Just back from 2 nights here in a tent. Would have happily stayed for longer but the weather forecast wasn't good so we chose to pack up and leave while it was dry.
Several changes since we were last there.
Tent field is fine, some slight slopes but tent field empty so no problems picking an area. The huts are a godsend in the rain. The benches now have a metal plate in the centre allowing you to now use your cooker/small BBQ in safety.
There is a new one way system in the park, didn't notice the old system causing any bother but it must have done if they went to the bother to change it. Also barriers for entry (code given for late night entry) and exit. Speed limit was observed while we were there.
Toilets remain spotless. Now has keypad entry on the toilets and laundry room. Music playing is nice for those of us who are toilet shy! The addition of the integrated child toilet seats was welcomed. My 3 yr old granddaughter could use the big loos! Site wasn't busy (was midweek) so never had to queue for the loo or a shower. Hot water freely available and the addition of a hairdryer and electrical socket (20p) was good to see as some of us just can't live without our hairdryers! Hubby needs the extra room of the disabled shower and it too was spotless. Since the park was quiet the owner allowed us to use the disabled toilet to bath/shower the 3 yr old and the baby. I understand this was a concession and maybe couldn't be expected at peak times. Rolls can be ordered the night before and picked up at 8:30am, cans of juice available to buy at reception.
Kids play park is good, was empty while we were there.
Really wish the weather would have allowed us to stay for longer but we will be back again soon.

Just back from a long weekend at this brilliant site. My only complaint? I didn't book for a week. Loved our pitch up at the rear of the site, extremely peaceful and amazing views over the ochil hills. I loved sitting out in front of the awning watching the buzzards flying about the hills.
Wardens are lovely, very friendly and nice people, and the facilities are first class. I could be picky and say the site could do with a second shower block as it was always full when I went up there, but not the end of the world and I can't think where they could put another block anyway.
If anyone is thinking about booking a pitch here, then please don't think. Just book it.
Can't wait to go back

Must be one of the best camping site in Scotland, the toilet block was spotless with great warm showers with the radio on all the time this might sound daft but made a big difference, the camping site it self was also spotless very clean and tidy, we had tent with electric, grass was short and area we camped was flat and dry, free wifi other camping sites take note this camping site was very busy why you might ask it little things like free wifi make the difference. There is a bus stop two minutes from camp site we got all day tickets so in morning went to stirling and a wander round shops and look at castle, went for lunch and had a pint which was great seen as I always have to drive, at night used tickets to go back in to town had a walk round about found a great friendly wee pup had a few pints and a great laugh with the locals. All in all a great couple of nights away would def go back.

Absolutely great campsite very clean and tidy. This trend continues in the toilet block which is spotless also nice touch with music playing. Showers are spot on lovely and warm. Playpark is great for kids its a very family friendly site. Ochill hills to the rear are breathtaking with many walks available ideal for dogs. Staff were very friendly and helpful pitches are well spaced and relatively easy to park in. Only one criticism is only having one toilet block at front of site if one was made at the rear this site would be perfect ( maybe I'm just being lazy lol) ideally situated to explore Stirling and surrounding areas. Will definitely be back.

We love this site.
On arriving it looked beautiful and clean with wonderful scenery and the staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Also great they do camping gaz and other refills.
The tent pitches were at the bottom of the park and had lots of picnic benches and wooden hut to use which were very handy.
The play park according to my 6 year old was brilliant and had a deep layer of rubber to cushion any falls.
The toilets/showers were spotless and it was lovely to have music player while showering.
The dish washing facilities were great as well they have really thought about what people need there is even free washing up liquid which is very help if you forget yours. We didn't use the laundry facilities but they looked great and lots were using it.
There is even a freezer for campers to use and a washing line.
This is a brilliantly placed site stirling is only three miles away and supermarkets very closer, it's only 30-40 mins drive to either Edingburgh or Glasgow, so plenty of activities near hand, we had the best hot chocolate ever at the coffee bothy which is about 1/2 mile away from the site its a must and its cakes are good as well.
All in all a brilliant site with wonderful views and very helpful staff we will definitely be going back.

