Visited this site in early July along with my sister and family and another friend and family (6 Adults and 6 children)for a 2 night stay
Had some lovely weather
Was very impressed with we first pulled in gorgeous place
Shower/toilet block was immaculate camping field very nice
We were greeted by a very friendly owner who gave us the long list of campsite rules to follow. One of these rules being to quieten down by 10. 30pm we didn't realise however just how strict this rule would be, we have been camping for 15 years plus and have never been asked twice to stop talking and keep the noise down. We have small children who were in bed fast asleep at the time undisturbed by our quiet chatting
This site would be ideal for you if you want to go to bed at 10. 30pm

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this little gem of a campsite!
The owner first of all called us to let us know our pitch numbers and to make sure we knew how to get there which I found really nice. Once arrived and set up, she came round to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed.
The toilet blocks are immaculate and heated with underfloor heating. All fully stocked with toilet paper and handwash. Showers have a hairdryer (which isn't great) and a shaver point. Made full use of the family bathroom (which came equipped with baby bath, which was great with my 6 month old). Loved the fact that we could store our food in the fridge and freezer that was on site. Fresh eggs are available, as is local sausages (which the other family we camped with said were lovely)and ice cream (although we didn't get any). The pot wash was supplied with sponges and washing up liquid etc and were kept clean and tidy. There is even a recyling point which we thought was good.
The pitches we were on (at the bottom of the field) were on a slope which was a bit awkward in the tent as slept on a slight slope, but that was the only issue we had with the pitch, concrete blocks are placed around the site so you can put BBQs/hot kettles on to prevent damaging the grass.
We sat out every night with the tilly lamp on every night chatting going on till 11. 30pm one night and we were never approached by the owner for making too much noise. She even commented the next day that we had a nice set up with the tents and windbreaks etc, no issues either with the noise from my baby when she woke in the night crying.
Shops, pubs and cafes in Pickering a 10 min drive away. Also the North York Moor Railway which is a good day out, we travelled also tp the Yorkshire Air Museum and took a day trip to Bridlington. Lots to do!
Fabulous place and brilliant value for money at only £12 per night (no EHU), would definitely recommend!

We visited Bank top farm for the first time last week (mon-fri)~ hubby, 17 month old, myself and my cousin and her hubby + 2 kids.
The owner was always very pleasant and happy to help throughout the holiday. Wouldn't even take site fees off us until Thursday (when we made her so we didn't spend it in Brid!)
Pitch: Caroline had rung us the night before to let us know what number pitch as she was not going to be on site when we arrived. We were along the bottom edge of the field which does have a slight slope, however pitches decent sizes, (EHU available although we don't use). Plenty of water points available throughout the site.
Facilities: fantastic! Family room was a god send ~ shower, toilet basin and baby bath/potty etc for use. Just rinse when your done. Male and female sections with 3 toilets & 2 showers in each (free). All immaculate - and mops available to clean up after yourself so everyone could experience the same standards even if they followed you in. Site was pretty full (overflow site also in use towards the end of the week) although only had to queue for family room X1, others never!
X2 pot washing sinks - outdoors but under cover. With a few children's outdoor play things to keep the kids occupied as you wash!
Fridge & freezer available for free - just lable anything you put in. Washing machine and dryer also available at minimal charge (not sure what as didn't use).
Locality: Although nothing in walking distance for group with 2 pushchairs, lovely villages a short drive away and close enough to do a day at the coast. Fantastic!
Overall: Fantastic! would definitely use and recommend to family and friends.
NB. The four adults sat outside the tents talking each night past 10. 30 - never had any problems with noise levels - although we did ensure we 'toned down' the volume of conversation at 10. 30. Caroline even commented how good our 'set up' look on an evening with the tilley lamp lit

We spent 4 nights at this delightful campsite. We arrived and were greeted by Caroline, who welcomed us to the site, gave us the option of where to set up camp and explained the facilities. These included:-
- a toilet block with 2 showers, 3 toilets and several sinks all enjoyed with numerous hooks and underfloor heating. (for ladies, can't say about the mens)
- Washing up facilities
- recycling facilities
- small kitchen area with fridge, freezer and fresh eggs available. Sausages could be bought from Caroline (which were delicious)
- lealets on local attractions
There was no specific area for children to play in, but there was plenty of room between the pitches, which if there had been children, they could have played in.
The pitches were generously sized and fairly flat with drinking water taps close by.
The campsite is short drive (10 mins) from Pickering, which has several shops, pubs and steam railway station, which is highly recommended as an enjoyable day out. Additionally several National Trust Properties in the area. Pickering also has a very child friendly swimming pool.
The whole stay was thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely stay at the campsite if in the area again.

