I'd recommend this site to anyone - there were European visitors passing through, families on a fortnight's holiday, a big group of ageing motorbikers, folk in wheelchairs (there are separate facilities for disabled people) and folk (like us) with a dog - there are super off-lead walks in the wood behind the site (on-lead on the moor as there are sheep).
Don't be put off by comments about the road noise (though we were sited far from the road), as you quickly blank it out and tune in to the buzzards, peregrines and ravens from the crags above (and owls at night). You can walk up through the woods, via the wayleave for the small pylons, onto the hills for super views of Stirling Castle and as far south as Tinto: there's a seat overlooking the site.(About 250 m climb, allow an hour there and back.) You could keep going east along the skyline if you're properly equipped. The views of the Ochils are super, especially when the sun is setting and lighting them up.
Tented area has two covered tables and there are also plenty of picnic benches. Clean recycling facilities, even for plastic. The owners are friendly, they remember your name and they're always looking to improve the site. The CDP is the most pleasant I've ever come across, located beside the motorhome service point, with useful very long water hoses (one for drinking water, one for the loo); the soap and sink there is also very welcome - something for all sites to aspire to. Piped local radio in the toilets is also a first and is good for hearing about local events. Flowers in tubs everywhere.
And all this for a very modest price - we've paid much more for much less at other sites. I'm sure we'll be back.

This is a well run site. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners to do to make your stay an enjoyable one. Good facilities, clean toilets and well spaced pitches. Good facilities for motorhomes including drinking water fill up point.
In summary, an excellent park which is warmly recommended

Witches Craig is one of our favourite sites for a weekend break. We have been coming here for 4 years on and off and the site has got better and better. For those of you travelling from a long way this site is perfectly placed for touring the Trossachs and the East coast of Scotland and benefits from being only a 5 minute drive from Stirling. The Wallace Monument is close by and can be seen from the campsite. Don't miss Bridge of Allan with its upmarket gift shops and fantastic deli-perfect for taking snacks back to enjoy with that well deserved evening tipple !If you love curry - we can recommend Mr Singhs Indian Cottage in Stirling - he does a fantastic lunch special - 3 courses from £6.45
The site has recently had a makeover and the owners have made more hard standings due to demand. These are attractively landscaped with York Gold chips and are interspersed with large planters to give some colour and interest. There are ample grass areas and there is a large tent field towards the rear of the site some with hookup. The whole site is abundant with flowers and its attractively laid out. The backdrop is the dramatic Ochil Hills which when we were there last weekend - were covered in Rhodedendrons.
The loo and shower blocks are very clean and adequate but when the site is full they can be busy early in the morning. There is also a small laundry and washing up area.
Morning rolls and papers can be ordered from reception and they do have a gas exchange which is quite handy - especially if you are in the middle of a touring holiday.
The only disadvantage of this site is the noisy road. Its the main Stirling-St Andrews route and tends to get busy quite early in the morning. The OH also found the crows woke him at the crack of dawn. Please don't let either put you off- this is a brilliant little campsite with a lot to offer.

This site is really lovely and so peaceful. Owner and staff really friendly and helpful. Toilet and facilities excellent and really clean. Great site for tents as well and a good site for kiddies. Only 5 minute drive from Morrison's supermarket and about 10 min drive into Stirling. There is also a bus runs reguolar to Stirling. Site right at the bottom of the Ochil hills and a great view of the Wallace Monument. I love this site and it's only 40 minutes from home and yet I feel as if I'm in another world.

A lovely site with excellent facilities, toilets/showers were always warm and spotless, as were the pot wash area and waste disposal, which even had a handbasin, soap dispenser and paper towels, a facility all sites should consider. The dog walk is a wood at the foot of the beautiful Ochil Hills and was stunning during our stay as it was full of Bluebells. The owners of the site were welcoming on arrival and left you in peace to enjoy your stay but were always helpful if needed. You can get a bus into Stirling from a bus stop about 3 min walk from the site. There is traffic noise from the road just outside of the site but after a while I never noticed it, the little lams in the field behind were noisier!but fun to watch. I would definitely go back.

A fantastic site situated just outside the Historic town of Stirling. Witches Craig is a little Gem! the site is right at the foot of the Ochil Hills, which can be accessed from the site. The loos & showers are spotless, & there are good kitchen /laundry facilities. There is a great playpark for the kids which is located in the centre of the park. There is plenty of hard standing on the site & additional drainage work has been done on the camping area over the winter. There is no shop on the site, however bread rolls & newspapers can be ordered from reception for the next day. The town is a two minute hop in the car, where there is loads to see & do. Morrisons supermarket is in the nearby Sringkerse estate, where there is also Burger King & Pizza Hut. A warm welcome guaranteed here. As a family of five we love this site & return again & again.

Lovely site, very friendly staff, toilet block very well kept although it is at the about the furthest point from the tent area, but on the plus side the tent area is furthest away from the road, the A91, so traffic noise is minimal and not intrusive.
Plenty of room for larger tents, and the setting is lovely.
Ground was good and dry, although we were there in particularly dry weather, but the site has invested a lot in ground drainage works over this last winter. No problems with stony ground at all.
The kids play park is central in the site and well appointed and maintained.
Lovely site that I would thoroughly recommend!

This is a site that would be ideal, if not for two rather major drawbacks. The first is the road noise – I found this to be quite intrusive (except on the 3am trip to the toilet block!). The second is the drainage for the tent site – they have been doing work over the winter, but won’t take bookings for tents more than 2 days in advance, and for good reason I think.
That said, the site is very well cared for, attractive, clean and with an indoor washing up area and a laundry room with fridge and freezer. The owners have many thoughtful touches and the place is very good for small children. The playpark is lovely, there’s a stepstool in both ladies and gents so that little ones can reach the sink, and there’s a big jug with the baby bath to make life easier. As we had 4 adults and 2 wee ones, I asked for a second toilet key, and ended up with 3 as we were given access to the disabled shower. This is a wet room-style one with the only shower with a movable head. The able-bod showers were small, but there’s a folding chair behind each door.
We would go again to this site again for a short stay – it is in the perfect place for Blair Drummond Safari Park. The steam railway at Bo’ness is also worth a visit with your children, and there’s a good park with picnic benches at the foot of the Wallace Monument in Stirling – Corrieri’s is just down the road for ice-cream.

An excellent site with some of the best facilities I have seen. Toilets and showers are spotlessly clean and warm. There are indoor kitchen / dishwashing facilities and and excellent motorhome service pitch. Staff on site are excellent and order bread and newspapers for you for the following morning.
The site sits in Blairlogie, right at the foot of the Ochils, and in view of the Wallace Monument. A regular bus runs from the site, day and night, into Stirling (or Alloa in the other direction). Stirling is well worth a visit for places to eat and drink, as well as shopping. Stirling Castle and the City Jail are certainly worth seeing.

What a great campsite!
Easy to find and well placed on the outskirts of Stirling, Witches Craig does have a dramatic setting sitting beneath the Ochil hills and with the Wallace monument visible in the distance.
The owners were friendly and helpful and we were shown to our pitch on arrival.
We found the site nicely laid out for caravans and motorhomes but maybe the tent area is a little far from the facilities to be perfect.
You are given a key for the loos and showers which we found to be as good as any we’ve seen and were always spotless.
The children’s play area is well thought out and is set in the middle of the park and is fenced for added safety.
The weather was lousy when we visited but it did dry up long enough for us to do some sightseeing in Stirling and visit Blair Drummond safari park which was a great day out.
We want to explore this area again and, hopefully with better weather next time, we’ll be visiting Witches Craig again!
