Just returned from a bank holiday weekend visit. Stayed 3 nights and had a great time. The site is very well looked after and the couple running it are very nice, welcoming and very flexible. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Only downside is only one shower in ladies although there are two lockable cubicles with sinks in. Good recycling facilities bottle banks etc. Site is on a slope but we have a large tent so got a great pitch at the bottom near the hedge. Rained on and off for two days and not waterlogged. Well maintained play area for kids which can be seen from around the site. Good small shop selling essentials bread, milk, tins sweets and icecream. Will freeze blocks for a small fee. Great location. Try the plough at ivy hatch for food, welcomed kids. Overall great site. One thing to mention, don't come if your kids love to play football. Is a camping and caravan club so no ball games and is a smaller site so no room anyway. No problem for us as have two girls! We will be coming again.

This site has a very small shop, toilet block, childs play area and woods where you can walk for miles. All these facilities are kept in excellent condition. I cant think of anything bad to say about this site even the women in the shop wouldnt sell the kids too many sweets much to their disgust and our enjoyment. We will be going back in the future.

We were suprised when we arrived, to discover just how much of a slope this site is on! The genteleman warden was quick and helpful with the chocs, however. What a pity the same could not be said about the lady warden! We were told off for arriving late (no time had been specified)and interrupting her tea. We were then told off on our last morning for leaving late (although the site was almost empty by then) The toilets and showers were almost 'al fresco'- probably fun in the summer but not on a wet October evening. Yes, the surrounding countryside was stunning, especially in the autumn and the site is very convenient for BR Sevenoaks and therefore London but the attitude of the lady in charge means that, very unfortunately,we would certainly not consider returning.

We stayed here two weekends this year. It is a truly marvellous site tucked away in the Kent countryside once you find it. The neighbouring woodlands is also enjoyable and provides a good hike without needing special mountain boots. Also, it is very nicley sheltered. The difficulty is that you can stay in the flat section and be furthest from amenities or put up with the slope, interesting in a tent. The staff are very friendly, but the woman running the show, oft mentioned in previous reviews, would most politely be described as eccentric - refusing to sell the children chocolate as it was three minutes till they opened - that sort of thing. Showers fewer in number than they should be - when we went in May there was only one for each gender. On balance, a very relaxing time to be had and we'll look forward to going again next year.

We stayed here for one night as an overnight stop. The site wardens were very accomodating fitting us in with our very last minute booking. The site was very tidy and the facilities were clean. The ground was soft enough to take lightweight pegs.
We were glad of the sloping site when the torrential rains came during the night as it meant that we didn't get flooded when so many nearby sites were waterlogged!

After reading the reviews I was a bit scared of the lady who runs it with her husband. But I thought she was great! a real down to earth character who had 35 years of camping experience and was more than ready to share it with us. Her husband was a real gent and very helpful too! The site is really clean, but sloping, so it was quite a step down onto our caravan steps. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed the area as there is plenty to do, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay out this very pleasant site.

We stayed here August Bank Holiday Weekend and although the site was full there was plenty of space for your needs. Only gripe would be that there are only 2 showers per sex and only 2 washing up stands for the whole site. Oh and the extremely friendly site lady, I laughed at the previous persons comment for someone turning up early, whilst we was there she dared tell someone off for arriving on time! Lovely area surrounded by woodland walks, in the woodland opposite the park entrance there are two great tree swings! A few good Pubs are within a few miles of the site and one even takes dogs, cant remember the name though. The P. Arms?? Would definitely return.

We took our children away for their first camping trip to Oldbury Hill last week and we all had the best time ever! I had been dreading camping with two small children (both under 5), but this was an ideal place to introduce them to tent life (!) - a clean, family friendly site with good amenities, a great little play area and all we needed was there - the owners were friendly and were great with the children. We can't wait to return - soon.

We are lucky enough to live not ten minutes from Oldbury Hill, and the whole area is great. Lovely walks, excellent pubs (the Chequers Inn at Heaverham is superb). The site is clean and quietly situated and well maintained. Be prepared to be made to feel like a naughty schoolboy ( or girl )if you should dare ask for anything from the shop, you may upset the stacking system and incur the wrath of the rather unpleasant "lady" denizen of the site. If you try to book in even ten minutes early it's straight to bed for you and no dinner! That said, on the whole we still enjoy going there, and if we got a detention, we'd just walk home!

A nice site set in lovely wooded countryside. It does slope a bit but the warden who was nice helped us to level our caravan. The site is very clean and very peaceful. We arrived during lunchtime and one of the wardens (the grumpy one) made a sarky remark about interrupting their dinner.
The toilets/showers are very clean although the the actual block is not heated so it was freezing cold in there. There was 4 showers in all (2 for men 2 for ladies) and one of the mens showers was not working, but there was a sign from a plumber saying awaiting a part. I think we would go back as it was only 1hr from home and perfect for a couple of days break.
