Easily accessible from main roads if after a good all year round location wanting to explore Northumberland and surrounding areas. Pub had A adult only area, appeared clean, decent looking meals and reasonably priced. Extensive children's play area and adjoining field area for ball games, safe run around area. Staff friendly, touring area decent sized pitches. Liked the idea of grey waste and water tap next to pitch, share these facilities with next door pitch. Pot wash area well sheltered and bin available along with hand towels. Wash room warm, clean. Showers not the best for water distribution. Dog poo noted lying in various areas around the site which is from reckless dog owners who won't pick up after their pooches. Dog poo and normal general bins plentiful around site. Should not be left to the staff to pick up after irresponsible dog owners. Site overall and well maintained mainly made up of statics and seasonal tourers but small area for tourers good. Could of done with a proper info leaflet highlighting site layout, public footpaths, to be given upon arrival. Good sound site for families with children. Can see the site been a height of activity in mid-high season. Will visit again.

If you have children, a caravan, don't want to walk anywhere and don't mind noise then this is the site for you. The touring pitches are next to the children's play area so every child on the site and this is a large one will be coming through the touring pitches. In fact the touring area seems to be an overspill play area a lot of the time with bikes, scooters and every toy imaginable on parade, large water pistols were the favourite which were filled from the water taps on the pitches - so water everywhere! This holiday park is largely statics and seasonal pitches with a central toilet/shower block which was well appointed and adequate for the size of the park. The new clubhouse is out of bounds to dog owners so we were not able to use it even sitting outside, which is a great pity given that a large number of tourers have dogs and would love to eat and drink and spend money, their loss. The county walks mentioned on their website turned out to be an overgrown Bridleway into a field which did not go anywhere, the village is not walkable as the road is not suitable. Although dog friendly there is nowhere to walk your dog other than round the park. The advertised WiFi was not working. As I said great for families with children, if you want a quiet break with country walks don't go there.

Thank you Forget Me Not Country Park. From the moment I booked this site on the phone and spoke to a lovely and very helpful lady to the departure the following day.
This was our first ever caravanning experience and the staff couldn't do enough to help us.
We stopped on The Paddocks which has just opened up and was 30yrds from the very impressive and newly constructed 'Club house'.
The park itself was well maintained and spotlessly clean and very well sign posted.
The shower/toilet block was clean and tidy every time it was used and always had loo roll.
The newly constructed 'club house' was really really nice from the 'adult only' bar with its inglenook fireplace with log fire and comfy sofas to the large family room with equally impressive bar, dance floor and indoor child's playing room with height restrictions to bi-folding doors leading onto the terrace with seating and newly and well thought out children's play area.
We didn't eat in the bar as we had already eaten in the caravan but the menu and food did look lovely.
The staff couldn't do enough to make our stop a good one.
We've booked again. Thank you once again.

Arrived without a booking but no problem, the cheerful lady Claire presented us with the warmest of welcomes. Booked in then escorted to our pitch personally then installed after a rundown of the facilities. Paid £25 per night for the serviced pitch which compares favourably with lesser sites. Plenty of space with water and waste included. A social club on site serves meals at weekends and is open during week for drinks. Toilets immaculate as befits a five star enterprise. We'll certainly stay again when up north.

Arrived Sunday and so was unable to gain the 'cheap' mid-week rate.
Met by the lovely Claire who showed me to my pitch (Number 15) which is a fully serviced one. Nice gravel hard standing easy to park. Plenty of room for car, caravan and awning - which we didn't use as there was a fair wind blowing. In passing, this site is easy to find.
Entry cards for barrier and toilets for the 'usual' £10 deposit.
The Shoulder of Mutton in Longhorsley is a good pub, excellent ale and good food.
The on site pub/restaurant has peculier hours so we did, nt use it. It might get better later in the season.
We liked the site and will probably use it again. Very tidy. Nice showers etc. Of course it is a big site mainly for statics and seasonals but we were well looked after. The local town of Morpeth is worth a visit. Parked several times there and all for free if you have a parking disc. I would rate Forget M Not as a full five star site, reccommended.

