Stayed here for 3 nights in early September and blessed with good weather. Pitched in Monkstone field with stunning views. Hard standing area were sloping and even our large ramps were inadequate. Pitches were well spaced with electric hook ups between each. There were a few non electric pitches at the top of this field. With all pitches occupied I suspect the small toilet/shower block could be a problem. There were no washing up facilities in this field. The much larger and better equipped one at the top of the tent field was much more agreeable if a bit of a walk. The presence of numerous static and residential-type caravans was a bit of a surprise.
The staff were very helpful and the bins were regularly emptied- so no wasps! The shop stocked basic provisions only and the nearest shop (Londis-at New Hedges) was about 800m along the access road. The site would be quite exposed if it was windy, but if you stay on the top of a hill. ? The 'walk' to Monkstone beach is worth it. However the climb back up required a good few stops - for photos, of course! Be aware the coastal footpath does exactly that, and unless you are relatively fit, the walk to Tenby will encourage you to catch the bus( 351 to Saundersfoot) back to New Hedges. However, the path to Saundersfoot is less steep and if you time it right, you can walk back along the sand at low tide to Monkstone beach. Do not believe the walk times given in the bus timetable! I think they were using the Welsh Ironman training schedule. You need to double them to take into account rest/photo breaks and still have the energy to return the same way. A little expensive perhaps, but you pay for its location.

Summer holidays in Tenby have been a family tradition for more than 10 years now but we've usually stayed at Meadow Farm.
We moved out of town this year for a few more site perks (mainly hot showers) and because the outlaws bought a caravan and this was their first trip.
Very good campsite with plenty of space and the ground was well drained; although the weather was so good this year it was never really tested.
Very clean facilities and don't get put off by the 'open air' build; it's not that bad but could get cold in early spring / late autumn.
Very good camp shop with fresh local produce and my daughter loved the icecreams. The local Londis is a 5 minute drive / 15 minute walk and very well stocked; and there is always Sainsbury's in Tenby or Asda in Pembroke; not so keen on the shopping in Saundersfoot.
The site ran sports cups for the kids (football and rounders) which went down really well. The nearest beach is a local secret (and buy nicking the sign, they probably want to keep it that way) with a steep but stepped footpath down the cliff to a very private beach looking over to Tenby harbour and Caldy.
Would thoroughly recommend this site and we'll be back next year.

Trevayne Farm is a great campsite we'd like to return to.
We booked via their website with no problems. On arrival the reception staff were friendly, as they were the whole of our stay. The reception building also holds a small shop which was useful, especially the local butcher's sausages. There is a larger shop in the village.
We camped in Tenby field which is towards the coast so did get a bit of wind when the weather was bad, but nothing the tent couldn't cope with. The nearest toilets/showers and washing up facilities were always clean and we didn't have to queue.
The beach (Monkstone) is a short distance away, but down lots of steps. With the tide out there is loads of sand and never many people on it - a good beach very easy to get to. We walked down to Tenby one day along the coast path and the beach there seemed packed in comparison. If the tide at Monkstone is out you can walk along the beach to Saundersfoot.
We booked a day of coasteering and sea kayaking with the Princes Trust at Stackpole Quay, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Stackpole is a National Trust property and we liked the look of it so went back the next day. Princes Trust are based at Pembroke Dock.

We arrived here without booking. Site was rather busy, but they could fit us in on a field with mainly caravans. Also a few tents and another folding camper.
On our field there were a lot of seasonal pitches and because everyone seems to know everyone it's hard to get in touch with other campers.
Facilities sufficient and most of the time clean.
We had lovely weather (just one day of rain) and made beautiful walks along the coastal path to Tenby and Saundersfoot. A vist to Caldey Island, and to Pembroke castle are both well worth a day out.
A big miss on this site is the lack of a playground!

We spent 5 nights at this lovely campsite in the Tenby field for tents. The site has great facilities including hot showers, plenty of loos and a farm shop with basic food and drink items. A short walk towards to coast of the campsite and down a few hundred steps is their own private beach! Monkstone beach is beautiful and was never very crowded for the six days we were there. It is also a short drive to Saundersfoot and Tenby and there are coastal paths if you'd like to have a longer walk. During our stay we had 3 nights of torrential rain and we were quite worried that our tent might be too exposed to strong winds and heavy rain, however, our tent survived the three nights and we were told at Reception that if we had any issues during the night we could call the helpline and they'd come to our rescue. We had a brilliant holiday here and would love to return one day.

