Just come back from the north. Spent 2 nights at Forget Me Not, a night in Scotland (Fort Augustus) then travelled back down to spend another night at Forget Me Not.
Great site- spacious grass pitches with electric hook up for £15 a night. Bargain! Especially as the toilets and showers are so clean. There's a decent bar on site which serves a good selection of beers and very reasonably priced food (not sampled).
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The site is easy to to find (well sign posted) and handy for Alnwick, Rothbury, Morpeth etc.

Our first time at this site and only our second outing with the van.
Its easy to find from Longhorsley, just off a very tight bend/junction so don't go past it.
The pitches are spacious and spaced around a grass field, there is no hardstanding.
It had been raining and rained a lot of the time we were there so FWD cars had problems, we had packed a tow rope and used that as we were next to the gravel access road.
The toilets, play area and bar are all located close by. Even though we were located near to the bar there was no noise from it on either night. Toilets as mentioned by in other reviews were excellent.
Closest shop for supplies is in Longhorsley next to the pub.
I don't think tents are allowed now, best to check.
Close to Cragside and not far from Alnwick, I'd recommend it.

Our family stayed at this site for a weekend. The most special feature of the whole site were the toilets. This campsites toilets were so clean you could almost eat your dinner off the floor! There is a huge family bathroom with a bath which is ideal if you have little ones. The on site pub is friendly and the meal we had there was enjoyable. The playground is well equipped although it was like a mud bath as it rained the whole time we were there! It has a wood chip surface so if the kids fell down then they got filthy. Take their wellies just in case! A negative would be there is no shop to buy any basics you might need. We would definitely go back to this site.

Superb site.
The site's facilities include a bar/family room and a games room which both are very well maintained and clean. Also, it doesn't not cost much so it's not really a money - grabbing opportunity. Well done!
The toilet/shower block was clean, warm and very well kept. The showers were nice and hot but the only downside was the showerhead kept turning off every now and again which is very annoying when you're stood with half a bottle of shampoo on your head! There were several toilets, all extremely clean, with fresh toilet roll and proper locks on the doors. There was also lots of washbasins with their own private door, which I found very useful. The playground was ok, better than any other playground I've ever used as there was quite a bit in it. It had a slide, swings, climbing frame, everything, name it, it was there. The only downside was it is in the campers field so it was not very handy for tourers. It's a short walk away which isn't exactly bad but isn't too practical.
I think the surrounding area may be nice to visit but I would not know as I live very close to the site and did not venture off the site at all. But if you were coming from a while away, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Druridge Bay, Seahouses and Rothbury are about an hours drive away.
All in all, a very relaxing family holiday. We will be returning in August!

Both myself & my son had a great time & will be going back. Cracking site, clean & well maintained, price in keeping with other sites but with more to offer. Plenty of room for kids to play, nice bar, reasonably priced & food is not bad either. Definately reccomend!

Stayed first Bank Hol in May. Lovely site, very well maintained, staff friendly. Tent pitches next to the playground so easy to supervise the kids. Plenty space, room to play ball etc
Field was very open, not much shelter from strong winds. Need to ensure tent well pegged down.
Superb toilet and shower facilities. Clean, warm, good size showers for changing. Family room with bath, shower and toilet. Good facilities for dish washing.
Pub on site, did not use on this occasion. Only downside was there was alot of noise well into the early hours as campers seemed to continue to party after the pub closed.
Would definitely camp here again but would take some ear plugs as when you have small children your guaranteed an early start in the morning

The overall campsite is very nice, clean and tidy. There's a lovely little pub on site, they had Karaoke on the Friday night & a singer on the Saturday when we where there. You can get your local paper from reception, cant say I seen anywhere to buy food, though there's a small village about 5 Min's drive away that has a little shop. In the entertainment block they have hot dogs, and sweets for the kids. The shower block was lovely and warm, very clean & hot water. All free everyone will be pleased to know. There's a park for the kids to play in, and ball games aloud, but may change at there busiest times. Would definitely go back to this campsite if didn't want to venture away to far from home, as it was only 25 Min's drive away from Ashington. Heighley gate garden centre, was about 10 Min's away from campsite.

My partner and I booked this site on the spur of the moment after getting ticket for Linden Hall Bigge Weekend. We found the site to be much better than expected. The toilet / shower block was very clean and spacious. The site could really do with having a shop for bread, milk, papers etc as there was no where close to get these things. We didnt go to the club but judging by the friendliness of everyone, Im sure it would have been a good night out. A well maintained site, I would love to have stayed a few more nights, but had to get back to work. Lots to do within drivng distance, Alnwick gardens and castle a must to see. A BIG thanks to the girls on reception who arranged free transport for us to get there and back to Linden Hall.

Just got back & what a big improvement from the last time I was there about 4 yrs ago if that. The pub I was dreading with the smoke but I was so pleased to see its no smoking in the family room. The new amenities block is fab & pleased the loos were closer this time. I like the idea of the sinks available in private rooms especially because I had to wash my hair with 2 t-towels - long story! I think the games room is ok for a while but think its a money making scheme as its open all day long. The pool is the best but then instead of the slot machines, I'm sure the kids would appreciate 2 pool tables instead. Kids loved the much improved park. The food is ok & reasonably priced but small portions. Probably will return again.
