A great small site.
The site itself could be prettier but the location is a knockout! Right on the bay looking over the Sound of Eriskay to the south and over the green hills of South Uist to the north.
We arrived fairly late, off the delayed Oban ferry, but we'd reserved a couple of days in advance so the owner was there to welcome us - he was very friendly.
The facilities block was great - fairly new and clean. The shower & toilet area were spacious - showers were free and the water, hot. The kitchen had a table & chairs, and an honesty box for the washer/dryer, which was nice. We didn't try the wifi but it seemed that people had to be very close to the cafe to get a signal.
The cafe is very convenient and the Big Garden sells eggs & preserves. The Co-op at Daliburgh is good for everything else.
The site is dog friendly - no provision for them on site but the beach & coastal area is convenient enough.
Probably not somewhere to spend a week but a good base for a night or two, for exploring Eriskay and the south of South Uist.

Stayed for one night. Very good facilities block and nice large pitches. Ours had two picnic tables.
The beach is just across the road and there is a hotel in walking distances (although we didn't try it). There is a little café on the site that is open from 08:30 to 16:30 and does a very good breakfast.
The site was a little untidy. There is some building work going on and the glass recycling bins were well over flowing. The wifi signal was poor.

We stayed here for a couple of nights during late September and we had a mix of a blustery sunny day and a blustery wet one. There are about 20 level hardstanding pitches of a good size and we'll spaced apart.
The showers, toilets and kitchen facilities are adequate if a little tired. There isn't a reception; if you've booked you'll find a board with your name on your pitch, if you haven't, just find an empty one. The owner, a kind informative guy, calls round for a chat and to collect the fees a couple of times a day.
The views from most pitches are out across the Barra Sound and are pretty stunning. There is a small beach just across the other side of the road which, when the tide is out, is perfect for running a dog or a leisurely walk.
The cafe which is adjacent to the site serves pleasant food, has WiFi and is open from 9 to 5.

7th campsite out of 11 on our tour of Skye and the Outer Hebrides. Another fantastic site, excellent amenities, don't think there was wifi, but the café next door did have. (The menu, food, service and view was great - also recommend you eat here).
No reception, but if you've booked (highly recommend) your pitch is reserved for you, the owners come round later to collect fees. We didn't use the washer or dryer here - the kitchen was busy with other site users.
There was an honesty box for the use of the washer and dryer. Pitches reasonably level, EHU, washing line, can't fault, would definitely stay here again. We even got to sit out and enjoy some sun. Close to the ferry to Barra. We didn't bring a dog, but it is dog friendly.

This is a lovely site, in a beautiful location and with some of the best washing/kitchen facilities I've ever seen. Walk across the road and there is the beach, with rock pools and views to be believed. Just down the road towards the ferry port (to reach Barra) there's another amazing beach.
The pitches are generous in size, so you don't feel cramped, and most have electric hookup. Everyone was very friendly. Just pitch up and pay the man when he comes around.
There's a cafe next door (but sadly no longer opening for breakfast, at least in May). And lovely showers, clean toilets and a kitchen with lots of facilities like fridge, toaster and microwave (really useful if you're in a tent).
Well worth a visit.

Another very friendly welcome and another fabulous little campsite. The area for tents was mostly flat and looks out over the iris beds and nesting boxes at the rear of the site. The camper vans and caravans between you and the sea did spoil the sea view a little but did help provide some much needed shelter when the winds picked up to gale force speeds.
There is a washing line outside but you need your own pegs. Inside the facilities are spotlessly clean and in addition to w. C. And showers (3 of each for the ladies) there is a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and table and chairs for use. There is plenty of hot water in the washing up sinks and showers and a washing machine and drier on an honesty box basis.
If you are self-catering then the produce from the Hebridean Woolshed next door (lamb, eggs, herbs) is superb, or if you don’t fancy cooking the Kilbride Café (9am-4pm Mon-Sat, Noon -4pm Sun) does good food and also has free WiFi and lovely views, subject to weather conditions, over to Barra.
The nearest shop is the community store on Eriskay and the walk at Loch Eynort (Park at N 57 13. 927 W 007 19. 544) is a fantastic place to spend either a half or a whole day. I saw a Sea Eagle there, others saw Seals and Otters.

Probably the best campsite in the Outer Hebrides. In a lovely position across the road from a stunning white sand beach, with views across to Barra. The pitches are large and level, well spaced out and staggered so they all enjoy the amazing views.
Very good motorhome service point. One of the best amenity buildings we have seen, with three toilets and three excellent showers in both the ladies and the gents, a very impressive kitchen complete with washer, dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. Plus table and chairs, what a view while washing up!
A very welcoming owner, a cafe on site, and The Big Garden next door for eggs, lamb, preserves and seasonal fruit & veg. A top site we would love to return to.

This is a really nice site, with excellent facilities. Showers are hot and forceful, and the fully equipped kitchen includes such things as washer & dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, mugs and binoculars!
All clean and tidy, shame some of the clients thought it was for others to do this. Views of the hills behind the site and towards Eriskay, Barra and other smaller islands is great.
A nice small beach is just the other side of the road and between is the café, great when you can't be bothered to boil your own kettle or get lunch. D. J. The owner is very nice and showed concern and gave advise prior to the 2 days of force 10's we had. Only 1 tent went down!
Food shopping just 4 miles away, and 10 mins to the Barra ferry. Great.

Went to this campsite due to the fantastic reviews on it and we were not disappointed!
Toilets and kitchen area were spotless
Café - very clean staff very pleasant and prices reasonable
Site owner DJ very friendly gave information on ferries and was on site regularly checking if everyone was ok.
Scenery was outstanding and the beach which was just over the road was beautiful could not believe the colour of the sea all you needed was palm trees and you would think you were on an exotic island!
Would definitely go back in an instant
Good luck for DJ who is trying to get permission to build a hostel on the site
