We have just returned from a 4 night stay. On arrival we were shown to our pitch quickly, Nice pitches, although quite busy we didn't feel cramped even though the touring/camping area is quite small,

Both pools are nice and fairly warm, close to the beach and shop on site not over priced. Great show bar and plenty of kids entertainment.

On the down side, when we arrived bins were over flowing and there was rubbish blowing around the site.

The shower block was disgusting, showers by the evening were filthy and water logged, around the sinks were dirty, with rusty chains with no plugs on some, the grout and sealant around the showers were mouldy. Broken locks to the showers, and grime around the bottom of the showers that obviously been there for along time

I got a cracking deal for this site through groupon. Paid £25 for 5 nights and then an additional £15 for EHU.

Initially I was a bit worried as over the phone they told be pitches ere 20ftx20ft. My van is 25ft and I tried explaining 20ft is very small for a tourer. They then said if I couldn't fit I could use the non EHU field which is very large. So just in case I bought a cheap Aldi generator to top up the battery in case of no EHU.

Got to site bang on 12pm checkin time. There were a few tourers ahead of me but the warden quickly guided us to the pitches. He showed us the pitches and I then asked if anyone was going to be put in front of us. No was the answer and our pitch was easily 60ft x 40ft. Massive!

16A EHU, loads of fresh water points, plenty of bins and nice well maintained grass pitches. Shower block and elsan was a little bit of a walk but not too made. Was dated but clean and bright enough with lots of room and hot water.

Bar and evening entertainment ok. Not great but not bad either. Kept my kids happy for an hour or two but wasn't the type of thing we'd rush out to every evening. Think we did 3 out of 5 evenings. Bar prices were good. £10. 50 got 1 x stella, 1 x wine, 2 x soft drinks, 2 x crisps and 2 x choc bars as part of a deal.

Good location for the beach and shout road trip to Lowestoft.

Overall a pretty good site and likely to return if I can get another groupon deal!

This was our first ever camping trip so with 1 child, 1 baby and a dog we decided to stay local to home. The people at reception were polite and quick and directed us to a warden, he proceeded to point us in the direction of the field and left us to it. The toilet/shower block had plenty of hot water but became messy after the morning rush. The on site shop had plenty of variety and was well equipped for campers ( gas, air beds, tent pegs). It was also reasonably priced. Our main problem was with a group of fellow campers who amongst other things were playing guitar at 3am, swearing, heavy drinking, shouting. The lack of camping site rules seems to have allowed them to do what they want. They were warned after a complaint but this was not followed up on so it continued the following night. We felt the staff on site did not know how to deal with the problem. We still enjoyed our first time camping but would not return to this site again.

An ok site if you can get a deal!

We got this site for £36 for 2 nights. We didn't pay for entertainment passes as we had only planned to use it as a base but when we checked in they gave us the passes anyway so that was a bonus. As far as being a base the location is good, right on the beach, and only a short drive to Lowestoft.

We went before the school holidays started on a weekend and considering this it was extremely busy. There are 3 fields with EHU and one without. Luckily we didn't require EHU as on arrival the 3 EHU fields were absolutely crammed. As you have to drive through these fields to get to non-ehu there is quite a lot of through traffic and not much space so no ideal if you're hoping for space for children to play.

The non- EHU field, although furthest away had a little pathway through bushes so it was actually closer to the shower block etc than 2 of the EHU fields. We arrived around 4pm on the Friday so were the first tent on the field but by Saturday morning it was also crammed to the point people were struggling to park their cars, the management clearly had no concern for the 6m rule and were just trying to cram in as many tents as possible.

The showers/toilets were among the statics so quite a walk and were absolutely disgusting, it was rare to be able to find a clean toilet to use. Same to be said for the washing up area, with just 3 sinks for 4 fields (about 200 tents) there was often a queue and was also rather grubby.

The swimming pool was clean and warm albeit basic with communal changing but due to the depth of the indoor pool wasn't really suitable for just-able-swimmers so we had to spend all our time in the outdoor pool.

The only real good-point was the evening entertainment which was brill for kids but started extremely late for adults.

I don't think we will revisit.

This was our first visit to Kessingland Beach Park, and we were very impressed. There was a warm welcome at reception, and we were shown to our pitch ( in the pouring rain!) by a very helpful man on a golf buggy!

The campsite was fairly full, but not too overcrowded.

The ground was level, and didn't seem to become too waterlogged with all the rain.

