Wel,l a another nice haven site. Check in was great and easy. The touring area is a little tight so manoeuvring a caravan could be tricky in high season.
Toilet block ok but codes are used on doors and the ladies would work when it wanted, not good when you are busting
Pitches were ok ,a little muddy but as October its understandable as near end of season.
Staff were great. Swimming pool was a little small but as we went before Dorset half term it was always quiet. Flume not working either but my son loved the large slide. Mash and barrel pub had free wi-fi which was good, food lovely if a little small, good prices.
Evening entertainment was great
Where the touring area are a lot of statics, and customers have to walk past - ok in day, but late evening we had a lot of shouting, screaming and singing!
Downside is you need to be of your pitch by 10am - you could ask to stay later for a fee if your pitch was free, if not the view point on site could be used (at your own risk)
Would go again

Stayed in static although used to touring. Pleasantly surprised. Far better than disappointing Park Resorts places we have visited before. We will definitely do Haven again and next time take the tourer as well as rest of family having static. Our plot was pretty awful as it was at the bottom of a very steep hill so we couldn't easily cycle around. Also very muddy, so ensure you ask for the right plot when you book. Apart from that the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Restaurant is superb to my surprise and bar was well stocked. We noticed that the touring area was in a good position and none of the Park Resorts style advertising all over the place for buying a static. All pitches are fully serviced with concrete for van and grass for awning. Children's facilities are excellent and swimming pool is clean, big and well supervised but allowing good fun with the kids etc. Well worth a visit.

Due to bad weather closing the littlsea and seaview sites we were offered a static van here and after the dissapointment of not being able to use all our camping gear for the first time we headed off for a caravan.
On arrival we were told our van number and shown where it was and given our passes before the van had been checked, we were very impressed with the van and it was so clean I didn't need to do my usual clean through (ocd).
The staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed a doctor one evening, security into the entertainment complex was outstanding (i wouldn't argue with them). The entertainers were great with the children and although some of the novelty items were a little pricey in the shop and the arcade full to bursting with machines its what you expect at a haven site. The drinks were no more expensive than the local pub (the yachtsman which does lovely food).
Overall I was very impressed with the site and would recommend it to anyone. Also the little beach cafe is lovely on a sunny afternoon to get a coffee while the kids play in the sand or go crabbing.
The only downside I can think of is if you have mobility issues it is very hilly and it may be worth requesting a van near the main complex to save yourself the hills! everywhere was clean, lovely men wondered round all day picking up litter and my camera which had fallen from my bag.
The pool was very clean (no flip flops needed in changing areas) and staff busy sweeping water away in changing areas all the time.

Just back from this lovely site, very clean fantastic facilities, lovely walks around the nature reserve, and down to the beach with our dogs.
The weather was the worst it could possibly be, we had flood water coming under our awning which you have to set up on the grass area of the pitch. The result was mud and water in our awning, sadly had to throw the groundsheet away, because of this and fed up with getting soaked. 3 days running, we decided to cut our holiday short and come home to a very dry south east! At least we could dry our awning out, towels clothes etc! Maybe a shingle area for awnings would be better!
Would definitely return to this site, we were a little cheesed off with the evening entertainment, mainly for children until 930 10ish, then the entertainments staff sang their hearts out. No sign of any acts while we were there.
Local area good plenty to see and do. Raining or not!

Fantastic site. We left our van there all of June. Haven do fantastic prices for the month, it was cheaper than a week. Fantastic pitches. Don't have pitch 12 has straight opposite elstan point. Which is just a toilet. We asked to be moved which they did. Rest of site very clean, security very good
Beach at end of site with cafe. Poole 5 mins way
Good entertainment
Would vist site again

Poole is lovely and this site was great, we had doubts as we'd read on the Haven website there may be issues with parking your car near your caravan but this wasn't an issue at all,
the pitch was brilliant with the caravan on hardstanding, the awning on the grass and space to park the car next to the awning or in front of the caravan on the road.
This left a useful play area on the grass right outside our awning! The pitches were clearly marked and separated by a small wooden fence with newly planted trees. Hook up point with elec, water and tv points, water spout at awkward angle to fill a 40ltr aquaroll if sat flat on floor, had to be tipped and held at an angle!
Overall the site was very clean and well looked after. Spar shop on site with most things, postcards were of Bournemouth instead of Poole which we thought odd. Indoor pool area good for the kids, outdoor pool would have been great if open in the hottest week of the year so far but they refused to move the open date from the Fri to the Mon at the start of the week.
Didn't visit the bar or restaurant on site so can't comment. Did visit the local Asda which is massive, not far from the site and open 24 hrs, also there is the Lakeside Fish n Chip restaurant which also does takeaway. Amazing!
We popped up to Southampton for Paultons Park (Peppa Pig World), went out on a boat from Poole Quay, visited Weymouth, Sandbanks and Tower Park

