Would say this site is clean and functional but imo overpriced and you are being charged more just for being on Skye.
The site clearly hasn’t had much spent on it to keep up with what is expected at camp sites these days and what you get elsewhere for less or similar cost.
We were planning on 2 nights but changed our minds mainly due to vfm as lots of roadside spots so would advise it’s worth a stop if you need to charge/ replenish water etc.
Motorhome pitches are level and hard standing but wouldn’t like to camp as tent pitches were mostly on a slope.
Would return for a 1 night stop as it was clean and functional but the owners need to invest and give people the standards they expect.

Management response: Thank you for the review.
We are the cheapest on Skye and certainly don't charge for being on Skye. You would also be aware we don't offer services for non residents if you stayed with us.
Your thoughts also differ from tent reviews.
Sorry your stay wasn't what you expected.
ACSI, Visit Scotland, AA and Rodgers to name a few all inspect and approve our facilities. |

This is the cleanest, best kept, quietest campsite I’ve ever stayed at.
The staff are engaging and caring, it feels like a family.
They could easily ram more tents in for profit but sites are allocated and it’s well organised.
I will return.

Great facilities- 2 showers plenty of toilets, two good sink areas and a communal kettle and microwave- which after a week waiting for water to boil on a stove was a welcome surprise.
Felt safe and secure- quiet on a evening

We stayed 2 nights at Staffin Campsite in one of their pitches with electric hook-up.
We were warmly welcomed and given all the info we needed.
The site is very well maintained and the facilities were also well looked after.
We felt very comfortable during our stay.
The location was also ideal for accessing all the popular attractions in this part of Skye.
We will certainly use this site again.

We enjoyed our stay at Staffin Campsite for 2 nights, to explore the Trottenish peninsula.
The pit was spacious, with electricity and space to eat outside. The facilities were very clean, and the laundry room was very appreciated.
The customers service was polite and caring, with many advices about the nearby hiking trail and activities.

Well organised, full description of layout of campsite on arrival and where to go for local shops and walks.
Set up was easy for the van.
Toilet block clean and the showers were great.
Whole campsite immaculate, buckets emptied all the time and several points to top up on water. Even had a catty out service to the pitch! When do you ever see that.
Well with the journey to the north of Skye.

What an epic place to stay. Super clean and absolutely stunning place.
Great facilities and a beautiful hike down to the dinosaur footprints but these amazing qualities aren't the best thing about this place, it's definitely the staff.
They are so friendly, helpful and kind. From chatting to us about our trip and giving us advice on what to do and where to go to helping us with laundry issues and chatting about our home towns and even making us an absolutely delicious dinner and delivering it right to our pitch.
The staff are definitely what makes this lovely campsite the best place we've stayed on our wee holiday trip.
Thank you so much to each of you for making our stay so memorable and lovely.
If I could rate higher than 10 out of 10, I would!
