4 day camp over the bank holiday weekend, some rain but mostly OK. Great location for site, just back from coastal path between Tenby and Saundersfoot, very quiet location, no amenities on site other than shower block, toilets, washing up area. (A plus point in my book)

Toilet / Shower facilities modern, clean, plentiful, but not to everyone's liking as quite open to the elements, and washing sinks no privacy at all.

Worth a visit if only for the superb location, but if you want enclosed washing facilities, then you may be disappointed.

We stayed on the croft field for 12 nights and it poured with rain for most of them whilst parts of the field became very waterlogged we still had a great holiday.

The toilets and showers were clean and we always had plenty of hot water the site is very dog friendly and the campsite is in a lovely area although very exposed to the wind.

Although the drainage on the site seemed fairly bad (in all fairness it did rain a lot) we have already booked to go back and have been ensured that the drainage has been improved for 2009.

Probably not the best site to go if you don`t want lots of children running around, but by 10.30ish at night we never had any issues with noise.

The campsite had a lovely friendly atmosphere and we felt it was very good value for money.

Whilst there is no shop onsite(this suits us fine)the shop in new hedges is very well stocked

1st trip with the new frame tent with our little 2 year old.

Despite the foul weather, we had a lovely time - especially the nipper.

The staff are friendly, and even phoned before we came to tell us the weather was grim and the site was very muddy - and that we could cancel & they'd refund. Facilities were fine, and the beach is great (quite quiet).

Would go back again.

Spent a couple of nights here this summer in our titchy cheapo 2 person tent and suffered the wrath of Wales. ie rain and wind. As others have mentioned the down side to this camp site is the poor drainage and puddles that develop when the inevitable rain falls, we got a good soaking.

However apart from that gripe, the site is in a superb spot, the views are lovely and the walks along the cliff paths either way are meandering and up and down so the scene changes around each corner.

The nearby beach is splendid, access is a steep path but ok for most able bodied people and is not frighteningly along the cliff edge or anything like that.

Facilities are good clean and simple. The owners appear to allow camp fires on site so you may or may not enjoy wood smoke drifting around.

The noise levels are fairly high but it goes quiet around 11pm and is just a quite lively site with kids running about and radios playing. This was the experience we had in the tent field.

There is a bus service going past the end of the lane for Tenby and Saundersfoot but this is a bit of a walk if you have loads of kids or shopping, about a 3/4's of a mile I would say.

Conclusion.

Excellent spot if you don't mind a fairly lively family site, you will need transport to the shops as they are a way off.

Pleasant atmosphere and feels easy going, camp fires and dogs, lots of people using the next field for kite flying and games.

Superb scenery east and west along the coast.

Good base for a bit of coast path walking or sight seeing in Pembrokeshire.

Can be a bit soggy under foot if it rains.

Would use site again.

When we got to Trevayne the first thing you notice are the stunning views over the bay, the park sits on cliff tops and its totally stunning.

The site itself is very clean and the toilet and shower blocks modern although it was a bit hit and miss with the hot water.

We were told where the camping field was and could choose where we pitched we got a fantastic spot with nice views.

The clifftop walk is a bit scary and I would not recommend it for children lots of steps to the small beach but worth it when you get down the walk back up is not so good.

Tenby is lovely, don't expect any arcades or fair rides because their is none!.

We went on a jet ski for an hour which was fab £50 for 2 for an hour and believe me an hour is enough I ached all over :-)

We will def return to this site its one of our favorits and were not hardend campers this was only our 4th time but believe me you wont be disapointed if you go here!

This was our second visit to Trefayne, went Aug last year as well.

