We stayed at this campsite on a beautiful weekend. We were able to get a good pitch, and the campsite did not feel crowded at all.
The toilets and washing up area were quite large and clean. The managers closed all of these facilities for two hours every day for cleaning, even though they were only attending to one part at a time. I felt it would be better if they only closed the part that they were cleaning and left the rest of the facilities open.
The site was nice and quiet, and well away from the main road. There is a pub nearby which offers a discount on meals for users of the camp site. The site is very conveniently placed for Sevenoaks and Knowle Park and there are some good walks in the woods across the quiet lane from the entrance to the site.

Just returned from a weekend and the mangers were exceptional. All the facilities were clean & well maintained but they were not heated.
The site is on a slope and the mangers do have numbered chocks for each pitch, but it is a bit of walk from the bottom of the slope to the toilets
Stayed on site for weekend so cannot say what the surrounding area is like, apart from there is a supermarket about ten mins away

The traffic a feint distant hum. Birds chirping and merrily getting ready to swoop off to warmer climes no doubt. Surrounded by English Autumnal splendour, this is absolute bliss!
Yes there is a slope so bring levelling gear. The wardens are perfectly charming and couldn't be more helpful.
Facilities are clean, but as stated only one shower per gender - not really enough!
Otherwise a thoroughly pleasant, peaceful site within striking distance of London or the greater garden of England.

Just got back from our first (but not last) visit to this beautiful site.
The site is hidden within Oldbury woods, the lane taking you to the site is a little narrow (especially if you are unlucky enough to meet another caravan - which we didn't thankfully!) but has a lot of passing places. However it is worth it when you arrive at the site (about a mile) which is a large grass area surrounded by trees.
It is very peaceful and we were lucky enough to have great weather too.
The wardens (its there first year here) are very cheerful and extremely helpful, helping you choose a pitch and even supplying specially made chocks for each pitch!
The site is lovingly looked after and is very well placed to explore the local area. For those in a motorhome there are bus stops in both directions at the end of the lane, so you can take a trip to nearby sevenoaks which has fabulous shops cafes and restaurants as well as knole park with its stunning house and of course links to London or go in the other direction to Borough Green to get into London from there.
There is also a nearby pub at the bottom of the lane which serves very good food and were offering 10% off for camping and caravanners whilst we were there. Though a torch is advisable for the walk back which was a bit scary!)
The woods around the site are great for walkers and particularly for dogs, our dogs absolutely loved it as we could walk for miles and didn't do the same walk twice.
The only downside of this site is that it only has one shower in each of the ladies and gents toilets, though there are a number of vanity units, however if you try to avoid the popular times then this isn't a problem.
In summary if you want a site with good links to London or just a place to unwind then this site takes a lot of beating.

We visited this site last week with two children and a 19 week old baby it was our first time camping with a baby so we was really worried. On arrival though we was greeted by such friendly people who run the site they was very helpful and could not do enough to accommodate us. They gave us a full tour of all facilities on the site and the local area including places to go with the children and discount vouchers for the local pub. The children's playpark although small was enough to accommodate all the children and kept them very safe whilst fully in our sight. Our children took great pleasure in using the slight slope to roll down anyway!
The hill as mentioned in past reviews is more of a slope its not bad at all we was on the lowest point of the slope and had no difficulties even with a small baby to carry. The facilities on site were kept very clean at all times and showers were always hot.
During our stay staff constantly checked all week to make sure we was happy and even accommodated us so we could be next to friends overall I would highly recommend this site to anyone and cant wait until our next visit.

This is a nice site not too far from London. The warden showed us to a nice pitch and helped us level up (some pitches are gently sloping) and provided levelling blocks. It is surrounded by trees, so it feels quite peaceful even though you are not far from an A-road and just outside the M25. The facilities are clean and well maintained. There is an old hill fort adjacent to the site which is good for the kids to play and walk around. There is a small play area within the site. I would recommend a visit here if you want to go to an easily accessible site which is not too far from London (but don't overshoot the partially concealed entrance on the left like I did when I arrived!).

We visited this site as a one nighter to give us a chance to explore the surrounding area and were very pleased with it.
The site is basically a large field on a hill with very pleasant woodland views opposite it. The hill only really presents a problem for campers on one part of the hill as it slopes very gently and then quite dramatically for only a small section. Whilst we were there no one camped on that part and it was mostly used by children for rolling down!
From talking to other campers I gather the site had only a handful of caravans on it in the week but was quite full on Saturday night.
The staff we met were exceptionally good. Always smiling and clearly dedicated to their work. They seemed to be regularly checking everything was ok for everyone.
The facilities were in a wooded area at the top of the site and were very clean but quite small. They were brick built but not totally enclosed so I would imagine showers could be chilly.
The play area was small but served its purpose for the kids. Here the compact nature of the site was an advantage as it meant our children could roam but be kept an eye on. We got peace and quiet as well as peace of mind and they had freedom!

We're active explorers (out every day) yet we've visited this site three times in one year and will be back again next year because there's so much more still to do. The site is close to the M25, the M26, London and Sevenoaks, yet is so quiet it could be in the middle of no-where. There's lots to do locally (esp. National Trust and English Heritage properties) as well as beautiful countryside (The North Downs) and good access to London.
The site has plenty of space and generously spaced pitches. Access can be tricky when it's very wet; on one visit the warden (rightly) insisted on pitching my van with his wide-wheeled tractor mower as I don't have 4-wheel-drive.
The facilities are standard Caravanning and Camping club: of good quality and kept clean. The only slight grumble is that, being unheated, the shower cubicles are a bit cold at the extremes of the season (but it was -2 degrees C each night on our last visit!)
Great site; certainly worth a visit (or three!)

The name says it all, site is on large hill but well planned and beautiful environment surrounded by woods with lovely walks with the dog - peaceful and quiet yet central for getting about.
Wardens were lovely, would offer their services whenever needed and very friendly.
Facilities clean and tidy - shame our fellow campers during our weeks stay did not leave them as they were found! However, site could have done with extra showers to cope with demand during busy times.
Lovely restaurant nearby and reasonable farm shop with seasonal veg for the BBQ - Yummy!
Plan to return next year and use frequently as our 'weekend' retreat

Just returned after 3 nights at this delightful camp. The weather was poor and when we arrived we were given a pitch at the bottom of the slope. But no worries here as it drained very well. The couple who run this site were very friendly and accomodating, nothing was a problem. The shop sold the usual suppies plus pocket money sweets for the kids, which they may have to restock after my three kids had been there. The toilet block was cleaned daily and dispite only two showers for the men, I never queued, the only downside it's a stiff walk up the hill from the bottom.
The surrounding woods were great to explore (with Oldbury hill fort in it's surrounds), the kids loved the rope swing just inside the woods, but beware an 11 year old broke his arm while we were there. Also look out in the woods for the 'polo' tree, great for pictures. Overall a lovely site, would return again.
