We are totally new to caravanning, but knew we wanted a seasonal pitch and a friendly adult only site that was open all year round. We looked at a few, but we were really impressed with Wolds View Touring Park at Caistor, in the Lincolnshire Wolds and near to Market Rasen and Brigg.
The site managers Jenny and Kevin, and Walt the owner are all so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble - we've had a pitch here for 4 months now and they've always been happy to chat and pass the time of day, or help out with advice for us caravanning newbies. They also seem to have caravanners who come back time after time, which we think is a good sign and who are equally nice and friendly.
The facilities and site are both excellent and spotless and the site has everything we need for a short or long visit in winter or summer, including heated shower block, laundry, coffee shop (fantastic breakfasts and home made cakes) and dog walk area, as well as the usual electric hook up, waste points, water points etc. They also have hardstanding and grass pitches that feel quite spacious and a storage compound.
We think the wolds are beautiful with dog walks and the Viking Way nearby. Picturesque Caistor is only a 20 minute walk where there are shops, a post office and a couple of pubs and takeaways. Cleethorpes is a regular haunt for us, just 25 mins by car and we're on the beach!
We love coming to Wolds View Touring Park, it always makes for a restful and relaxing break among the friendliest of people.

We couldn’t possibly have hoped to find a better site to start our touring caravan adventure.
The site itself is so peaceful and is beautifully maintained with good sized grassed and hard standing pitches all with ehu.
Set in the stunning scenery of the Lincolnshire Wolds it has views all round. The facilities include spotlessly clean showers, toilets, laundry and washing up area.
The reception has a small shop and a very inviting cafe! But the best thing about Wolds View is the owners & staff who are very helpful and friendly.
Absolutely recommend this site to anybody without hesitation.

WE visited this site mid-week in September. An excellent site, well trimmed grass, a choice of hard or grass pitches.
The WC facilities include free showers, complete with piped music and are second to none.
We found the owner & staff friendly & helpful.
EHU is provide via a "card" system [you buy a card for £10, and at the end of your stay you are refunded the amount of units of electricity you haven't used]. We used £3's worth over three nights.
Whilst there we visited Cleethorpes [try the Fish & Chips in "Papas" on the pier]. We also visited Louth, Market Rasen & nearby Caistor. We were pleasantly surprised by Cleethorpes, Louth is a nice little market town, Caistor is a pleasant little village although we found Market Rasen somewhat run down & disappointing. [but each to their own I guess, maybe we visited on a bad day].
An apple tree [growing on the site] gave me an idea for a BBQ [am I allowed to put recipes on here?]
Take two large pork chops, and four apples, peel & slice the apples and wrap both together, in tinfoil, along with butter & sugar. Then cook over the coals. Remove the tinfoil for the last few minutes to brown the pork chops and then put the "apple sauce" on top. Serve with jacket roast potatoes [done on the BBQ] and carrots [cook the carrots in tinfoil, cut into "chips" and wrapped up with butter]. I must say here too, that I took the apples with the site owners permission, and he made a point of asking me if we had enjoyed them.
Anyway, we will definitely be returning to this site. To sum up, its one of the best we've ever stayed on.

This site is only 45 minutes from our home but we hadn't been. So we booked the bank holiday weekend, WOW!
We have been to loads of sites both UK & abroad & must say this is one of if not the best we have stayed on. The area is lovely. The lay out is lovely.
The owner is lovely. (he works so hard) The showers, toilets & washing up area are lovely & clean.
The coffee shop is lovely! Not a negative at all. & was only £25pn over the bank holiday weekend!
We will definitely be back.

First time at this camp\caravan site.
Its the most clean site we have ever stayed at.
The toilets, showers, kitchen areas were spotless.
The site itself is also very very tidy and well kept.
The owners are fantastic people and will do any thing to help during your stay.
We will be back to this site as soon as possible to see them again.
Thanks Again For A Wonderful Camp Site and an unforgettable stay. Kevin, Pauline, John, Tracy

We have stayed at Wolds a few times over the last couple of months and have our caravan stored there.
The site is very clean and the facilities are superb. We are new to caravanning and have found Walter to be very helpful and is always on hand to assist with any queries that we have, which is greatly appreciated.
The ladies in the cafe are always very welcoming and polite.

Fantastic location and site. Staff and owners could not be more helpful and friendly. The site is very well maintained and of a high standard of cleanliness.
We will definitely be staying again. Local town 15mins walk away has some good food facilities and a co-op for those things you forgot.

Enjoyed a 3 day stay at this gorgeous site, Adults only, which is perfect for us with our labrador. The site is immaculate and very well maintained. On arrival, we were allocated to our pitch by a lovely young lady named Frankie, who was most helpful and very attentive. Our grass pitch was very spacious! Loads of room for our van, canopy and car.
The shower/toilet and pot washing facilities are all so spotlessly clean and well kept. Had our Saturday breakfast in the tea room, which is a gorgeous and welcoming little place, perfectly cooked by the lovely lady Christina, enjoyed it and it set us both up for most of the day.
Will most definitely be returning to this beautiful little gem of a site, and a massive Thank you to the two lovely ladies for being the perfect hosts and for the wonderful welcome we received from them, thank you once again and see you very soon ! Xxx
