I booked the site in a hurry for two nights after reading some good reviews.

Drove onto the site did a circuit and drove out again.

Sadly we found it cramped with statics and vans too close together.

The site is run down from what it must have been once.

Liked that with young children we were near the play park and toilet facilities.

Great place to stay to visit surrounding area as we planned

Nice & quiet, very relaxing

Easy to book & nice owners

Camped here for two nights mid week, the site was very quiet and peaceful just the sounds of local wildlife.

The pitch was flat and well drained, it was reasonably close to the shower block and washing facilities.

Two shower / toilet blocks on the site, both were very clean and well maintained.

The location of the site is ideal for visiting Druridge Bay and the coastal path.

Wildlife and nature parks are close to the site.

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this site.

A lovely quiet site in a great location for exploring the Northumberland coast.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the touring pitches generously sized and well kept and the shower block on the touring field was brand new and spotless.

My only reservation would be that if the site had been busier the facilities on the touring field may have struggled as they are quite small.

However there are more facilities throughout the site which we didn’t need to use so can’t comment on.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We’d recommend the Widdrington Inn for food (5 mins away and dog friendly - it’s popular so best to book) and the Drift Cafe on the beach at Cresswell (10 mins and again dog friendly).

We enjoyed a visit to Amble too.

This family run campsite was perfect for us. It was in a nice central location for visiting Morpeth, Cresswell, Blyth etc and not too far to travel to surrounding Seahouses and Bambough to name but a few.

Greeted with a smile and so easy to check in. Information all ready for us and explained how to get round the site to our pitch. Welcoming board at our pitch with our name on is such a nice touch and made it more personal.

It’s such a lovely peaceful site which is just what we were looking for. The shower block is recently built and is perfect for your needs. Kept clean regularly too.

We will be staying at this site regularly as it is just what we are looking for.

Looking forward to seeing the friendly family again on our next visit.

Easy to find (though the post code took us to slightly down the road, it was obvious that the empty field wasn't the right place so depending which way you're going you might have to go slightly less far or slightly further).

The owner was friendly and helpful and I liked that you could have fires although I hadn't searched it and we didn't have one - if we'd have been more organised or staying for longer we may well have done.

Facilities were clean and well maintained.

Perfect distance to easily access Morpeth or the beach, though driving was best way to do either for us.

Back here for the 4th year in a row. Quite a few improvements noticed. New shower/Block. Very clean and lashings of hot water. People have commented in the past about lack of hand soap and toilet paper but this wasn't in evidence during our stay.

People will always "avail" themselves of such things and you can't expect the owners to be there ro check every 5 mins. Shortly before we arrived a "camper" deposited some hot BBQ ashes into one of the bins and set light to it. None of the bins were overflowing and there are notices directing you to others on site if they're full.

Very dog friendly, with cut walks on site. Dog washing facilities are welcome if your dogs (we have 2) have enjoyed the sea and you need to rinse the salt away.

I've mentioned this before that, the reasonable cost per night (currently £23 Inc hookup) reflects the absence of things you might expect to see. There's no pool or shop. What there is is, to us, everything we want. A great, peaceful base for exploring the area. The Widdrington Arms a few miles away has a great reputation for food, and with new owners we'll find out soon if it's standards have been maintained. Booking is highly advised except Sundays when its first come, first served.

Duridge bay has amazing sandy beaches and not crowded.

The Drift Cafe nr Cresswell does great food, in Cresswell itself is an amazing ice cream parlour with home made ice cream. Many flavours, £1. 25 a scoop. Great value.

We WILL be back.
