A great stay at Greengate Farm.
Very well kept and maintained site.
Toilets and showers spotlessly clean.
Stella, site owner, was very welcoming and always available if needed.
We can’t give praises enough.

A warm welcome awaited us at greengate farm, and was easy to find,
The pitch had a slight slope but nothing to worry about,
Plenty of room between vans, with pitches having electric hook up and water and a nice touch was each pitch had its own picnic table,
Stella the owner was so helpful, friendly happy to have a chat and offer help and advise on places to visit if needed,
The facilities were clean and tidy with plenty of hot water, even though there is one shower and toilet each for both men and women, and the site was fairly busy we did not have to queue,
All in all if you are looking for a friendly peaceful, quiet location give greengate farm ago.

This was the best site we stayed at on our week in North Yorkshire.
The grass was closely cut, there were water taps at each pitch and the facility block and whole area was exceptionally neat, clean and tidy.
The toilets and superb shower were spotless, as was the sheltered dishwashing area, with plenty of hot (very hot!)water. Recycle bins, chemical toilet disposal and information leaflets in the separate hut completed the facilities.
Although only one toilet and shower for ladies and one for men, there was never a problem waiting. That would probably change if there were several tents and small campervans on site, as one may not then be enough!
A fifteen minute pleasant stroll across the field and along the river took us to the Bay Horse pub in the lovely village of Crakehall, with a very friendly and welcoming landlady and excellent food.
It overlooked the green and we had the added bonus of watching the local quoits match and catching up on emails with the WiFi! We even bought fresh eggs from the hut in the approach lane for our next morning's poached breakfast.
This quiet site will definitely be on our return list and as a stopover for longer trips North.

Definitely the” MAYFAIR “of campsite Monopoly.
Excellent well maintained facilities managed by well organised owners.
Highly Recommend this peaceful site, easy to get to from the motorway, and plenty of places to visit nearby.
Well done Stella.

A real find in Crakehall. Fabulous little site meticulously kept by Stella, with spotless showers, toilets and grassed areas like a bowling green.
Probably more suited to those enjoying peace and quiet, but there’s a little country pub a few minutes walk away, with Bedale only a short hop by car too.

Originally booked for 3 nights but ended up booking an extra 2 nights.
Cannot fault the site and nothing is too much trouble for Stella who keeps everything immaculate.
Stayed here last year too so happy to recommend.

We always get a warm welcome from Stella and Steve.
The site is immaculate and so peaceful day and night.
The toilets shower and washing up facilities are spotless.
Lovely walks straight from site into Bedale or The Bay Horse pub just 10 mins away.
We didn't want to leave as it's just so relaxing here.
Highly recommended by us.
