This is a great little campsite set in a beautiful location looking out to Eriskay and Barra and seconds away from a small sandy bay with lovely coastal walks. Only minor issue is that you have to cross the single track road to get to the beach. The campsite is a good base to explore South Uist and Eriskay from.
The amenities here are incredible - excellent toilets and showers and an even better kitchen facility with washing machine, dryer, toaster etc.
DJ is a great host and extremely friendly with good suggestions for local activities.
Two good pubs fairly close by to plan your walks around.

Excellent little site with fantastic views over Eriskay and Barra. The ferry for Barra on eriskay is approx. 5 mins away.
All flat pitches with hard standing for motorhomes and caravans. Excellent converted house for amenities including kitchen with washing machine & dryer, fridge and superb toilet and free shower facilities.
Electric hook ups. There are two pubs near by (we went to the one on Eriskay) and there is also a local shop on Eriskay.
Lovely beach, directly over the quiet road, 30 secs from the site.
Really good stop over if visiting Barra.

Superb little site. Very much appreciated the find a space and we will come and find you approach on arrival. As many others have commented the amenities block is spotless and very new. The kitchen for light campers was clearly appreciated and I approve of showers without timed buttons, CCC sites take note please!
My daughter and I did the coastal walk to the pub. The walk is really good with fantastic views. The pub was a bit tame with not much to offer.
Note for parents: There's nothing on the site specifically for children, but the sea and rock pools are just across the quiet main road.

Arrived very late on a Friday night, due to ferry delays. The owner was on hand to show us to our pitch and helped us manoeuvre the caravan into place. We found that the site was one of the best we have visited. The toilet block is very new and was spotless the whole time we were there. The grounds around the site were very well maintained, with good level pitches with plenty of space for caravan, car, and awning, although we didn't erect ours. Across the road from the site is a small beach of beautiful white sand and a rough path suitable for dog walking. The views from the site to Eriskay, Barra and other smaller islands are exceptional. We stayed in Kilbride for a full week and certainly considered not moving for a second week. I would highly recommend this site to everyone. Hopefully we will return there.

A very pleasant stay at Kilbride, very easy to find next to the road to Erisskay ferry. There is a lovely sandy bay Just across the quiet single track road with views across to both Erisskay and Barra. The walled garden next door offers home made jams, free range eggs and local lamb to keep you well nourished as well as local crafts. A small co-op on Erisskay about 2 miles away has good food stocks. There are two pubs close by both with good menu's and fine ales and right on the sea shore. The site is well cared for with both hard standing and grass pitches catering for all units with a large number of hookups. Toilet facilities are excellent and very new, there is a kitchen with all facilities for all to use as required. The site owner who lives nearby calls in the morning and evening to help with any queries and collect fees, He is very friendly and enjoys a good chat.
The whole area has an abundance of wildlife and fishing, we saw otters very close to the site in the sea, a huge variety of bird life in the hills and the machair where the flowers are amazing. There are a good number of way marked walks and the beaches are fantastic.
A short stay of 4 nights on route north was not really long enough to do this part of South Uist justice and we are certain to return to Kilbride.
WiFi would be very useful to assist in exploration of the island, the owner proposes to install this for next season.

An easy to locate site, set back slightly from the road which is quite quiet. There is a small beach just over the road along with a small headland to explore and walk round. A larger beach is about a mile or so away, an easy enough walk up the road. The site is next to the Big Garden, this was closed quite a lot and we didn’t manage to visit to see what was for sale.
Reserved pitches are marked with a board with your name on it and the owner collects payment in an evening. Pitches are very spacious, plenty of grass next to the hardstandings for awnings and chairs. Picnic benches are next to a lot of the pitches and the hardstanding pitches not in use were being topped up whilst we were there.
The amenity block is nice and clean, the kitchen area has a washer, dryer, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave for use.
We climbed Eisabhal – the hill behind the site, a nice walk with good views from the summit but there were loads of flies despite a slight breeze. Flies were sometimes present at the site, especially when it was damp, but there weren’t too many midges.
We experienced strong winds one day, there is not much protection due to the proximity to the coast, however a few pitches at the top end of the site seemed to have wooden barriers to help provide some shelter from the winds.
A nice site for a few nights stay whilst touring in the Outer Hebrides.

Good site. You can't miss the site for it's on the main road. Modern facilities, well kept, handy layout and social meeting point when we were there. Friendly owner.
We only stayed for one night and this site is handy coming from Barra. Lochboisdale is 'nearby'. Visit the 'pink' tearoom / shop / postoffice/ internetcafe / restaurant. When driving north you'll pass the heritage centre; good tearoom and an exhibition on crofting which is well worth a visit. The small dog who might welcome you there is Gaelic spoken.

Lovely location with nice views and just across the road from a small beach handy for morning dog walks. A nearby pub/hotel does decent food.
Nice modern facilities block with a modern washing machine and dryer - though the fact that the showers are stall-type (open at the top and bottom) means that the toilet areas can get a bit steamy.
Friendly owners.
Unfortunately, the site itself was in need of some TLC when we were there. The roadways and pitches were rough. The grass was long all over the site. Much of it obviously hadn't been mown this year! This rather spoiled what could be a very nice site.

Large flat pitches in big field beside very very quiet road with sea on other side and clearly visible.
Excellent very new, immaculately clean washrooms and kitchen - no extra payment to use showers which were best we found out of 4 sites on the islands.
Everything you could think of in kitchen including washing machine, tumble, dryer (£3, which is a fair price) and lots of information on local area.
Great to see owners taking such pride in their facilities.
Were only in the area a short time, so can't comment too much on local area but very close to Eriskay which is lovely. Also handy Co-op small supermarket a few miles down the road to Lochboisdale.

We had a lovely stay on this immaculate site, the weather was great so we were able to make full use of the spacious hard standing pitches -which included a picnic bench on your pitch. Our pitch was the last at the end and so we also benefited from a lovely view and very private area to sunbathe -remarkably few midges for end of May /beg June we were sitting out in chairs in shorts at 7 in evening -few more later at 9pm
The toilet / campers kitchen block is newly built and immaculate. Small kitchen with microwave and 2 sinks, very hot water for washing up, washing up liquid provided. Separate men and women facilities and a separate disabled facility all with free showers. There is also loads of information in folders and a notice board - in the kitchen a handy pair of binoculars for camper use, the wild life is stunning, we missed the school of pilot whales our neighbours saw, but we were serenaded by corn crake calls in the evenings
We did not shop for food here but the co op in Dalabrog is well stocked and a short drive -about 4 miles away And the Pollacher Inn doing very good food ( slightly pricey -starter £7-8 main £13 but good) is a lovely 20 walk by the coast or joyously flat 5 min cycle away.
Next door to the campsite is the hebridean woolshed -sells eggs and some local produce for nice foody gifts. Also sells hand spun wool -actually spun there and as a lasting reminder I bought undyed wool taken from the local sheep who grazed on the croft around our unit !
The crofter is friendly and helpful and welcomed us on site taking time to explain the facilities, there is also a small but beautiful beach 2 mins across the road, you could easily carry your chairs and table and picnic there. The sunsets in uist were some of the best we saw on our trip and the site is well located to catch them.
North and South Uist are lovely islands with friendly communities, fabulous beaches, lovely cycling and well stocked chain of co op shops throughout. We hope to go back many times and would look forward to staying at this site again would highly recommend