Lovely site. We had 4 days here over New Year. Large well maintained site. Our first stay here and I would come back. £80 for four nights. They don't charge for dogs. Spotlessly clean loos and very warm. Didn't use showers as we have a shower in caravan and we used that the second 2 days because it rained and the wind howled and I don't think I moved from the caravan for 36 hours. Hubby took the dog for walks. Take note some of the pitches have different sized water valves. We, and the guy next to us, had to borrow an adaptor from the site office. £10 deposit for the loo and barrier card, refundable. Childs play area next to the toilets Friendly lady booked us in. Morpeth 8 miles away. Morrisons supermarket there with a café.

2 adults, 6 nights.
Like many other reviewers we were reluctant to stay here as we once stayed 8 years ago and vowed never to return (one of the worst sites we had ever been to).
Thanks to all the people giving positive reviews on ukcampsites / the fact that this site was ideally placed for our break and that it was under new management we decided to give it a try.
The whole site bears no resemblance to what was there before. Maguires had done a really good job on turning it around.
Although this is now mainly a 'static holiday home' and is a pretty big one they do accept tourers.
As a rule we usually avoid large static type sites as they are often very noisy with poorly maintained toilet blocks and rowdy club bars (not our cup of tea) but this is quite an exception.
We were pitched on a FULLY serviced very spacious plot, once the direct to caravan water supply and the waste drain pipe were connected it became a hassle free holiday (no filling the water barrel or emptying the waste, heaven)
They have 'totally' free Wi-Fi offering a reasonable speed.
The toilet / shower block was kept very clean every day and although there were 4 very nice shower cubicles we still used our caravans dedicated shower as this is large and convenient (especially being fully 'plumbed in' and not having to worry about how much water we used.
There is an on-site bar with decently priced drinks serving food from Thursday to Sunday offering the usual 'pub bar' meals again decently priced and of good quality (this is not a restaurant) the local village pub Shoulder of Mutton also do nice food.
They have a large team of workers constantly keeping the park clean and grass well cut so the site is very smart.
One thing we were surprised at was how quiet and peaceful it was (given the size) maybe staying in September had something to do with it.
The best surprise of all was the cost!
They do a Monday to Thursday special offer of 4 nights for £40 and Friday to Monday 3 night for £50 and this is FULLY serviced (most places charge £3-4 per night extra for this) 'absolute bargain'.
Finishing off I would like to say to Maguiers (if they read these comments) we were on pitch 32 and could not pick up Wifi unless I walked over to the shower block or the bar area so a 'booster' mast at the back of the site might help. You have 5 parks but only have this one accepting tourers with fully serviced pitches and special offer prices, if your other parks had the same to offer we would try them as well.

Booked to go to this site at the last minute, we were pleasantly surprised with the wonderful countryside surrounding this site and the quaint village of Longhorsley. When we arrived at the site we were greeted by very friendly staff who drove ahead of us to show us our pitch and make sure we were able to manage. Site itself was immaculate in grounds, facilities and had a lovely bar again with friendly staff and excellent food. Morpeth town nearby has plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this friendly well maintained site which has beautiful surroundings. Well done the McGuire family. I hope to return to this site in the future.

Just returned yesterday myself husband and our two westies after spending the bank holiday here. I cannot praise the site enough what a difference the new owners have made. The welcome received was second to none and we were shown to our pitch by the owner himself who was extremely nice. The pitches were huge and hardstanding and a the one way system around site great. Toilets amazing and immaculate. Meals in the pub on site were lovley and very reasonable. It was so peaceful you would never have thought it a bank hol weekend and site was full. We would highly recommend this site to anyone and will be returning ourselves.

A lot of people, like us, will have visited Forget Me Not in the past and vowed never to return. A chance Bank Holiday weekend away, following a friends experience as a seasonal on the park, turned out to be the biggest surprise we could have.
The site has been transformed with new amenity block, roads and hard standings. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough to help. The food served in the Bar is excellent. I did have my arm twisted to get a Jam Sponge & Custard for desert and it was the best.
Some large sites like this, tend to be in it for money and punters get a rough ride. Forget Me Not is quite the opposite. Billy & the team work hard to ensure your stay is perfect. If you are not happy, the management are not. The team are always around the park to talk to and no issue you have is too much trouble. This makes the difference between a good holiday and a great holiday.
The park is ideally located for trips to market towns and the sandy shores of the east coast.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
