Currently store our caravan with Phil and Jane - the best thing we ever did. The site is on the edge of Caistor but within walking distance of the local amenities - easier to walk back to the site as it is downhill.
We spent New Year here and like the previous feedback we can't thank Phil, Jane and family enough for such a brilliant evening. Jane never stopped from the minute we arrived on New Years Eve and she was still running around when we left on Saturday morning. The food was delicious and plentiful - if anyone went home hungry then they only had themselves to blame. Already booked for next new year!
Wolds View is a site that deserves higher than 10 out of 10 for the dedication that Phil and Jane show to ensure their guests enjoy their stay, for the high standards they maintain around the site and simply because they are the friendliest site owners we have come across in the last 9 years of caravanning. The site is still young and deserves to go from strength to strength and succeed in every way.
The site itself is quiet, well laid out and overlooks fields and hills - hard to believe you're only at Caistor. Nothing is too much trouble for Phil and Jane - always there to have a chat or lend a hand. The site is kept immaculate with the showers being the warmest I've ever been in (3 showers in the ladies). The coffee shop is open at weekends from Easter until somewhere around Sept/Oct (I think) and they do a lovely cooked breakfast and in the afternoon you can enjoy scrumptious cakes and scones. Free WiFi If in or around the coffee shop.
Not really for young children as there is no play area and no children policy for Bank holidays. However ther is a park at Caistor should anyone with children stay outside of Bank Hols.
Within Caistor itself you can find a number of takeaways which includes 2 chippies, Chinese, pizza/kebab and an Indian.
Restaurant wise there is The Settlement, The White Hart which is quite small but does lovely food or if you want a trip out try the Blacksmith Arms at Rothwell, the Salutation Inn at Nettleton and the Cross Keys at Grasby. Can recommend as this is my old stomping ground.
For essential food shopping there is the Co-op and down the hill from the town centre (plough hill) you will find a spa shop. There's Sandhams wine merchant in South street for topping up your wine and spirit reserves etc and also in that street a small butchers. The papershop is also in the town centre along with Nat West Bank, chemist and the post office.
All in all you can get practically everything you need in Caistor without going too far.

2nd time on the site foe New Years eve. We actually store our van here now due to convenience of site locality and facilities. Phil and Jane go the extra mile to help you when they can. They had arranged s small gathering for New Years eve. We were xps ting a small buffet and obviously take you own booze. It turned out a 3 course meal which was excellent and at no charge but suggested donation towards Marie curie charity. Excellent idea in all just under £500 pounds was donated. The whole of the evening was well organised with fire works also at midnight. The facilities on the site are immaculate and a lot of pride is shown in all they do. This is the first year in business and no doubt will go from strength to strength. Thanks for a great weekend

We would like to add our voices to the previous reviewers of this site who have rated it 10/10.
We were welcomed on arrival by Phil who came out of Reception to greet us before booking us in, issuing us with our electricity card and showing us around the facilities. We were then given our choice of pitch from those available.
One of the innovative features of the site is the charging for electric hook-up on a 'pay as you use' basis, rather than the more usual £2. 00 or £3. 00 per night - and it really did highlight just how much other sites make out of these charges. In the 9 days we were there, we used a grand total of 53p's worth of electricity, despite running a fridge and charging various items throughout the week. It would be great if this caught on, but we suspect other site owners will be extremely reluctant to follow suit. This method of charging for electric, coupled with the keenly priced pitch fees means that Wolds View Touring Park offers real value for money.
The facilities themselves are fantastic. The toilets and showers were warm and kept spotless, as was the indoor dishwashing area. The washing machine and tumble dryer were brilliant and again the pricing for the use of the machines is very fair at £2. 50 per wash and £1. 00 for 20 minutes drying time (we have paid £4. 50 for a very mediocre wash at some sites). There was always plenty of hot water and there are lots of nice touches like air fresher and tissues in the toilets and washing up liquid and J cloths by the washing-up sinks. This is indicative of the facilities block as a whole though. Jane (we're assuming it is Jane!) has worked hard to make the block homely and welcoming. This attention has been carried onto the site itself too though, with well placed bins, water points and hook-up stations. There is also a motorhome service point which is positioned half way down the site.
The on-site cafe (only open at weekends during the winter months) is well worth a visit. It offers tasty, freshly prepared/cooked food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we would definitely recommend it!
The site is a 1 mile uphill walk from Caistor. We ate at The Settlement one evening and it was very good. There is also a Co-op for anything you need, although the on-site shop carries lots of essentials including locally made ice cream! For walkers there are plenty of routes out from the site, including the Viking Way.
Jane and Phil go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Through no fault of their own and entirely beyond their control, the WiFi on the site was down during our stay. While we usually don't worry about whether we can get onto the Internet or not, we needed to have access for a specific reason on a particular day and were worried about how we would get around this. Phil immediately sorted the problem without any fuss, really going the extra mile in the process.
All in all, we cannot rate Wolds View Touring Park highly enough and would give it an 11 out of 10 if we could!

