All the excellent facilities of a Caravan Club affiliated site. Generous, well spaced pitches and great views (weather permitting). Toilet block is a little dated, but spotlessly clean.
Close to 'Stirling mills' outlet village (and furniture village) - a massive retail complex worth a visit.
Excellent short stay site.

Very friendly site .As this was our first time touring it was so nice to get help from the owner and help with a few problems we had. The views from the site are wonderful. Also a good site to get to many places around the area. dogs welcome. Overall very nice.

Won't be travelling the 4 hours to this site again. Barring the views of the Hills, the neighbouring area is not nice. It's not within walking distance of anything - unless you don't mind a mile of ditch walking along a busy fast A road. The electric was off for one day when we were there also - obviously down to the over loading by the extension of the site which was as attractive as a quarry, this over stretching was also apparent in the shower block which was too far really from the new part. The old part is landscaped and quite nice, I think it would have been better had they prepared the new part first before charging people to stay in it. The warden 'Norm' was the only positive of the whole site friendly and helpful - none of the above his fault really.

New owner is greatly extending number of pitches and old problems of waterlogged grass is past but most pitches are sharp stone chips and so steel pegs are a MUST !
Earlier TV problems are now over if you use the free TV booster points but remember and take an adequate length of cable extension. This also applies to Power cables as in some pitches, the points can be 3 vans distant or so it seemed on our walk round the new layouts. Similarly, many of the new or re laid out pitches are Service Pitches but strange thing is that the waste point seems to be on the opposite side of the (generous sized) pitches from the water. Also note, as most of the pitches are without any tree cover, especially all the ones in the extended area, from past experience it can get VERY windy on occasions with the prevailing West wind which has nothing to stop it as it blows along the completely flat valley from Stirling.
With all the new pitches being laid out, it is to be hoped that a new toilet block is to be built as if the site was full, the existing one would not be adequate.
My own opinion is that from earlier days, it now looks a bit stark with all the stone chips and I personally prefer grass but for this particular site, water logging was a real problem so the re laying has been the answer. Try it and you won't be disappointed

We are in total agreement with Vera's comments (April 2004). Womderful views, large sites, absolutely the most helpful people running it. Excellent local tourist information. Facilities are clean & top notch. We liked it so much we stayed there again in August. Highly recommended.

1st April 2004 One of the best we have been on. Large spacious sites and stunning scenery. The toilet block is first class with large showers, spotless clean and nice and warm. Margaret and Brian are very nice and very helpful, we will definately be going back very soon.
