A site well placed for the moors, coast and vale. Clean and tidy amenities block, and grass pitches which are numbered.
The pitch we had towards the top of the field backing onto the woods (ideal for dog walking, kids exploration)had views across the Vale of Pickering.
Pickering itself has a Lidl and Co-op, plus numerous independent retailers and a street market.
Plenty to do around, steam railway Scarborough, Whitby, Nunnington Hall and Eden Camp to name a few. Very good walking country.
All this at a fair price, would stay again without hesitation.

This is a lovely and homely rural site on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Excellent facilities - toilets, free showers, washing up, laundry, fridge and freezer, cleaned several times a day.
Friendly and obliging owners and reasonably priced - the owners let us have a corner of the field for our three tents.
Plenty of room for children (and adults) to play, woodland walks straight from the site, and sounds of nature (especially owls at night) and steam train whistles from afar. (The only downside was the noise of tractors bringing in the harvest, but that's a feature of rural life at this time of year!)

Lovely small site, well situated for exploring the Moors.
There are 2 fields, but both are close to the modern and clean facilities. 3 loos and 2 showers for each sex, plus a family and disabled room. Washing up is under cover and there is a laundry available (although a wash cycle takes £2. 60, not £2. 40 as stated).
The top field is a little more exposed than the bottom, so take plenty of pegs. Beautiful views though and plenty of space for football and games in the centre.
We were busy there, visiting Ryedale Folk museum, Whitby, Runswick bay, Robin Hood's bay, Pickering, Eden camp, Dalby Forest to name a few.
There is a Lidl and Co-op available in PIckering as well as a butchers and a few bakers. Keren, the owner was very welcoming and many campers return.

Stayed at this campsite with two 13 year olds and an 8 year old. Everyone really enjoyed the stay here.
The campsite is in a beautiful location with nice views and a nice woodland just behind it, which all the children loved playing in and exploring.
The campsite has great facilities, including washing up, washing machine & dryer, toilets, showers etc. All kept very clean and tidy.
The owner, Keren is very friendly and helpful and will go out of her way to help should you need it.
We would definitely return to this campsite.

Lovely clean and peaceful campsite. I was in the back field with only 2 other tents so there was plenty of room. Beautiful view over meadow. Showers hot and clean.
The only minus points were that It seemed a bit pricey considering it is quite basic and the recycling facilities were not brilliant.
There was only glass and cardboard separated not cans or plastic or food waste, but I don't know what the local council does so maybe that is all that is recycled up here?
The owners were lovely they came over and had a little chat when I arrived.
Very quiet and dark at night, lovely.