This is the best site we've stayed on so far. It's what we look for in a site, with immaculate facilities and plenty space for the children to play.
The children had the best time ever making friends despite having no play area and enjoyed playing on the bike which was available for use.
The owner is very helpful and friendly and the site had a lovely feel about it.
The only downfall would be the sloping pitches which makes me rate this 9/10 although I think we possibly got the most sloping at the bottom of the field, I would ask for a pitch nearer the top the next time as these seemed better.
Another visit is definitely on the agenda!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this site with our 2 children & a group of friends, all of which where in families with teenage children.
Our first impressions where as per the other reviews on this site, immaculately kept site with new shower/toilet block, great location, good pitches for both tent & Caravan.
Weather when we visited was superb & we had a great weekend. That was until the second night that is.
Being experienced campers of 15+ years we had observed the rule requesting to quieten down at 10:30pm but didn't realize just how strict this rule was.
We turned off music, put the small children to bed & lowered our voices but it would seem sitting outside of your tent having general conversation with friends & family is over the top for the owners of this site, who patrol the fields ensuring you are tucked up in bed by 10:30 & if you are not, you will be told to be quiet even for just talking.

As with all the other reviews, I can only say this site is a little gem! the facilities are superb and the best of any site we have ever been on!
The owner could not have been more helpful, even rescuing our awning, which collapsed during strong winds.
The site is on a slope which is the only bit of criticism I have.
Although there is no children's play area, there were toys and bikes for their use, but to be honest, ours enjoyed the fields and surrounding woodland and made friends quickly with the friendly regulars to the site.
In all I would recommend without hesitation.

This site is absolutely fantastic!
The owner Caroline works really hard to ensure that everyone has a pleasant stay.
Toilet and showers are absolutely immaculate whatever time of day you visit them. Family room is also available which is helpful if you have small children.
Pitches are situated round the outside of the field so the large area in the middle is great for children to play in. While we were there somebody turned up without a booking and Caroline told them it was full and they said there was plenty of space left and they would pitch up in the middle. Caroline told them no, that was space for the children to play in!
Would whole heartedly recommend this site - an absolute credit to all Caroline's hard work.

Well I wont argue with all that's been said this site is fab. Caroline could not do enough, even supplies chocks etc to level van!
Good little pub just up the road in Newton rawcliffe which serves god cheap food, try the homemade curry!
The loos etc are immaculate with top brand soap and loo rolls for free yes free.
I cannot see this site being kept a secret for much longer if truth be known I didn't want to review but for the owners sake I had to.

Absolutely immaculate site ! Definitely worth the £15 ehu charge per night.
Separate Men & women toilet & shower block, 3 toilets 2 showers, also a family shower room, and disabled too. We never had to wait and it was Easter weekend. Two sink pot washing facilities spotless. With washing up liquid too if needed. Caroline is always cleaning toilets, showers and checking they ok. Also has a laundry room with dryer for use (at a small charge) and fresh free range eggs for sale.
Large spacious plots, with numerous water stations around the field. Stunning views towards Pickering (5 miles away) and a wood/forest at the rear for dog walking or just a walk in the woods ! Pickering has a Co-op for shopping and numerous cafes/shops for bits and bobs. And a good chippy too !
We had a lovely long Easter weekend with Caroline and William even bringing the girls Chocolate eggs on Easter Sunday.Fabulous ! Excellent location for Bike riders and walkers alike, with Whitby (via the moors.A lovely scenic route, about 25mile ) & Scarborough about 20 mile. Eden camp is another good visit, and York is not too far away.
There is also a bakery van that stops (Weds & Friday) with fresh bread selection, cakes, a few sweet choices, just whats needed to go with the fresh free range eggs!
All in all I cannot rate this site highly enough. It was our 1st 'caravanning' holiday and we couldn't have picked a better site for our 1st trip !
