We received a warm and helpful welcome at this lovely site not far out of the lovely town of Bedale.
The pitches are smart and spacious, although lacking any trees or bushes between pitches for protection or privacy.
The pitches have great views across the Vale of York towards the North York Moors in the distance and although you can just see the traffic on the A1(M) there was no discernable noise from it.
The separate toilets and showers were clean, although a heater in them would have been nice during the cold spell while were were there.
We'd stay there again if we were visiting the area.

Excellent site. Superbly clean. Warm welcome from Stella on arrival.
Short walk into the village & the local pub, The Bay Horse, where we enjoyed fish & chips Friday.
Great location and easy access to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors/Whitby.
Would definitely recommend.

Single traveller, stayed for 2 nights, clean and tidy site level ground.
Spotless toilets, decent shower. Nice and quiet. Would stay there again.
Useful information hut, with walks, tourist leaflets, etc.
I missed out on the duck eggs for sale, they had all gone.

Having read the reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk I was really looking forward to visiting Greengate Farm, and wow - I was not disappointed
Stella runs the site and she is so friendly, helpful and great fun! We had a tent and were put on Pitch 7 which was spacious. Pitches 7-12 have views out across beautiful open farmland with sheep and amazing views. We pitched the tent facing out to these.
It's a small site, very peaceful and quiet. There is just 1 toilet and shower per gender but we never had to wait for the shower and rarely had to wait for the loo. Talking of which, they are spotless and nicely appointed.
The loos are clean with a sink, shelf, mirror, handwash and paper towels. The showers (free) also have a sink, are spacious with adjustable pressure and temperature and are continuous - no having to keep pressing a button. There are 2 outside, covered washing up stations. Plenty of (very) hot water
There are plenty of water taps around the site so never a need to walk more than a couple of yards, and electric hookups.
The site is just a couple of minutes off the A684 so is really close to Bedale and very handy for Leyburn, Hawes, Aysgarth etc. It's also not far to Richmond, Catterick, Masham so a good base for local travel especially with so much to see and do in the area.
Prices are reasonable - at the time of writing £22 per night for a pitch including 2 people and car
Even with my Victor Meldrew hat on there really is nothing negative to say about this site at all. Mega friendly owner, great facilities, amazing views and an excellent location

Last visited this site in 2016 and the high standards from then have not changed, I can honestly say they are probably better.
Water at each pitch now n your very own picnic table.
Area for walking the dog, on lead.
Very well maintained and cleanliness is second to none.
Stella is an excellent host and nothing is to much bother.
You won’t be disappointed with this site.
Only negative is the access road a bit bumpy but worth it once you reach the site.
We will definitely return there.
