I visited this site in July as a taster for camping, I haven't been for 20+ years but used to do this regularly as a child.
This is a great site for statics. But for camping I thought it was very poor. Pitches weren't marked, and looked messy, toilet block was very poor and quite away from the camping pitches.
Wouldn't go back. But it hasn't put me off camping, just wished I had found this site before I booked.

Before I begin let me just say that it rained very heavily throughout our weeks stay here which definitely had an impact on how I thought this site was, however the parks facilities for campers did not help.
My family and two other families with children aged 3 - 15 stayed here in 3 separate tents and the booking process was easy and they did place us altogether.
As stated in other reviews this site is geared for caravanning.
After the third day of rain all families tents had lakes around them and it got so bad that one of the families decided to go home early. We stayed but wished we hadn't, no one from the park resorts team came to see us to help or offer alternatives and when we asked about being moved the response was just - we cant help the weather, which is true although wasn't helpful.

I liked this site as it is right on the beach. Not the sort of beach to spend the day as it is pebbles and marsh, but a lovely walk in the mornings and warm evenings .If you have a dog it will love it meeting other dogs on the beach and playing in the sea.
Toilet and showers clean and plenty of hot water. We were two families together ,and although they couldn't guarantee two pitches together when booking when we arrived it wasn't a problem as the warden was very helpful and said pick any pitches you like. Pitches not marked out and warden I think hopes that common sense prevails amongst campers which I found reasonable. Plenty of space anyway. This was ideal for our 6 kids as this left space in the middle of the green for them to play etc.
Entertainment I thought was good with decent 10.00pm cabaret spots, singers comedians, etc. Disappointed with the disco music after though, as they encourage you to go up and ask for requests only to find they hardly had anything in the charts and relied on those now compilation discs etc. Not really the way to go when you want to get people dancing.
On nice days outdoor and indoor pools both open and next to each other ,but not flexible with the opening times. A slot in the morn, closed, then a slot in the afternoon.
Nothing really outside camp except few pubs. Africa alive is just up the road, cant comment as didn't go. Not a bad base though for Lowestoft (not very good) and Yarmouth. £100 for the week for 8 people with electric you cant really moan. No probs with noise at night. Hope this helps anyone who intends to go as find these reviews very helpful.

We have just got back from a 4 night stay at this site and had a great time. After spending many happy childhood holidays here I thought I would see if my children enjoyed it as much as I did - and they did.
The positives of this site are that if you like your kids to be occupied and have plenty to do here is the place - The site has 2 parks, 2 swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), tennis courts, basketball/football pitch and good evening entertainment.
You will always find ducks and rabbits roaming the site which my son loved to see.
We also found the site to be very peaceful considering everything which goes on there.
The negatives are strong - the shower blocks are not very nice, they could actually do with knocking down and rebuilding, however there was always hot water in the showers, but hardly ever toilet roll in the toilets so make sure you have plenty of your own.
The pitches are not set out very clearly hence vary strange ways of pitching. However we managed to get a good pitch (quite a walk from the toilet block) and there was plenty of room for our children to play around us. You may find though that in bad weather the pitches are not great.
The shop is well stocked if not a little on the pricey side but as said by previous review there is a Morrisons close by.
The site does seem more geared for statics now than it was years ago but if you want a good value for money all singing all dancing holiday (but don't mind the nasty toilet block) this is the place and I will be visiting again this year!

Stopped in static. Not a very good site for tents, Touring area is at the back of site, beach is pebbles and the local dog walk.
Close to Southwold and lowestoft,Gt Yarmouth is about a 25 minute drive.
Camp shop is pricey although Morrisons is only 3/4 miles away.

Just returned from 4 nights at this site. The EHU pitches were close together and not marked so all parked rather haphazardly. The grass was long and the pitch muddy, but then the weather has been awful this summer. The statics area seemed to be better looked after. The beach is stony and it is a long walk to the sandy beach, you are probably better driving. On the positive side if you like plenty for the kids to do and organised entertainment then you will love this site, its a bit like a haven site

Just spent a weekend here and while we enjoyed the experience I would say the site is more geared for statics & tourers.
The site has all of the facilities you would expect from Park/Haven, two swimming pools, a clubhouse with two bars, lots of arcade machines for the kids, the site has plenty to offer in the way of entertainment.
From a camping point of view, the shower/toilet block was reasonably clean (gents anyway) with about 4 large showers, don't know how they were because it wasn't my month for a shower :) As well as sinks for washing up.
They have two areas for camping, one for EHU and one without. The EHU pitches were crammed together so you have to like your neighbour because you will be looking into their living room!
The non EHU pitches are spread across two fields and at the time there was plenty of space to pitch where you wanted. These pitches are quite a walk from the shower / toilet blocks which is something of a trek when taking your washing up and sods law that when you get back from that you then want to go to the loo!
At only £26, 2 adults & 3 kids, for the weekend including the full use of the facilities you certainly cant complain about the price. But this site is not for seasoned campers that want a bit of peace & quiet but more for those that want a cheap week / weekend away with plenty for the kids to do.

We spent a weekend here with our teenagers camping. We were shown to the 2 fields kept at the bottom of the camp for tents. These are standard pitches and you can choose your own spot which is great. We did look at the electric hookup pitches and they seemed very close together.
It is quite a walk to the toilet and shower block, there were plenty of cubicals and showers, although not very clean.
There are 4 large sinks (without plugs) next to the shower block, again these were not very clean and the water not very hot either, but it did the job.
This site is great for a weekend or longer for families with under 12's as the entertainment seems to be more for the younger children.
The prices for camping for weekends and a whole week can't be beaten though, so for a cheap getaway its a bargain.

We stayed here for one night on our cycling tour of Norfolk and Suffolk coast.
We paid just £5 for two of us, a small tent and our bikes, bargain! this included full use of all facilities, two pools, entertainment bars restaurant. We were shown to our pitch and water points etc, by a very friendly helpful chap. The field was one of two, large and virtually empty, at the back of the campsite, which was an advantage as we were away from the populated static caravan part of the camp. It was a bit of a trek to the wash block, over a small footbridge, but they were clean and adequate. The bar prices were surprisingly reasonable and the bar meals - two main courses for £10 - were nice. The laundry facilities were plentiful, although only open until 7pm
The entrance to the site is down a bumpy lane with lots of speed humps, not conducive to comfortable cycling!