Site plus points: nice modern facilities - clean modern toilets / sinks / showers / wash basins with disabled toilets / showers that made great family shower rooms. The water was always hot. Had well maintained fire points and regularly emptied, well managed bins with recycling available.
The views are fantastic - depending where you are, you can have 180 degrees of sea. The staff at the site are friendly and accommodating. There is a ice block freezing service @ 50P a bag full.
On our two visits we had no troublesome neighbours or late noise (but that's luck of the draw!).
There is a great pebbly beach maybe a 10-15 min walk from camp field, with caves and all sorts (kids were impressed!) - although has many steep steps. Nice 'community'. 5 mins drive to Saundersfoot, 7 mins drive to Tenby, 2 mins to New Hedges, 15-20 mins to Oakwood. Camping was in an 'L' shape so most of field was left for kids to play in/dog walk etc.

Sites minus points: very open field, so exposed to the wind, rain etc, which we did experience. No shop/food outlet on site (New Hedges shop over 1 mile away). No playground. The 'car track' through the field got worse and worse with the rain over days and was not maintained - very boggy, with everyone slipping and sliding, field very boggy!

When we went we paid £15 for the tent with two adults and two kids (per night), which I found reasonable for the quality of the site. I will definitely consider going again. PS New Hedges pub 1 mile away.

Just spent 8 nights here and experienced extremes of weather; both heat and storms. Be warned; if it's windy or wet weather you really cop it here on all fields. It's the price you pay for its location on top of a hill above a gorgeous beach. My advice is don't go in bad weather because you lose the benefit of the beach and end up quite chilly as well.

Having said that, it is a great site with new open plan toilets and showers which are great in warm weather and nicer than closed in ones. The site is split into 4 areas; camping (Tenby), statics, caravans (Croft) and a field with a sea view for non-tenting people (Monkstone).

The site is well tended to with toilets cleaned at 6 am and at lunchtime. Bins are emptied daily and there are a team of helpful young people running it. There is no shop on site or even nearby so you have to make trips to towns for that; Tenby being the best bet.

The beach is a 10 minute walk down steep slippy path; pushchairs being abandoned at the top! It is a nice beach which has plenty of sand and allows dogs (which were not a problem at all). Lots of swimming and bodyboarding and some rock pools; so something for everyone. Not at all crowded or spoilt.

We had a really nice week here but I probably wouldn't come back unless I could get into the Monkstone field as I found Croft field a bit windswept and without a view to enjoy. Tenby field for the tents is a lot nicer but is quite crowded at weekends; fine if you like a festival feel. Good open spaces left for kite flying and games which is good.

Just returned from a fantastic week at this site. This was our first visit to Trevavyne Camp Site and we are really impressed.

The site is clean and well kept, staff were friendly all the time, gave us a map of the site and information on the local area.

The toilets and showers were clean, and although open plan, still private.

The beach which is a short steep walk down was really clean and not to busy, beware of the walk back up! (lots of steps!)

The rules over noise were kept too by everyone, the only down fall was the smell of burning wood by others at the evening, it can get a bit much when lots of people do it.

Excellent campsite will definatly return.

After looking at quite a few websites we ended up booking here. Their website is very good and informative.

The washing/showering facilities are the best we've seen at a campsite. The shower heads do need to be aimed down so they don't spray outwards too far but they are fixed. Not a major problem though, the water's still warm and there's good pressure.

The location was great as we wanted to visit Tenby and Caldey Island and the price was the lowest we came across.

We were exposed in the camping field and the very strong winds broke our tent on our third night so we abandoned (thanks to those that helped secure it!). That was bad luck but we would certainly go there again and maybe camp against the hedge for a bit more protection from the wind although it was a one-off.

We have been visiting Trevayne for the past 13 years and love it. We started visiting it as an un married couple an now return every year as a family of four!

The site is a typical farm site, but very well kelp and clean. The addition of the new shower block a couple of years ago has made it superb, but also much busier.

Beaches are a short (10 min) walk down a quite steep coast path. You can also walk into Saudersfoot (takes about 35 minutes and is very easy to follow). Eating out is very varied in tenby, Saudersfoot has one of our fav pubs just oppositite the beach (old stone fronted, not the castle!)

Great places to visit with children, all in all, the best place to visit with children, views are amazing.