Stayed here for the best part of a week in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. Weather was scorching for the whole week which certainly added to the experience.
Site very well run with very friendly staff, clean, modern toilet block (with music) and large pitches in a beautiful scenic setting.
Our two kids (9 & 7) had great fun in the safe play area with their new pals and plenty of space for them to ride bikes and scooters etc.
Ideally placed for trips into Stirling or a visit to Blair Drummond Safari Park.
Will definitely be heading back here in 2014.

The fact that this is was our fourth trip to Witches Craig should say it all!
We are a family of four, me him and two primary school age children and we just keep coming back to the site.
It's just the right site for us adults to relax and for the kids to have fun, they always manage to make friends and both the children have come away from visits with new penpals.
Right, back on track, the facilities are always spotlessly clean, ok so what if the tiles are a few years old and the colours aren't today's fashion. You aren't living there you're using the loo, having a shower, washing the dishes. The fact they are clean tidy and neat is all that matters, and the hot water in the showers is hot and lasts for more than enough time to get proper clean and shiny.
OK so the site doesn't have a shop. We could get milk for the first coffee of the day and a paper to read while we drank it, the rest of it we popped down the road to the local shops for.
The things that matter, the views around the site are stunning, the pitches for tents (both EHU and non EHU, we've used both) are good and well drained.
I've never had a problem with noisy neighbours at any of my visits, everyone settles down by the curfew of 11pm.
I have to lift my hat to Veda and Elin who run the reception well and keep an eye on the site superbly.
We Will be back!

A very helpful and friendly site. On the small side but beautifully laid out with excellent facilities for laundry and ablutions. We limped to the site with our RV suffering with gear box problems, the staff were concerned to offer us every assistance.
They only had one pitch suitable for an RV 34ft long, but the dumping facility was accessible and suitable. The dog walking was the best we had experienced, into a lovely wooded area on the side of the Ochil hills. The reception area offers an milk and bread ordering service and sells postcards, stamps and cold drinks as well as offering a great deal of information about local attractions and walks.
The views were great and the site made a great base to see the Wallace monument, Falkirk Wheel and visit Dunblane and Stirling. Sadly our RV left the site on the back of a lorry and our Scottish holiday came to an end. We particularly enjoyed the Italian at Corrieri's Cafe and the Coffee Bothy (and farm shop). We would highly recommend a visit to the site, Scottish hospitality at it's best.

Last here in 2009, so we knew it was a good site to come back to & agree with the positive reviews (especially about the friendly and efficient management). Had forgotten what a dramatic setting it is, below the gorse-covered scarp. Two changes since our last visit - free WiFi now. And much more hard standing after last year's wet weather. My one niggle - we were on pitch 47 at a site road junction and most people short-cut across our corner: not a problem with a porch or awning to provide privacy, but we sit outside with the dog on her lead. The owner later advised me that you can request a specific area or pitch when you book, and they'll try their best to give it to you. I've kept the site plan we were given, so I'll do that next time. Dog walk off-lead in the woods, on-lead in the fields with livestock. There are plans for a Core Path to pass through the woods, which will be a real plus for walking further afield off the busy main road.

Very tidy site in a gorgeous location! We were in pitch 44 which is Hardstanding ( loose stones ) and of a good size, this pitch is also right beside the play park which suited us as we had 2 young children with us. The backdrop of the Ochill Hills is stunning and with the weather being so good what a bonus being able to sit out and stare at them. Toilets were spotless and cdp also. Site was very busy with caravans and Tents, probably because of the great weather but even so it was very quiet at night. One pointer if you are on a Hardstanding touring pitch you will need Rock pegs and even so they took a good whacking. Plenty of large stores nearby at a retail park, Morrisons, B&Q etc. Really enjoyed our visit and staff very friendly, will be back.