Just left this lovely campsite this morning. We stayed on the Monkstone field which in my opinion was the best caravan field. The views were spectacular. The toilet block for that field is small, two toilets and one shower in the ladies and, according to my husband, one toilet, one urinal and a shower in the gents. The showers are free and very hot. There is a larger toilet block in the camping field (Tenby) with more toilets, showers and sinks. The washing up area is there also. In another field (Croft)there are private static caravans along with a mix of tents and tourers. I would hate to have stayed in this field as it looked very crowded. However there were more toilets plus a laundry room with ironing facilities. Access to Trevayne is down a narrow road. There are passing places but nevertheless it could do with the grass being cut back a bit thus making the road a bit wider. Prior to entering the entrance of Trevayne, you invariably will find cars parked in a layby by. This is because access to Monkstone beach is via the campsite. In Monkstone field there are 12 electric hookups plus space for at least 6 non electric pitches. Lots of space between them too. The camping only field was lovely. Spacious with good views. This place was lovely and we have had the most glorious weather. There are numerous sandy beaches close by, Wisemans Bridge, Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby. However, if you are fit, take the walk from the site and the hundred plus steps and you will come to THE most fabulous sandy beach. This is Monkstone beach. Wonderful. There is a pleasant walk from Wisemans Bridge to Saundersfoot going through the cliffs and if the tide us out, you can walk back along the sand. Nice pub there too!. You can take the cliff path from the campsite to Saundersfoot but in my opinion, you need to be pretty fit. I did it and we caught a taxi back! I would certainly return to this lovely site and would request the same pitch again as the views were amazing.

Lovely site, great views though I'd expect some of the pitches might be a little exposed in poorer weather. Facilities are nice and clean and showers are good (and free).
Two beaches are in easy walking distance though one is a rocky beach. The sandy beach is stunning and seemed oddly empty (we went on the hottest day of the summer so far which was widely predicted). Supposed to be good fishing there too. The only downside is a long walk down the path to reach it, which may explain the lack of people there.
The only downsides are that I'd like to see pitches maybe a little further apart in a perfect world (but they were quite tolerable) and the gravel road has speedbumps which are very high and almost tore my exhaust off despite my car being a run of the mill saloon, so remember to drive around the speedbumps on the grass (but for god's sake don't run anyone over).

We’ve just got back from this campsite and can’t praise it enough. It’s by far the best we’ve been to and we’ll be back again next year. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming but were not intrusive, in fact we barely saw them all week aside from clearing out the bins and cleaning the facilities. Lovely little shop on site which sold a nice selection of local farm produce (and lovely little pots of ice cream for £1!). Wasn't sure about the 'farm' aspect itself - we were expecting some animals but only saw chickens! We stayed on the Croft field which is mostly taken up with caravans (not statics as such but permanent fixtures if the grass growing round the edges of them is anything to go by). In the middle of Croft is about 10 pitches for tents or caravans with EHU access, one of which we were on (there is another field just for tents which is huge but I don’t think that one had EHU so if you need electric I guess you have to book early to get a Croft pitch). Our pitch was very large and there was a lot of space around us for our 2. 5 year old to roam about on his bike without us having to worry about cars or about him annoying others.
The facilities were superb, cleaned daily with plenty of shower & toiler cubicles so never had to queue even at busy times. I do get the open-air aspect which other reviewers have touched on, for us wasn’t an issue (as we miraculously managed to book in hottest week of the year) but I do appreciate that these could be pretty horrid if the weather was bad.
200 steps (we counted!) down a very steep and winding woodland path takes you to Monkstone beach, which is without doubt one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been on. Extremely clean and safe, and the water is warm and crystal clear. We spent 5 out of 7 days on the beach as it was so lovely. The walk back up the steps was a challenge but after a week we were feeling fitter and it became a doddle. Just make sure you pack light as it is a mission if you have your arms full, which we did on first day!
Tenby is a lovely little seaside town and well worth a visit, lovely clean beaches and lots of nice shops. We did the Seal Safari from Tenby Harbour out to Caldey Island which was quite expensive (£38 for 2 adults and a toddler) but we saw seals and a lot of birds and it was lovely being out on the sea.
My only criticism of the site is the families and children that descended on it on Friday night, who were loud and boisterous and were playing football right next to our tent at 10pm. I’m not a killjoy but I did have a sleeping toddler so I wasn’t happy. However in all fairness they stopped at 10. 30 on the dot which I think was the noise cut-off point so they were adhering to the site rules at least. I got the impression they came every weekend to the permanent caravans and there was an air of ‘we own the place’; it certainly wound up a lot of the campers near us. I would say unless you have no choice (school-age children etc) try and go in term time as it clearly gets very busy in the school holidays. We left the day after the schools broke up so fortunately only got one night of it.
All in all, a lovely clean campsite and would definitely recommend to friends.

Have just returned from a fabulous week at Trevayne. We were pitched in Croft Field with electric hook up. FYI there is no sea view from Croft, you need Tenby Field for those. Pitches here are clearly marked and are very generous - even with a monster tent (Montpelier 12).
The site itself is immaculately clean, with plenty of hot water for washing and showers. As others have mentioned, there is an open air element to these which dispels any thought of a long, leisurely soak. The farm shop supplies fresh produce daily (granary bread to die for) and is reasonably priced. Staff too are very helpful and friendly.
The only downside to the site, given that it is right on the coast, is that it is quite exposed to the elements, especially wind - Guy ropes are a must!

Had a fabulous week here in May. Pitch was fantastic and fully serviced. Facilities are spotless although could do with more on the Monkstone Field. In a brilliant location for both Saundersfoot and Tenby. Only gripe is the kids from the static vans hanging round the Monkstone toilet block in the evenings being overly loud, guessing their parents enjoy the peace though! All in all a fab site in a beautiful location.
