Fabulous campsite which we return to year after year. Toilet facilities are always spotlessly clean with plenty free hot water. The radio in the toilet shower block is a great idea!
Pitches are large and all hard standing with separation between.
The owner Thomas and his son are both friendly and helpful along with Harry the caretaker.
Fab children's play area with a dedicated area for toddlers which has push alongs and a small slide.
Very handy for maybole and for Culzean castle.
Definitely recommend this site.

Visited this site over Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Easy access and spacious pitches. We booked a super pitch with electric, water and grey waste. The pitch was very flat, only a minor adjustment on the jockey wheel to get level. The owners where friendly and helpful. The facilities where spotless and warm with hot showers which were nice and powerful too. The site on the whole was very well kept with a playing field, play area, dog walk and the jewel in the crown, the heated indoor swimming pool. The town of Maybole is only a mile away and Ayr is only a five minute drive along the A77. Definitely a site to visit again.

Good location, lovely views of countryside. Clean and warm toilet and shower block. Laundry room had a good book swap shelf.
Short walk into Maybole for shopping such as chemists, supermarkets, florists and lots of vets!4 mile drive to Culzean Castle (National Trust)
However we were charged £20 pn for caravan/ EHU/2 people in February, when the price listed on the Caravan Club website is only £15pn.

We were at the site for a couple of days last week.
It is a well run friendly family site with a helping family there to help.
The site is larger than it looks plenty for kids to do 2 small play parks and football area. Swimming pool sauna to,
Well kept large heated toilet block plenty elbow room showers and wc etc,
Large pitches electric and water in each pitch
Some have waste drain in pitch to.
Small shop in office area with necessaries plus ordering papers ect
The site is not far from the town and is well sign posted
I would expect you would have to book in advance as this is a very popular site affiliated to caravan club and this is one that we will be back with our grand-children and me and the wife because the park caterers for all.

Went for a relaxing weekend, was met by mark the owners son, who was keeping the site tidy, facilities were very clean, only gripe is towards other guests, all toilet cubicles had toilet brushes so why weren't people using them. Picked our own pitch due to it being quiet, great huge indoor pool at £2 each, is to be renovated along with the gym, small shop with basics with lots of local info, all in all very nice will be back.

We visited this site for our first time and what a gem it was. Owner was very friendly and could not do enough for us. Toilets were spotless and warm.
Very handy for the town of Maybole where you can get supplies. There is a lovely chinese restaurant there so give it a try sometime. Lovely views and walks in this area as well.
We can not praise this site high enough. We'll be back often, just hope the weather improves next time.

Stayed here for 3 nights with ehu. The site is well looked after and the toilet facilities are spotless and warm.
The tent pitches are of great size as you can pitch your tent almost anywhere. The site has a small swimming pool and a play park that if you have kids they will keep them busy for a while.
Views around the site are great but if you fancy going into Ayr itself you will need a car as its a bit far to walk.

We have just arrived back from a three night stay at The Ranch Holiday Park.
It was very busy with families and talking to some of the regulars it also seems very popular.
The park is built on two levels with some full service pitches on the second level for which you are charged no extra money, which we took advantage of. We were also advised that the T.V. reception on the second level was far better than the the ground level and we had no problems in tuning in about 80 freeview channels.
The pitches were a good size, and we could pitch an awning ok next to the caravan with good space.
The toilets and showers were of a very high standard with relaxing music being piped into the bathroom areas which was a nice touch.
We found the views and scenery some of the best we have encountered to date. We went for a trip down the coast to Girvan and to Stranraer and the views just got better by the mile.
We were charged £68. 50 for the three nights and got a discount for being Caravan Club members to take it down to £60. 00. For a day pass of £2 each you can gain admission to the indoor swimming pool which is great for the kid's.
Helpful hint. Take a plug with you for the dish washing room as there doesn't seem to be any.
All in all we had a great three days with a full service pitch at £20 a night for the three of us and a fantastic view of the hills etc.
We will definitely be back to this site and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here at a friend's tourer and had a lovely time. It is a well kept park with small leisure centre for small children Understood to be getting renovated).
Owners are friendly and make you welcome.
Highly recommended campsite, lots of good places to see nearby- Burns Country of course; Ayr has plenty good shops and nice eateries.
We'd go back sooner if it wasn't for fact our friends had moved their van to storage due to lack of use but hope soon to take our own van there for a short break as we are only 45 mins away.
Thankfully parking the' van is quite easy on this site, provided you ask for one of the flat pitches.

Stayed for 2 nights at this pleasant well run site. The area for tents is on the top terrace, bordering a field with two goal posts for children to play. EHU is available for tents but limited places. The ground is mainly on a slight slope but there are flat patches. No designated pitches, as much room as you need and no questions about tent size/party size/gazebos.
Seems to be a flat charge per tent. Communal BBQ shelter in field next to small paddock with several friendly goats. Views are 360 degrees but this can mean it's windy. Toilet/shower block is top notch, the best I've seen.
Clean and modern, warm and well appointed. Even has radio playing and potted orchids. Ladies has several toilet cubicles, showers and stalls with sinks for having a wash/doing make up etc. Complimentary hair dryers.
There was a separate disabled cubicle operated by radar key. In addition there was a disabled access cubicle within the ladies with pull down shower seat. Baby change table available also.
2 play areas for children, a toddler area and one for older children. Good equipment in good order. Even in the rain my children enjoyed playing here. There is a pool but we didn't use this.
In Maybole there are several shops including a co-op and keystore. In Ayr there are lots of attractions and places to eat.
Would definitely return.
