My Husband and I, have just got back in our motorhome from a fabulous few days at this park. We had a very warm welcome from the new owners of this park who very clearly take great pride, everywhere was absolutely immaculate. The views were fantastic and we had some beautiful walks from the park, the village is very quaint, with two very nice pubs both serve good food. You can take a trip across to Fowey by the passenger ferry. Thanks for a lovely time keep up the good work, we will definitely be back, highly recommended.

Great little site. Managed to get away for a couple of days after a hectic summer and this was spot-on. Takes touring units and tents and has sited vans for rent. Pros. Small, peaceful, everything very clean, tidy and organised (2006 Bellamy award). Site shop sells adequate range of goods and a local van comes round with fresh fruit & veg and more. The playground consists of a couple of swings (albeit with 40 miles of coastline in view), so children will need to be good at entertaining themselves while on site, and there are quite strict noise rules. Fantastic views from most of the site. Spend days without having to drive anywhere - Polruan village (2 pubs, shop and cafe) 5mins downhill walk, allow a bit more for getting up again! Ferry across the river to Fowey from Polruan, with more pubs and restaurants than you can manage in a week. Brilliant 'cos you don't have to drive so a couple of extra jars in the boozer won't hurt (but don't forget the hill) Boat trips a-plenty from Fowey. If you're Happy to drive around it's handy for the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the fishing ports of Looe, Mavagissey and Polperro. Cons. The hill up from the river! The only real problem I had with the site was the shower control - one of those mixers that goes side -to - side and in-and-out, kept knocking it with my elbow and getting an icy blast. Maybe I'm just clumsy? And the shower activating button is outside the cubicles. Their website is not running at the time of writing so you'll have to get a brochure via snail-mail. The only problem I have with recommending this site highly is that it's not very big and if too many of you book up there won't be room for me next time. P.S. My wife asks me to point out that she had no problem with the showers!

Stayed here for a weekend with my best friend over the early May Bank Holiday. This site is fabulous. The owner was very helpful, he showed us where to pitch and how to do it, we had to keep within some posts but there was plenty of space. The shop was well stocked and not badly priced. The owners even charged our mobile phones for us for a small fee that was donated to the local lifeboat charity. The toilet and shower block was fantastic, spotlessly clean and well appointed. This site has spoiled me for other sites, I next went camping with my family somewhere else and the facilities were no way as good as this. The walk into Polruan is lovely (on the way down). There is a lovely pub and harbour with a little ferry that takes you over the water to Fowey which is loaded with shops and bars. The walk back up to the campsite is another matter! However, we did make it. Not bad for a couple of fatties from the Fens. I definitely want to come here again with my children this time, hopefully I will but the drive from where I live to Cornwall is a long one. If you get the chance to stay at this campsite then do so - its brilliant.

Very welcomeming hosts. We were allocated a nice pitch at the top of the fields from where we could see the sea over the tentting field. Ample space and well maintained sanatory building. Very environmentally consious so seperate all refuge. As said, pub and ferrie to Fowey just down the hill which turns into "Cardiac Mount" for those not so healthy on the way back to the site. Good shop with fresh goods on site and a grocer visits the site on weekends with his pickup. He won't sell you goods that are available in the campsiteshop, for obvious reasons. He has fresh fruits and vegs and was an asset to our stay. We were mesmerised by the seamist coming into the land and can only now understand what is meant by the Celtic Mysts of Avalon. Absolute recommended site for R&R. Children have to be able to keep themselves occupied but fishing is available in the port, at the foot of "Cardiac Hill" or at a secret beachy spot (ask the siteowners!)

This is a small quiet site with good sea views and near a quaint village. Good for coastal path. Clean showers and friendly staff with a new well stocked shop. BBQ available and small children's play area in separate field. Very quiet and peaceful - no big noisy clubhouse or bar! Come here to relax and enjoy the surroundings - a very peaceful place.

Perfect site- on the top of a cliff overlooking the sea- beautiful views, and facilities good & clean, nice little shop on site selling basics. From the site you could walk down into Polruan and take a boat over to Fowey- loads of bars, pubs on sea front, great little town. The boats run late, and get you back after the pubs shut! Bit of a steep walk back uphill though when you have had a few. You can also walk right along the coast path to lovely secluded beaches- just make sure you take water/ food as there's nothing on the way! Probably takes an hour to get to first bay- we didnt get further than that but you can go all the way to Polkerris if you continue, and get taxi back (so we heard). I loved the site & would definatly return.

July 2005 Beautiful campsite! When we got there there was quite a complicated signing in bit, with very detailed instructions on how you pitch your tent. Nice little shop onsite tho, and very clean facilities. Campsites on a clifftop- the views from the camping fields were straight out to sea. Well worth the drive- the location was excellent.
Walking out the top of the campsite towards the sea, you can pick up the coast path. This was fairly easy (steep in places but managable in flip flops) with spectacular panoramic views. In about one and half hours you come to some little coves with white sand where you can swim. Take drinks and picnic tho- its National Trust land & theres no shops. We didnt get as far as Polperro but you can carry on to there.
In the evening we walked down into Polruan (5 mins- but very steep downhill) and got a little boat over to Fowey, where there were lots of pubs / resteraunts right on the water. The pubs in Polruan looked very appealing- I think you could spend a lot of time here. I'd certainly go back.

June 2003 Fantastic views out to sea, great site, clean toilets & showers. I have nothing bad to say about it. There are 2 pubs at the bottom of the hill - a few mins walk away. You can also get the ferry over to Fowey which runs until pub closing time. Only thing to note is that we were in a tent which meant we got sea views. If you are in a caravan you have to go in the back field which means no views.
