Beautiful campsite, just across the road from a small quiet beach.
Facilities are excellent, kept immaculately clean and the kitchen had a kettle, toaster and a great fridge/ freezer which was very handy.
There are washing machine/driers but we didn't use them.
The cafe on site is lovely. Lots of space, very nice and quiet.
Overall excellent, we'll be back.

Although the site looks a bit rough and ready at first sight, the Toilet and shower blocks were very good and the Kilbride Cafe was first class, good breakfasts for both of us. opens early for an on the go start.
Donald was a good host very cheery and the pitches pretty level, no ramps needed.

Only okay, site was a bit scruffy.
The view was good but would have liked some information on walks etc.
The cafe on site was very popular with the walkers and cyclists

Great site with very good facilities.
Shame the cafe wasn’t open due to COVID as all reports had been very positive.
Site is close to a beach and the causeway to Eriskay.

Glad we made the trip down to the tip of South Uist to stay on this site. We rang ahead and booked, fortunately, as it looked full overnight.
The site itself is very stony and looks a bit barren but the view across to Eriskay and Barra is terrific and there is a small beach and walks along the machair just across the road from the site.
The facilities are good with free showers and a campers' kitchen. Clean - but mop would be more use with a proper mop bucket! There is a cafe/restaurant on site but we didn't try it.
The walled garden and wool shack next door are worth a visit.

Location - good access from / to ferry on Eriskay (12 miles) - open site, good views south west over sound of Barra. Could be exposed in strong westerlies. Nice walks along coast line.
Facilities good and clean. Showers good power, hot, easy to adjust, and no extra charge. Good kitchen area.
Prebooked and pitch well marked on arrival. Proprietor very helpful lives on site, and all site well organised. Cafe on site in separate building. Walled garden of 'Hebridean Woolshed' / 'the Big Garden' next door.
Priced at £19 per night very good value include EHU

This turned out to be one of my favourite Hebridean sites. We booked by phone a few days in advance and arrived to find a pitch reserved with our name on it.
The site is adjacent to the beach and a cafe is part of the complex. The pitches were absolutely fine, although not manicured, more in keeping with the natural landscape. We had hook up but the Wi-fi hot spot is only at the cafe. O2 mobile signal was present as GPRS - much like the rest of the islands once away from Lewis.
The facility block is excellent and the disabled shower/WC is one of the best I’ve seen. Everything, including laundry machines and a kitchen, is there. There is a grated drain for motorhomes to discharge grey water.
The area is another of stunning beaches and Machair with plenty of walks. The Isle of Eriskay is just across the causeway.
I’d return to this site tomorrow given the chance.