Firstly for anyone like me who found this website whilst searching for a particular type of site and that search was to find a site near a beach and it’s a beach with sand to make a sand castle then you’ve found the right place.
My boy wanted to do two things this weekend; he wanted to go away in a campervan and go to the beach and build a sand castle. At four I’m sure his wish list will get bigger and better with age but this was hard enough. There are a lot of beaches in this area but they are mostly stone or shingle, those that are sandy don’t seem to have camping on the door step or walking distance.
This Haven site had a beach, it had sand and it also had water sports (too cold in April thanks) not the biggest beach but it did the job, a ten minute walk from the touring area but worth it.
As for the site, the touring area was clean, there were a lot of tourers considering the time of year and the weather forecast. Seemed to be a lot of caravans with transit/builder type vans as prime movers, not sure if the site was being used during local building works. The amenities were clean, could do with slatted boards in the male changers to aid keeping clothes dry (had them in the ladies, not the gents) a squeegee, a bench or more hooks would help too. Never had to queue for any of the amenities though.
The on site facilities were second to none, Spar shop, usual amusement arcade, main event hall, crazy golf and much more besides.
Food wise there was takeaway pizza or we opted for the nice pub with grub reasonably priced, drinks felt over priced though but you can’t have it all.
My kids are young so we didn’t get involved in the entertainment but the indoor pool was clean had a slide that my boy loved. You can see the place is a Haven for kids, but if you want a quiet time, hire a static that is far away from the hustle and bustle and you wouldn’t even know you’re in a kid friendly holiday park.
There was some sort of rugby tour type do on this weekend and they were staying the other side of where we were, so a rowdy five minutes occurred whilst they filtered back to their beds in the early hours, didn’t wake my exhausted kids though. Also if you get a pitch close to the facilities, you might be nearer, but then so is the sound of the disco which quietens at about midnight at the weekend. All in all I would and will return, most likely in the summer and when the kids are older. A good weekend was had by all.
Highly recommended if you have kids do it, they will love it there, if you don’t have kids do it but position yourselves strategically so you avoid the noise and hustle and bustle.

Quite a new touring field, easy to find but follow signs in due to a low bridge. Good entertainment and private little beach. Site mainly has statics.
A lot of the sports activities you have to pay extra for and it has a huge arcade which attracts kids so every 10 mins they were after money. Security on entertainment complex which requires you to show your pass. Nice pool small but ok.
Had a nice meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced.
All in all nice site but loose the arcades please, and poole is a very nice place.

Greeted at the gate by someone who was expecting us. No delays. The pitch was excellent, even though it was on no. 11, straight opposite the Elsan point! We had a hardstanding & our own turret with water, electric & digital tv aerial socket but as I'd forgotten the telly it was somewhat academic!
Three nights for absolutely peanuts, the Hoobs rock group was quite brilliant, and the group on the second night were quite good too. Mind you, we weren't sure which was more entertaining: the groups, or the resident 'entertainers' in their 2-3 sizes too small blue blazers!
Very tight security in the entertainment complex, passes must be shown, with no exceptions: apparently a lot of local low life tries to get in. There were lots of staff working on the site.
I had an issue with the toilet facilities. The self-closers on the external doors had been removed, thus rendering the security code system ineffective. Apparently this was done because small children were being let into the toilets without their parents accompanying them, and they couldn't reach the exit handle to get out. Result: doors open all the time. The door being open all the time also meant that the place was freezing!
The shower booths need enhancement in that there were insufficient hooks, no seats or chairs, and no squeegees, which meant one had to stand in other people's muddy footprints.
We took the convenient and regular bus into Poole, the stop is inside the resort.
A good value break, but better for kiddies than a pair of OAP's!

We visited this site mainly because of the value for money pitch fees for this time of the year. The area is a favourite of ours and we rarely use these commercial sites now that our children are grown up.
We agree with the other reviews that on arrival the park was spoilt by the parking of Company vehicles blocking the road and also the touring area junction, which is just to the side of reception.
Check in was very good and the staff were very polite. However if you are told you are on pitch 12 ask to be moved now. The touring area is fairly new but is showing heavy signs of wear already, thank heavens it didn't rain, the roads are very narrow, there are many obstacles on the pitches and as the trees and shrubs mature it will be very claustrophobic.
I did not see anybody who was able to reverse their vans on to the pitches without problems, mainly due to random tree planting, fencing, fire hydrants or other obstructions.
The pitches are very tight so make sure that when you book you have your unit size, and if you wish to put up an awning be prepared to have nowhere to put your car on some of the pitches.
Pitch 12 is situated dead opposite the toilet block building, however the view from your front window is of the elsan disposal point. There is no screening or doorway it is just an open toilet with a cistern above it. There must be something done with this. Every morning people emptying toilets and waste water bottles in to it is not my idea of heaven. The spillages (and there was quite a lot of them) then ran down the path and straight across the road towards the pitch and the smell from that was disgusting.
This whole area was obviously thought of from a commercial point of view and not from visitors needs. Too cramped, too close to the complex where the music goes on until the early hours.
We visited the entertainment complex and there was a tribute band on. Very loud and poor sound quality. The pizza outlet was ok, but there is no system to tell you when your order is ready. You queue up and order and pay and are told a waiting time of approx 20 mins. It is then up to you to queue back up again and keep asking if your order is ready. Peak season that could be a nightmare, lots of people grumbling about this but nobody taking any notice. No one seemed to be in control of this and the young staff were run off their feet.
There is plenty to see and do in this area and there are a lot of much better sites on which to stay. Statics are king here and touring comes a very poor second.
