 Wow, what a beautiful touring site. Everything was so clean and well kept. Small shop in reception was very helpful.
We are new to touring and visiting Lakeside Adult Touring Caravan Park has really instilled in us we want to carry on caravanning and will definitely be re-visiting this site.
Liz met us on our arrival and was so nice and accommodating, even though we were early and novices in siting the caravan. I believe nothing would be to much trouble, for her.
We wont only being staying for 2 nights next time it will be for 4 days plus.

Lovely 5 night stay at Lakeside, lovely view over the fishing lake,
Very nicely kept quiet site, showers and toilets were spotless.
Lady and gentleman in charge were very helpful.
Not far from York,
We will definitely stay there again.

Lovely site, excellent facilities.
Fishing looks outstanding though we weren't here for that.
We came for peace and quiet and were not disappointed.
Excellent communication on booking providing all information required.
Metered electric ( we used less than £1per 24hrs) but low site fees allowing sites like this to remain cost effective for us all to enjoy through these difficult times.
We have booked our next visit.

What a fantastic find
We stayed here for a week
Although the weather was frosty the site was just perfect, idyllic and spotlessly clean and well looked after
Lots and lots of hot water in the showers and always a happy smiling face in reception
Could not recommend higher
Will definitely be back

Beautiful adult only and dog friendly site, just outside Pocklington.
Very well maintained and spotlessly clean, care of the great wardens.
Excellent course fishing lake on site with well spaced out pegs.
Our only criticism would be more fresh water taps dotted around the site, but it's not a problem.
Will definitely return.

Our 1st Time staying in our New to us Caravan,
We have camped at Lakeside many Times and for us it is the perfect Site,
Peaceful Close to Poclington for Shopping,
Fantastic Lake for Fishing
No Kids :).
The Site Wardens Liz & Tony Can't do enough for you,
We love it so Much we have our Caravan Stored there *****

Let me start by saying, that I'll be back.
Lovely site, by the side of an attractive fishing lake. Nice location, as well truned out as practicably possible.
Elizabeth & Tony lovely & helpful. Helped a relative newcomer to the ins & outs :)
Cheap rates that creep up to still very acceptable, with the awning, dog, extra car.
Showers free (brilliant block) & I think the washing m/c is free.
Electric is on a meter. Buy £1 cards & sell back the cards you don't use. I used £0. 30 from mid afternoon to next day lunch. Losds of kettles, but no heater over night.
I had to leave the next day due to personal reasons, so need more time to write a full report.
But the place is quiet & truly lovely.
There's a dog run on site. It's 6/7m wide & 60/70m long, it's not totally secure, but just a small gap at one end & the gate would let a small dog through.
No dog walking round the lake.
No youngsters (under 16 I think).
No WiFi. But phone data was fine (Vodafone).
Close to A1079, striking distance of York, Elvington Air Museum, the stunning Wolds & next time, I intend to find more.
It was my plan to let Tony move my 'van & store it between visits.
Circumstances will hopefully let me spend more time here.

Cannot fault. Lakeside has everything we want from a campsite and things we don't :) the showers have been improved and with the great addition of elizabeth and tony i'm sure it will get better. The fishing on site is superb and i enjoyed my early morning walk around the lake. If there is one thing we would like is that tents were allowed to pitch with a lake view, then i would not have to carry my fishing tackle so far plus it would be nice to enjoy a evening drink looking out over the lake. Hope richard might consider this in the future. So all in all we cannot recommend lakeside highly enough. Looking forward to our next visit already :) 5 stars.

Fantastic adult only site
The facilities are kept immaculately clean toilets, sinks, and showers. The grounds and touring areas have very short cut grass which looks immaculate when driving on to the site, and this is complimented with the lake by which the anglers can have a good days fishing with easy access to all pegs, with some pegs surrounded by lily pads which looks very scenic.
Full credit to the 2 wardens, tony & elizabeth who obviously work very hard to maintain the site to the highest of standards
In which makes for a more relaxing and pleasant stay
The noise [what noise] so peaceful
1st time to this site hopefully will not be the last.
