We booked this site for 6 nights over October half term grandad, nanny and 4 year old grandson,
Lovely site tucked away quietly in the village, driving distance to good places to take children
Shower and toilet facilities very clean and tidy separate gents and ladies a bonus, and separated shower with lashings of hot water no feeding the shower cash machine here
Little information shed with lots of info on places to visit, a freezer if you need it and a library book shelf
All pitches flat well kept and water at pitch, picnic tables at each pitch as well
Waste water disposal, rubbish disposal and recycling
No complaints at all
We arrived back on Halloween afternoon to find pumpkins with nightlights and scary things in various places
Our grandson was very happy, then happier still to find Halloween chocolates on our picnic table
A very much appreciated extra touch
All in all a very good site a credit to the owner Stella
We will be back

Another lovely peaceful stay here. Again welcomed by Stella. Makes all the difference. Two new hard-standing pitches so no problems with wet ground. Very wide pitches so great for privacy.
Site facilities attended to daily by Stella. Looked spotless to me although didn't have to use them.
Access road pot-holes repaired so no problems. Hidden away but with easy access to many wonderful places to visit.
Will be back next month.

The site is kept nice in good location the 2 toilets and 1 shower are in a shed.
Which makes the nightly fee little high. The grass is kept short with good size pitches with room for children to play the lane down to the site needs some attention.

Another wonderfully peaceful stay here. Very, very quiet.
Again, made very welcome by Stella on arrival.
Extremely wide pitches so not looking into neighbour's vans.
Dog friendly.
Large supply of information leaflets about local places in hut on field.
Very many interesting places to visit that are not too far away.
Access road is a normal highway up to the drive to the field, so is easy to get to.
Open all year. Park on central hard-standing if wet.
We will be back as soon as possible.

First time out in the new Caravan and first time using a CS site.
By chance as we arrived we were met by Stella
And on pitching up despite our best attempts we could not engage the motor mover doh was this an omen for the weekend we thought and what other catastrophes would await us
The site is very spacious and the views over the fields was a very different change to the ones we had been used too in the past ( we are kid free!)
All the facilities that you needed were there Toilets, one shower (never had to wait for it to be free and always hot water), washing up area and waste disposal and a little information hut too.
All in all as a first experience of a CS site we were extremely impressed. Lets hope we have not be spoilt!

Spent a very quiet, relaxing and peaceful twelve nights over the Christmas and New Year on this delightful site. Booking the pitch early in December with Stella was a pleasant, friendly and easy task. Arrived on site on 22 December, found my designated pitch and got set up. The park is easy to get to, access is good and even larger caravans would have no problems. Open country side all around, a nice place to be. Facilities are first class and kept spotlessly clean by Stella, who is always on hand if needed, but allows you to have your privacy, peace and quiet. There are separate toilets for ladies and gentlemen with a shower on site, with copious amounts of hot water. Two pot wash sinks again loads of hot and cold running water on tap. Each pitch has its own electric hook up and has the added benefit of its own water tap, so you can plumb your van in to a direct supply. Not many sites have this excellent facility. A comprehensive array of local information is available in a separate timber building, especially good for those not familiar with the area. I would highly recommend this site, it’s a little gem and one can only imagine how good it would be in the summer months. Thanks again to Stella and David for a great stay and even more thanks for the assistance in hooking the van up at the end of my visit and the jump start for my car on departure, when it wouldn’t start.

Stayed here for 3 days over Christmas, super little site and was just us and one other caravan. Stella is super friendly and welcoming, she arrived on site at the same time as us and reiterated her previous email about staying on the gravel pathway and not a grass pitch due to the rain, this was no problem as could still hook up. Lovely shower and separate toilet (1 for each sex ) and both were heated which was lovely as it was cold and windy whilst we were there. Walked into bedale (approx 6 miles there and back) but a level walk although road side for majority of journey and is quite a fast road. Had a lovely lunch in Panetti's. Had Christmas Day lunch in The Wensleydale Heifer (a little expensive but well worth it) which is about 10 miles away. Fab views from site and was lucky enough to see 2 kestrels sitting on the fence posts on numerous occasions and a buzzard was often seen. Peaceful site and we will be back.

Super site. Very easy to get to. Lovely field, not over-large so a feeling of cosiness. Surrounded on all sides by farmland.
Met by Stella on arrival. Very friendly, which makes so much difference, especially to a solo traveller. All information chatted through. Always available and ready to help but, other than that, you are left alone.
Exceptionally quiet site. Very dog friendly.
Huge plots, 12m wide and not very many of them.
All the usual facilities – all very clean.
Loads of really useful leaflets about all the wonderful nearby places to visit. There is a huge amount to do round this area.
There is also a book and dvd swop in the information hut.
Brilliant TV reception with ordinary van-top aerial.
Glorious area of the country. Thorp Perrow arboretum very highly recommended and only 11 mins away. Stunning autumnal colours. A photographer’s dream, as is Crakehall village itself.
Bedale – lovely little town. Very picturesque.
Kiplin Hall very worth a visit too. Gorgeous lunches in the Jacobean tea room with very friendly staff.
Also visited Amanda Owen, shepherdess, (been on the tellybox with Ben Fogle quite a bit), at Ravenseat, Keld.
An absolutely magical place to go and only 1. 25 hrs away. (They live on the coast to coast walk and serve wonderful cream teas in the season!) Lovely to talk with Amanda about her life farming in the Dales with hubbie and 9 children.
