooding. Run by friendly, English family who are very helpful. Toilets & showers are very clean, there is a small pool & children's play area. It is only a 5 minute walk into small town which is closed on Mondays but has a good market on Saturdays. A few minutes drive to a Super you for shopping & fuel and 30 minutes drive to Bergerac which is an interesting town. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Our fourth stay and always a pleasure to be here. In response to the 'British' comment below, the reason why the entrance to the campsite is on the left rather than on the right has nothing to do with nationality, simply because of issues for caravans. In order to turn into the campsite, the caravans need to swing in - if they do so on the right, they would inevitably hit the wall, damaging the caravan. This is due to the narrow road (allee du camping) leading to the site.
When we were here, there was a good mixture of French, German, Dutch and British campers. The fact that the family that run the site is British, was great, but not the deciding factor. The campsite was originally a municipal campsite, so pitches are regulation size. Definitely no worse than UK sites.
It's a lovely place, clean and tidy with a lot to offer.

We'd agree with other reviewers that this site is very 'British', almost comically so. At the entrance you have to drive over to the left, then the circulation is the British way round (clockwise) not the French (ani-clockwise)! Usually we like to practice the language etc, but in this case the exceptional helpfulness of the English owners certainly won us over.
The pitches have small hedges in between, but are quite crowded compared to most French sits; a row of vans with awnings would be hard-pressed to maintain the 6m rule for fire safety. But the free wifi is a great boon - why don't other site owners realise how important that is these days? Also that most units have several phones tablets etc, so access for a single MAC adress is useless?
There's good cycling along the south bank of the river going east from the site. In the town we can definitely recommend 'Le-8' restaurant for amazing quality and value. A 4-course dinner for four of us, with two bottles of wine, cost just 100 euros.