We pitched backing onto a small river, where there were plenty of ducks & geese wandering around to keep our labrador amused!

The toilet & shower facilities were very clean, warm & dry. There were 3 showers in the ladies, all with free hot water - these were actually the warmest showers I've ever had in 40 years of camping!

The dish washing facilities were undercover and clean, plenty of room to put everything.

We didn't use the swimming pool, clubhouse or bar, as we were visiting family in the village, so can not comment on these facilities.

We had a nice dog walk along the beach, which is accessed by walking past reception, to the top of the car park and down the steps. The beach is pebbly, but also has some sand & grass.

Would highly recommend this site - we WILL be back!

We have stayed at this site a few times and although the facilities are tired and dated this is our favourite 'Park Resort' so far.

Receptionist was polite on arrival and warden let us pick our own pitch with fair warnings of what pitches to avoid due to getting waterlogged.

The washing up facilities are outside but sheltered, toilets & showers very dated with associated grime but kept relatively clean considering.

The pool has communal changing rooms, 3 showers and one toilet, again pool & facilities are adequate but look tired and dated.

Evening entertainment is aimed at children until around 9pm and still not too adult after.

Considering it was the school holidays was not too busy,

Pitches were ample in size however where water logged in places, the area was clean and plenty of refuse and water points. Touring warden was help full and polite.

Shower block was dated but clean and well serviced.

Park facilities were limited and shop was big but had only a small stock of food items, the chip chop had no opening times displayed so did not use,

The pool was small, and water was cold and the changing rooms left a lot to be desired.

Entertainment venue was ok, however drinks were expensive £3. 70 per pint. The entertainment was good for kids, however the team stars picked the the same people for every single activity and prize give away and were definitely more interested in mixing with the owners than the holiday makers, making references to personal jokes and bad mouthing rival companys became boring and was unprofessional which was a shame as the actual entertainment was good

The location of the site is good with lots of local attractions near by

We stayed in a static caravan at Kessingland Beach back in October 2011 and the kids loved it so much that we decided to come back for our first weekend away of 2012. I couldn't believe it when I phoned up to book and was told it was only £5 per night for a family of four with a huge Vango Vista 800 DLX- including entrance to the swimming pool, kids clubs etc. We normally choose very quiet sites with limited facilities and little entertainment but as it was May and we had a 2 year old with us we decided to stay somewhere with a pool etc so it was easier to keep our daughter entertained if the weather turned bad.

The site itself was quite busy with touring vans but there was only 1 other tent in the tents field! The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean with plenty of free hot water. The tent field is very flat but the grass is left rather long before cutting which then causes a mess once it is cut. The indoor pool is great- there is also an outdoor pool but it was too cold to try it. As it rained both evenings we took the kids into the showbar for the children's entertainment between 6 and 7pm, it's not normally our sort of thing but our 2. 5 year old loved it! The evening entertainment then went on to include bingo and cabaret including a magician and singer but we can't comment on these as we didn't stay in the bar after the kids entertainment.

The location is great, very close to Africa Alive and sea side towns of Lowestoft and Southwold. There is a nice pub next to the site which serves very good, reasonably priced food. Bar staff in the showbar could have been friendlier but everyone else that worked on the site were fantastic. I have given the site 10/10 for value but if you stay in the summer holidays it is £35 per night which is very expensive compared to the sites we normally stay at. Also we would probably not have enjoyed it as much if the site was busy. In conclusion if you can get a cheap deal this site is ideal to use a base to explore the Suffolk coast or for families.

 Site was absolutely fine.

Toilets were always clean and stocked with toilet paper.

The washing up area was perfect.

The staff were friendly (so were all the other campers/caravanners!)

Our dog was made welcome too!

The pub on site served good food (not cheap, but not overly expensive).

We didn't see any of the entertainment, so cant comment on that.

Only 5 minute walk to the beach!

We would use the site again.

It was excellent value for money!

For such a large site there was very little organisation on arrival found office was already closed with a sign on door to call security, meet with security to find they had lost our booking details.

Once this was sorted out were sent in the direction of touring pitch. As we enter field found we where sinking manage to locate a dryish pitch.

The next afternoon on returning to the site we found a camper van sunk up to its axles within a few feet of our tourer putting up their awning, I told them they would have to move as they where to close to us. The site office had told them they would have to stay there as the maintenance team where about to leave off and they would be towed out in the morning. Once I pointed out Fire regulations this problem was soon resolved.

Toilet facilities are dated but clean.

All other facilities on of were fine
