August 2005 On arrival was allocated the smallest pitch possible with tv ariel hanging off and leaking tap. The toilet and shower block was not cleaned for days on end. In the tent area the chemical toilets were not emptied for 5 days. The disabled toilet floor was a puddle of water, the seat was broken off. The cleaning staff when confronted complained that they were only paid minimum wage so why should they clean them properly! The shower and toilet floors were flooded every day. The entertainment was very poor. Reception staff were unhelpful and dismissive. I was not the only complainant I had to stand in line behind the others! Cost of this wonderful experience? Three hundred big ones for 6 nights! If for some strange reason you choose to stay longer than your alloted time the kind people there will clamp your vehicle and charge you for the privelage. Never again.

April 2005 Booked this site with some trepidation as the 'all in' sites are not usually our first choice. However we thought our children might benefit from the facilities.
On first arriving we discovered after a tedious wait to check in that our van had no TV and no duvets as ordered. to the credit of the site staff these were organised and delivered very quickly to our caravan.
The caravan appeared brand new and was very clean, the kettle and toaster were obviously new and unused, the leads still in their packaging. Some of the cutlery was also unpacked.
The first evening we experienced the noise that is possible on these bigger sites with shouting and cheering, traffic noise etc from about 11pm till 3am. A Police car was parked outside our van for about 1/2 hour around midnight.
The second night a group of boys in a privately owned caravan who had been drinking all afternoon decided to start driving about like fools in a trashy Corsa with loud exhaust pipes. Security did deal with them quickly it has to be said.
Our electric also tripped off on the second evening and we had to get a technician out to sort it out as the trip switch was inaccesible. The carpet in the ensuite toilet was soaking wet from some sort of leak. In the end we didn't bother complaining again and simply avoided using that toilet.
The beds are small and not particularly comfy but the general layout of the caravan was good as was the general cleanliness.
On the whole a big noisy site with lots of facilities on offer if you like that sort of thing. The indoor pool was cold and the outdoor one closed due to the time of year. Neither of the pools seem big enough to accomodate the amount of people they must have staying on this site in high season so I imagine it would get very crowded. The food was nothing special and the prices were average for this type of unimaginative stuff.
Suffice it to say we won't be visiting there again.

August 2004
This was our first time that we were able to get booked in, however I called first 2 times to be told fully booked! Then only Euro pitch.
We were quite excited as quite alot of people had talked about Rockley Park.
Price was to high, pool area was ok if you are or have kids, but no adult areas like sauna etc. Club are ok but to many arcades and pretty tacky really. Pitches were pretty small.
Shop had NO touring stuff so make sure you are stocked up. (Toilet stuff etc)
Shower and toilet blocks were clean and of high standard though.
We were quite disappointed and won't be going back.

May 2004 This park is set in a wonderful location with a 'heathland' common right next to it, offering pleasant walks and wonderful view points.
There is a small rural beach, at one end of the site, with a little cafe where you can sit and watch the many yachts and launches set to sea and sail, for a relaxing hour or two.
The camp itself is a very large one, it has all the usually facilities: Well stocked shop, bar's and food outlet's etc, several sports courts and a modern entertainment centre. There is a small indoors pool and an outside pool with a nice patio area.
The caravans are fully equipped and laid out very well in a mature shrub and tree's setting . We had a 'Bronze standard' which was 12 foot wide and a little older than the higher graded 'Silver' or 'Gold' caravans, but was fine. There are also budget caravans available.
We found the staff at Rockley park very helpful and friendly. security is very vigorously inforced with entertainment passes checked rigorously.
Nearby is Poole, with a good shopping centre and quaint old town and quay area. A hourly bus leaves from Rockley park into Poole.
We enjoyed our stay here and will certainly visit this park again in the future!

Easter 2004 WC Facilities good, washing-up sinks only two. Pitches VERY small (likened to a caravan car park) No play area for the children, only the road network around the pitches. Entertainment was ok, the kids like the early evening shows and the pool was nice. The resturant was ok although don't ask for anything to be changed from the printed menu (like no peas or change the beans for salad) because chef WILL NOT DO IT! WARNING - The main entertainment area is surrounded by arcades (three seperate areas), TAKE PLENTY OF CASH I felt that the touring pitches were an after thought put at the bottom of the hill for extra revenue, we had bad weather which didn't help because of the water logged pitches, generally if the weather is good and you can explore Dorset and use the beaches and outdoor pool you would have a nice stay but unfortunatly we did not.

August 2003 This was our first ever camping holiday. We & our 3 children - 7,5 & 1yrs stayed on a euro pitch for 3 nights. Read previous reviews before leaving & was apprehensive however for our first time I think we chose well.
The showers/toilets were clean. Entertainment good (The Krankies were on when we visited!) Whilst our children are small - which makes camping in a tent somewhat more difficult - we did feel they were safe.
Arcade, pools & shops good. Food available from takeaway bar & restaurant. (takeaway bar we found poor quality unfortunately) With my fussy eaters we found it easier to go off site for food. Anyone else visiting - we would strongly recommend The Red Lion public house. We found the food fab & catered for the whole family with a friendly atmosphere.
May visit again but now looking further afield.

21/06/2003 - 28/06/2003 This was our first trip to Rockley and generally we were impressed but there were a few points that should be made clear......
We booked and stayed in a silver olympic caravan which hadn't been cleaned properly, if at all?! and had a terrible smell in one bedroom. Four visits and complaints and we were eventually moved to a Gold caravan which was superb (but still hadnt been cleaned properly.
The food from the on camp outlets was grossly overpriced.
The swimming pools were very good, very warm and clean with good changing facilities.
The arcade was good and the on camp shops were well stocked and reasonably priced.
Evening entertainment in the showbar was good, bit samey at times but generally good fun.
Generally, the good points outweighed the bad ones and we are going back in October 2003 for a week.

Aug 2002 Booked for a fortnight but stayed for one night. The camping pitch that we booked was the smallest that we have had in 10 years of camping. Convieniently right next to the toilet block. Asked to be moved but the management said no other pitches were available. No room for the children to play ball games/cycle etc. A lot of noise all evening and late at night cars with youths speeding around. At 3.30 am the site security were busy throwing teenagers out of the toilet block, just for them to return again as soon as the security men left. Asked for our monety back and moved immediately - a week later no sign of our account being credited but we live in hope as it cost us £500 for the stay.
Never again!

JULY 2002 spent a week in one of the sites caravans, which was in very good order (spotless), aswell as the site, brochure says boasts excellent beach i would say otherwise, park facilities we didnt use much as we were out most of the time, however the 2 occasions we used the restaurants, ie breakfast and lunch, the food was of a very poor standard, and on one of these occasions it looked as if we were served by the kitchen porter, needless to say if we didnt cook it ourselves we went down to poole quay, and ate in some excellent restaurants, we found the kids entertainment ok in the evenings. the bar had me rushing of to the nearest pub for a pint that wasnt room temperature and flat. overall we were a little disapointed with rockley park but the children would certainly go again. we would go again but only to camp and only for a few days, as i think they do overcharge for a lot of things on the site.
