Enjoyed our stay at Country Meadow although it was only for one night.
The location was good. Spar shop just outside.
We only stayed for one night and wanted to get off early in the morning so didn't use the shower. ( first thing we did at our next stop)
Really enjoyed Skegness.
We didn't experience the bad things that other people have written about.
Hope to return one day if we are in the area.

Country meadows was are first place to stay when we visted ingoldmells / skegness, it was a large but quiet site with plenty of water points and toilets.
Staff were very helpful and easy to book in, the site fees were more than reasonable at £19 pn with electric and in the summer holidays.
A 2 min walk takes you to the local arcade/shops/pub and 10 mins walk into fantasy island, lovely beeches 2 mins from site-we had one of the best times ever at this area and will be returning soon and also to country meadows.

The first time that we have visited the site and to be honest we were impressed. Although it is probably not the cheapest I do not mind paying for the right site. We were situated right next to the children's play area which in one hand was extremely handy with us having children ourselves but it did get a bit of a joke when there were people on there at 11pm, not the fault of the site directly but this will be a consideration when booking again. The number of waste and water points on the site was in my opinion exceptional.
The staff on site I found to be very friendly and helpful. The showers are chargeable at 0. 30p but for 5 minutes I don't see this as unreasonable. My only criticism if it is one would be no ball games on site, I understand the ruling due to damage to cars/vans etc but with 2 boys they were just wanting to play football and cricket etc. There is a shop directly outside the site entrance and a chip shop within a few minutes walk. The walk to fantasy island took us around 10-15 mins but that is with children. The beach is less than 10 mins walk away. In essence we will I am sure will be returning.

Just returned from five day stay, staff pleasant, pitch and site clean and tidy. Playground not really any good for our three year old but ten year old liked it. I realise it is peak time but the Toilet block was disgusting, only cleaned once a day, they need to be cleaned several times a day as the personal hygiene of some of the clientèle leaves a lot to be desired. My husband commented that there were kids running in and out of the men's toilets for some unknown reason. The toilets need a really good clean and sterilising, the floors weren't cleaned once all the time we were there and there is a general grubbiness, I can't imagine the state of the old toilets if these re anything to go by, it really does let the place down and we won't be returning because of this, and this has affected our overall rating of the place

We will not be using this site again.
Ingoldmells is great - and this site is certainly in a great location. There is a Spar across the road, shops, fish and chips, slotties, entertainment and the beach 10 minutes walk away.
I will admit that I booked this site on the Thursday before the weekend. They could not fit us in on the Friday - but could do the Saturday night - however only one pitch available. - Cost £24 plus the £10 refundable deposits. When the booking confirmation came through, it was confusing - and was charging me for electric - (we were in a tent and did not have electric cables to hook up). I emailed back querying it, and spoke to them when I got to reception and was given an answer that I frankly considered BS. I don't mind being charge for caravan pitch, but surely electric is something you should only be charged for if you use it. - Hey ho. We'll let that one go I thought.
The pitch we were shown to was just big enough for our tent - we set it up the wrong way so we did not block the Fire Point - and although it was accepted as ok just this once - we were told off for not setting up in the direction the arrow told us we should - (it would not have fitted another way around) We did not take a big tent for this trip - it was a Quechua Base seconds 4. 2 which is 5. 3m x 2. 1m. Hey ho - we are only here for a night.
The men's loos were great apparently - the women's, whilst the facilities were new - they were not being looked after by the guests or the cleaners. When sat on the loo you could see poo wiped on the side of some of the toilet roll dispensers, the sanitary bins were over flowing, there was not always paper - in any of the cubicles - and blood on the sinks and tiles on Sunday morning early - which hadn't been cleaned properly despite the toilet paper having been restocked later on.
I hate to gripe - perhaps my standards are too high - but despite it's fab location, I'd give this one a miss.

Once again we visited country meadows and received a warm friendly greeting. As usual the staff were helpful and caring. The renovation of the toilet block is a very welcome addition. Looking forward to visiting this site for many years to come. The site is clean and well situated both for the beach and for various other locations like fantasy island, skegness, mablethorpe. All in all a first class site.

First time on this site. Staff are so helpful when needed. Site is clean and tidy. Grass was short, no bare patches. A good dog walk at the side of site. No ball games on site, but only a few campers on site, may be diff in school holidays. No noise at night from others when they came in from drinking and traffic noise was nothing from anchor lane. Only one bad thing, a couple of times the showers were cold when used, and not a lot of room in the showers to turn round and to put your clothes and shower bag up, could do with a seat inside the unit. No mirror or sink in the shower room, so you got to walk outside the shower room then into the toilet area to use the mirror or sink. There is a door between the two areas, it was locked and said please use the outside door. Will be using this site again later this year after the school holiday. A good fishing lake and a play area on the site.

we were looking for a somewhere to take the kids on their 1st holiday in our touring caravan.
We booked for 4 nights over the bank holiday weekend and we were very pleased, the staff were excellent, the site was clean and everyone was friendly and polite no late night drunkenness either that you would expect from skegness, the toilet and shower blocks was also very well kept, there is a park on site that the children really enjoyed too a shop on the site opposite the entrance that is always well stocked with necessities.
This site will be recommended and we shall be returning again.

Been going to Country Meadows for about 3 yrs now and to be honest we like it. Its location is good, you are not far from the beech, shops, markets and fantasy island yet a bus service can take you their or skeggy.
The site is all grass and pretty level and their is a play area for kids, a ten pound deposit is required for the barrier on entry to the site refundable on departure, staff will direct you to your pitch and make sure you know exactly where you are going.
We visited this site for the first time in the six weeks holidays and it has been an eye opener and not all the sites fault
The toilet block seems to get wrecked more every day with toilet seats being ripped off and walls defaced and generally dirty. The toilet block is old and dated and talking to a seasonal member it will be seriously renovated at the end of this season hopefully and pass keys (maybe to gain entry), so perhaps its the class of customer in this period!
The beach was also full of litter but if you go a drive up the road to Chapel St Leonards or Mablethorpe the beach is superb, well maintained and tidy.
For all your shopping needs Morrisons or Tesco is in Skegg or their is a Spar shop opposite the site but you pay more for the convenience
All in all though the site staff are brilliant yet one seems to blow hot and cold. Also if you are putting an awning up please make sure it is well strapped down as the wind can blow very hard and from experience. Its not nice taking an awning down in the middle of the night!
So to sum it up yes I will return but not in the 6wk period as other times we have really enjoyed when off peak.

On arrival to this site there is space to pull up on the left just before the barrier in order to check in. The lad on reception was friendly enough and quickly had us booked in and gave us a barrier card (£10 refundable).
We were shown our pitch on a map and were asked to drive over there. It wasn't very far and a steward was waiting on the pitch for us. It was nice and simple as they fill up the site in an order which allows you to drive onto the majority of pitches so no manoeuvring or motor movers required. Simple and hassle free check in and set up.
The pitches them selves are fairly level and there is a individual hookup for each pitch. Water, chemical disposal, Rubbish bins are plentiful. Toilet/shower block is a bit dated but they are clean and do the job. Plenty of toilets.
No Ball games was disappointing but I can understand why as its frustrating when people are repeatedly kicking a ball at your caravan.
Paid £16 PN with hookup no awning which I found reasonable. There is no pub / shop on this site but there are plenty of both local.
We found this site to be spot on and have no complaints however customer service in ingoldmells leaves a lot to be desired. Local pubs, cafe, chippy all provide a miserable experience and we did not have a nice meal out in 3 days. Everywhere just seems to chuck food together. We would cook more ourselves when re visit this site again.