Believe all the previous reviews, definitely the best site we have ever stayed on. Phil & Jane are perfect hosts, nothing is to much trouble to make the stay perfect. If it were possible to rate 10 + then this site would deserve it.
The site is in a lovely location in the Wolds within walking distance on a footpath of the pretty town of Caistor, with a pub, selection of tea shops and a local super market.
The site is level, with plenty of bookable hardstandings as well as grass pitches, hook up is available to all. The facilities are first rate, with luxury, shower & toilet block, a super coffee shop, with excellent breakfasts & afternoon tea served at the weekends.
We found Wolds View was great value both the pitch rate and electricity by card to which a refund is given, we used a lot less than a pound per day.
Would recommend this site to all, will definitely be back.
Thank you

We have stayed on this superb little site a few times since it opened last year as it is very close to where we live. Jane and Phil have continued to be friendly and helpful and work very hard to ensure that all visitors enjoy their stay. The toilet and shower block are 5*, together with laundry and washing up facilities. There is a lovely cafe on site where you can sample the best full English breakfast/bacon baps in the area. The standard of maintenance, care and attention at this site is first class. Electric is paid for using a card, which tallys up how much you have used during your stay, which I find is better value than paying per night in addition to the pitch price. The position of this site is lovely, with the Lincolnshire Wolds a walk away - and there are some beautiful walks in the area. Caistor is 5 minutes away in the car, and is a lovely village where you can buy provisions, or enjoy a takeaway, or a meal in one of the restaurants. We will continue to enjoy this gem of a site.

We picked this campsite due to previous feedback and we were not disappointed. We are 2 +2 kids and were looking for a last minute weekend on a site that had good facilities, allowing us to travel light on this occasion. The owners, Phil and Jane run an excellent site, exceptionally clean toilets and shower block, fantastic café serving cooked breakfasts (weekends 9-11 - chef does amazing full English, and afternoons: hot drinks and cakes). They also have a shop stocking essential camping equipment, food, toiletries, and even newspapers. The site was new in 2013 and is maintained to a very high standard. The owners are warm, welcoming, and could not do enough to make sure our short stay was a pleasant one. The pitches for tourers are well positioned with good space between neighbours and there are plenty of tent pitches with electric hook ups and ample water/sanitation stations around the site. We pitched our tent at the back of the site so the kids could play with space. The site is located just 2 minutes drive out of Caistor (easily walkable from the site, ) which is a quaint market town with all essentials and apparently many of takeaways deliver to the site. We visited Louth (35 mins drive) and Cleethorpes (30 mins drive). All in all a faultless experience and we would love a return visit at some stage. Highly recommend Wolds View Touring Park.

This was our first night away in our folding camper, and we are complete novices at camping. The proprietors could not have been more helpful.
They sited us next to a similar camper and the owner came down and turned on the electrics for us, gave us help on how to connect to wifi and the owner pointed out where toilets, restaurants, etc were all located.
The site was a little less than half full, was incredibly peaceful and everyone we met seemed really nice.
The shower block and toilets are cleaner than in most 4 and 5 star hotels we have stayed at.
They must clean them constantly. I don't know how this compares to other sites, but they were a pleasure to use. There were even stools, so our 4 year old could clamber up and wash his hands which he loved.
On the Sunday morning we retreated from the rain into the restaurant for a full English breakfast and we were in for a treat. Coffee was excellent (and I am fussy). Local produce made a wonderful feast yet at excellent value.
We will definitely visit again.

I write on behalf of the twenty-one people and two dogs who stayed here last weekend. Without exception, they all had a wonderful time. This was a lovely, compact, friendly, intimate site. The hosts could not do more to make all guests feel welcome and comfortable. The communal facilities were kept immaculately clean throughout. Cleaning equipment was placed within the ablution block and so guests were able (and implicitly encouraged) to leave the place in a good state - as they would have found it. It was nice to be able to listen to the radio whilst getting washed, too! The tea shop was a very useful asset; I'm told the full English was very agreeable! Our fellow guests were also chatty and friendly. All in all, it made for a great weekend. Thank you!
And Caistor is a lovely little market town - a real gem.

What a superb site! We are a family consisting of 6 adults and 4 children (age range 1 to 6yrs) and have only been camping for a year. The site owners were extremely welcoming and helpful which made the start of our long weekend a pleasant experience. The site is immaculately clean and well thought out with what I can only describe as pristine well stocked shower and toilet facilities. The only item missing from the shower facility is a baby changing table which isn't the end of the world. There are plenty of take-always in the town and a small local supermarket nearby. The site is well lit at night and there are traffic barriers giving additional security. Finally, the washing machine and tumble dryer located in the washing-up area were a godsend as we encountered a couple of accidents. Thank you for a brilliant weekend Wolds View.
