The site it self was very flat, great for tents etc. Toilets were very dated and most of the time there was no toilet paper. 3 showers where you have to put the coin in a hole in the wall, and the heat could not be adjusted. You have to pay for the washing up water, washing machine and dryer facilities. The only real gripe I have was the fact the Elsan disposal point was next to the drinking water tap, and people were emptying there waste water in the drinking water drain. Plus the fact you had to lift the waste water container nearly 2ft up over the wall, would have thought they could put the drain nearer the ground was a little off putting getting water while someone was emptying the toilet.

Me and my partner stayed at Country Meadows for a 3 night stay, we were greeted by the owner who was polite and friendly, on a negative note, he did seem very unorganised and rushed which meant he just directed us to our pitch via a map and said to return later to book in as his assistant wasn't there at that time.
Arrived at our pitch, according to the website, pitches were well spaced, which, yeah I suppose you could say. I suppose its just down to personal preference, personally I would have preferred a little more space. Also it seemed rather strange how everybody was put so close together when half the park was empty?
The site was clean and tidy, we was located near the fishing lake which we didn't use but looked lovely!
Toilet block was clean, does need updating which could put people off but it served its purpose.
Showers were minimal, there was only 3, and it was 30p per shower(tokens purchased from the office) or per 8-10mins burst of water, they were nice and powerful, but you are unable to change the temperature or the way the head points.
Surrounding area - outside the entrance of the site was a bus-stop which comes in handy for non-drivers, the number 3 bus takes you into skegness itself (£1.70 for a single way adult ticket),and comes every 10-15mins or so, so very frequent.
About a 2 min walk away is a Londis shop on the campsite next door, it serves a purpose but can work out quite expensive, We found that the shop further down, about 5-10mins walk was a lot better for money and also had a fresh bread / cake counter, a counter which did hot food and a meat counter.
Amusements, shops and the beach were down the same road, about a 15 min walk from the campsite, there are numerous amusement arcades, shops and a few pubs and of course the beach.
The beach being very clean and tidy.
So overall we actually had a fantastic time, our only real downside was that as we were getting picked up from the site on our last day and we couldn't do so until about 9:30pm, we had to pay for a extra night, the full price!
But apart from that we would recommend this campsite to others and we would probably re-visit in the future.

Hi just got back from country meadows. The staff were very friendly, the site it self was very tidy. The toilets were clean. There is no shop on site but the camp site next door has a Londis shop where you can get every thing. 5 mins walk from local chipshops and pubs, restaurants. Highly recommend this camp site and will def be going again in the future

We took our trailer tent to this site for bank holiday. Lovely site, staff friendly. Has keycard operated barrier. Good size pitch and water waste facilities
Only gripe are toilets not very clean, lack of toilet paper, floors dirty. If this was rectified would be a 5 star site
I will be using again. Close to shops and beach. Found a really good cafe called family cafe, excellent food and value for money

Just returned from a full week on this site and cannot understand the previous negative reviews. We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our pitch and despite it being an extremely busy period they were very helpful.
The toilets were spotless and cleaned at least twice a day, there was toilet paper in the cubicles and at least 12 toilets per block. Hot water to wash your hands and a hand-dryer. The showers (.30p token) were hot and powerful and one token was enough for even me - I take ages, as I have very long hair.
The only negative is that you only have one hook on the back of the shower cubicle door, so once you've hung your wash-bag up, there isn't anywhere for your clean clothes, which I had to throw over the top of the door, as the whole of the floor area gets wet from the shower spray.
Its about a 10min walk to three bars and a few shops and 25 mins to Fantasy Island, but you can catch a bus for.60p to Fantasy Island or £1.20 into Skegness.
We loved this site and will definitely return, for £16.00 with hook-up during Whit-Week, we think we've found a real little gem!

Lovely warm welcome, were shown to our pitch by staff, pitches were well spaced apart, facilities were basic, but didn't use them as we have our own shower etc, we were right next to dog walking area which was excellent as we took our dogs with us, was a bit upset that some dogs mess wasn't cleaned up by there owners!
Beach was only 5 mins walk, shop was on next site 2 mins walk, arcades and pubs were all 5 mins away too, which was good as not to close for to be disturbed but yet close enough that the older kids can go alone as no road to cross, fantasy island and market are aprox 10mins walk,
All in all lovely site and will definitely be going back next yr,

We went here for a weekend. At first the site seemed very nice. Friendly staff on arrival and a well looked after site. The grass had been mowed and the site generally looked good. The pitches were quite big a spacious.
The toilet blocks however, were another matter. Every toilet had a broken or loose seat (those that had seats), the showers (30p for a token) were barely more than a dribble, although they were warm and there was nowhere to hang your clothes while showering so your shoes etc. Got wet.
The site is well placed, being just far enough away from the noise of the bars and shops but not too far.

It's not that bad a site. Yes the showers are a bit small and compact but overall the rest of the site was good. It was level , quiet after 10ish, staff were friendly and helpful. Only a short walk to shops etc. There were no kids running amok as in previous reviews and I felt my kids were safe as well. We were lucky to have good weather and I suppose that makes things easier for a lot of people. I would go back again

First visit to this site and I can agree with some of the previous reviews. The toilet blocks are out dated and not kept all that clean. Also you have to pay 30p per shower although the showers are very warm and powerful there is not really any were to keep your fresh clothes dry whilst showering unless you want to dress in shared area.
The site itself is in a very good area short walk to shops and pubs there is also a nice play area for children. May visit again but if showers blocks were upgraded would be more chance.

We booked in this site as we couldn't get into our usual one. Although the site was packed there was still plenty of room. We found that the electric hookup only offered 10 amps so we tripped our supply out during a cold snap. There was a 16amp hookup but I didn't see any in the area we were in.
The play area was a bit basic & older youths tended to take over and make quite a bit of noise, we were diretly opposite the park though, the site generally was well kept, although the showers were sometimes a bit grubby. The showers cost 30p bug gave a decent length of time, the o/h swore by the tumble drier she said it was brilliant!
The owners could be a bit grumpy but it was a very busy weekend.
Would we go again. Yes it was not a bad site at all
