Fantastic site close to lake basic but very nice.
After coming the first time with my husband I knew it would be perfect to come with extended family.
The customer service is great and the site is lovely & clean.

This is a peaceful site in a beautiful setting.
The facilities are kept clean and pleasant to use.
The hosts are very friendly and always helpful.
Great place for families who enjoy outdoor and water activities.

Great site and amazing location, with the lake easily accessible just at the bottom of the lower field and about 5 minutes walk down to the lakeside from the main field.
A bit hilly, but there was still plenty of flatter areas to pitch in.
The facilities were always very clean, and the showers were large and always hot. There were only three showers but this was never really a problem for us, despite the site being fully booked 2 out of 3 of the days we stayed.
Would definitely recommend and be very happy to stay again.

The location was beautiful, gorgeous views, peaceful site and easy access to the lake direct from the campsite.
The showers and washing up facilities were good but there were only 2 small hand basins in each toilet block.
The site is quite hilly and although this naturally gives each pitch a bit of space, it was not very easy to find a flat dry pitch when the site was already nearly full.
We struggled with wind and rain while we were there but that is the Lakes for you.
The campsite staff were very helpful and everything was very clean.

Hoathwaite is our favourite campsite. It sits right on the lake and isn't too busy compared to its neighbour site on the lake which is the complete contrast.
Amenities are perfect, view is amazing, 45 minute walk along lake into Coniston. Visiting campsite ice cream van is a bonus.
Choice of camping on the hill with a great view of the lake or at the bottom with direct access to the lake.
Plenty of flat areas as its almost naturally terraced if you choose to camp higher up.
Definitely recommend.

Lovely peaceful site with wonderful views of Coniston Water and its surrounding fells.
Basic but excellent facilities and fantastic that site has been reopened by current tenants following the previous decision by the National Trust to close.
So easy to get to the lake and and a lovely lakeside walk to Coniston itself.

This is the second time I've used the site.
Site was lovely. Mostly quiet and other guests were respectful. A mixture of families, couples, groups of friends, and dog friendly.
Showers were lovely. Toilets work, clean and always have toilet paper/soap etc. No electrical hookups.
Contact with owners was easy, they were responsive, and payment was easy (via bank transfer).
Location was amazing, close to the edge of Coniston Water. Within close proximity to local pubs and Coniston village.
Owners limit the number of pitches meaning it wasn't over crowded everyone had plenty of space.

Lovely stay at Hoathwaite Farm.
Plenty of room for everyone with a huge choice of areas to pitch.
The facilities were perfect and despite being a busy weekend in Coniston the campsite wasn't over run with visitors, making it easy to access the showers and washing up area.
Amazing views over the lake and The Coniston Fells.
Everyone was friendly on site and all campers seemed to stick to the site rules, which meant 3 peaceful nights of quality sleep.
Booking was easy and the site owners were very friendly and approachable.
I couldn't fault anything about my stay.
Will definitely return.

Excellent site, beautiful views, good clean water and facilities.
All the staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Our stay was peaceful and lots of space around our pitch.
Short walk to the lake
