Stayed for 3 nights on a grass unseviced pitch towards the top off the slope. Gradient fine for a tent. Staff very helpful. Facilities fine if a little rustic and would be definitely bracing if used early or late season. Took the bus to Sevenoaks one day and walked through the woods to Ightham Mote the other. Both recommended.
Crown point Inn easy walking distance but you will need a torch if returning after dark. All in all a good site. Recommended.
Ps. If towing a caravan the entrance road is very narrow. Don't turn up before 12 because you won't want to meet another coming in the opposite direction!

We stayed for 3 nights bank holiday weekend. We booked late and with a distance to travel weren't sure if would make their preferred arrival time (before 8pm) but they were quite at ease about that over the phone and we did just make it. I think they know its difficult to predict M25 traffic. The road to the site is very narrow and of course, being what it is, you may well meet a large Winnebago coming the other way so note the passing places.
As said by others and the website, the site is fairly compact and on a slope. Nicely mown grass. Virtually flat pitches at the bottom have an uphill walk and a couple of hundred yards to the toilets. Those at the top are nearer, but on very slight slope and, as said by someone, close to the trees so with less sunshine - esp in the morning to dry out the tent. (didn't find tree roots interfering with tent pegs). In between the pitches are on an increasing slope. Our pitch was really quite large and none seemed on top of each other.
The site is very clean and during our stay was always pretty quiet from about 10pm. Small play area for kids helps socialising. I did however notice aircraft noise at night - not dreadful but noticeable against the quiet. I also heard owls hooting in the woods - which is lovely.
The toilet blocks are fine. Many seem to miss the second ladies' shower behind the washing up area, which has an electric shower so the hot water seemed always on. The septic tank does smell a little.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. For info they do not freeze down freezer blocks but hire out their own. There are recycling bins near the entrance.
Its some distance to the nearest shops but Borough Green is 5 minutes by car and has at least two chippys, a Chinese takeaway, a burger place and some convenience shops. There is an interesting Italian restaurant/shop on the left on route to Borough Green.
Although it may seem some distance on the map, the motorways made it easy to stay here and visit much of Kent - Canterbury, Whitstable, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle. It also seems a popular one night stopover for European travellers in motorhomes presumably to/from the channel tunnel.

Quiet site that is well kept and very pretty. We camped at the bottom and despite heavy overnight rain we were not flooded out. Great site for children as they can play in the nearby wood. Only one men's shower so maybe could do with another but toilet block kept very clean.
The nearby National Trust property, Igtham Motte, is worth visiting and is within walking distance (3 miles). We ate at The Bell in Kempsing. Copious portions and reasonable prices.

All you can expect from a club site. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Advised what to do in the area and a carvery and regular bus service a mile away. (you can walk from the site through the wooded area to the main road). The site very quiet and secluded although as previous entries have said on a slope. Chocks are provided to use free of charge. Toilets and showers were kept clean. Camped up by the toilet block, and the only downside is that you have people walking up around your pitch to access the facilities. This made it a little worse as it was muddy following heavy rain during the evening and overnight. Overall a great stay and will stop off here if in the area. Would recommend to book as the weekends tend to be really busy.

Very pleasant 2 days spent at Oldbury Hill, the weather was excellent as were the staff who were both very friendly and helpful particularly in helping set up the van. The toilet block was clean and well maintained if not the most modern, the showers were always hot, we enjoyed the walk in the nearby woods even if I did get us a little bit lost, You can walk to the nearby pub but don't forget your torch for the walk back in the dark. Overall we found the site very good and would go again and use it for a touring base.

Yes a small, secluded, quiet site on a steep slope surrounded by trees however chocks are supplied by the club team. As previous the bottom of the field has the most sunny aspect but was bagged by some 'travellers' thankfully they didn't cause any trouble during our stay and were due to be moved off. Toilets/showers a bit dated but plenty of piping hot water in the shower cubicles. The approach road to the site is quite narrow and requires considerable care along it. There is a carvery type pub across the main road at the end of the approach road. A bus service operates between Sevenoaks and the Bluewater shopping centre, bus stops on main road and timetable from reception.

We visited for two nights and really would have liked to stay longer! This was such a lovely, small, pretty, quiet campsite. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We didn't leave the campsite (except to visit a tesco express store about 5 mins drive away) but what we did see of the surrounding area looked lovely with some picturesque villages, pubs and good dog walks.
The facilities at the site were very good and kept nice and clean. There were only 2 ladies showers but as its a small site that wasn't a problem and I didn't see anyone queuing or waiting. There is a small children's play area too, which was a bonus as our son was able to go and meet other children. There was a very good laundry room with coin operated washer and dryer and sinks for hand wash, and a rotary washing line too.
The site is on a hill, but the staff gave us a ramp for our caravan and helped us to get it into place so that didn't cause any problem at all.
The only criticism was that we were pitched right at the top of the hill (nice and close to toilets and children's play area) but we were close to some very tall trees which surround the site, and blocked out the sunshine. Pitches nearer the bottom of the hill had loads of sunshine all day, whilst we had to sit in shade. If we went again I would request to be pitched lower down, to be able to enjoy a sunny weekend!
All in all we loved this place and would certainly recommend it.

This was our first visit to the site and we will definitely be returning. The wardens were very welcoming and friendly, and because the site is on a slope one of them escorted us to our pitch and levelled the caravan up for us (they even supplied the chocks).
The shower/ toilet block is a little old but is kept very clean, and the showers are nice and hot. There are only 3 showers but that was not a problem.
The site is next to woods which are great for walking (our dog loved it). You can purchase maps from reception as well as basic foodstuff, ice cream and gas etc.
This is a lovely site in a good location and well worth a visit.

I agree with all the previous positive reviews, and can add we had a very nice stay here. The staff are particularly welcoming, friendly and have a good sense of humour! An offer of help, should we need it, was great but in the end we coped ok!
The site is a good size sloping field but is flatter towards the bottom, it seemed to be very well draining considering the amount of rain that had fallen in the week before we arrived and the grass was well mown and kept.
The toilets and showers were very clean and it all worked well; although there are only 2 showers for males (1 in the toilet block, and 1 electric shower in the shower room) we never had to wait or queue, and the water was always hot.
It has been many years since I went camping, and this was to shakedown a new tent and kit so this site was ideal for us.

Just returned after a 2 night stay at oldbury campsite. As previous reviews have said the site is very clean and is in a picturesque area. When trying to find the site using a sat nav it brought us through some very narrow country lanes which were tricky to say the least so I would advise anyone to either use a map or plot your journey before you leave as you can get to the site without having to negotiate several miles of country lanes.
Not a cheap site for non members, at £26. 50 per night this could end up being quite expensive if staying more than a couple of nights
The site is on a slope which again is not to much of a problem as a ramp is provided to level your caravan. The toilets and shower facilities are both clean and well looked after. A small shop is on sight with only the very basics on sale,
If you are offered the option of where to site your unit you are best off at the bottom of the field as the sun stays in view till the end of the day(when the sun is actually out) were as at the top where we unfortunately put ourselves the sun is gone by around 2pm this time of year.
The staff are all in all very polite and helpful although be warned, if you like to have fairy lights of any kind, solar lights, a small coal fire near your caravan or worst still you do not park your car exactly parallel to your caravan you may be told off by the campsite chief of whom frowns upon any form of light after dark and even a candle could be deemed to bright or could be causing a problem to other campers.
As you should expect with most official camp site clubs they can be very regimental with the way they are run. That aside the site is still well worth a visit for the location and the general prettiness of the area.
