What a great campsite! Very friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Appears to be in the middle of nowhere, but is only a short distance from Boston where there are many shops etc & Skegness is only 1/2 an hour away too.
We camped in the meadow which was really nice & well kept. There was no-one around when we arrived, but I sent a text to Roger to let him know we were there & he told us to pitch where we liked & also to take a look around at some of the free roaming animals! The kids thought this was brilliant. There were rabbits, ducklings, peacocks amongst others which happily wandered around the site, which only made it feel more idyllic.
The shower block was fine & kept clean & stocked with loo rolls/hand towels etc. The showers were good & provided a nice hot shower. We were also impressed with the fact that there was an indoor kitchen/washing up area with use of fridge/freezer, kettles, toaster etc.
Having stayed at the site we will definitely be going back again. Some reviews seemed to 'mark-down' the facilities, but for us this was an excellent little camp site with perfectly acceptable facilities. Remember - it is a farm. There will be animals! It is a camp site, not a hotel. If you want luxurious shower & toilet facilities you'd better not go camping!

We stayed for a week in the Static Caravan, and it was absolutely perfect for us! Not the newest and flashiest, but spotless and functional, and with 2 young children that was exactly what we wanted! The only thing that it could have done with was a larger outdoor seating area, like the other pitches had, but we had camping chairs so it didn't pose us too much of an issue.
The site was very peaceful, apart from the occasional 'animal chatter' but we were not woken by the animals at all. The children loved the menagerie, especially feeding Clover and Bluebell, the resident goats! With frequent visits from the ducklings too, they enjoyed the stay very much. I would say that you do have to be observant of younger children, as you would anywhere around animals.
The site was quiet when we stayed, and we even managed to fly a kite in the Meadow!
The location was great for us, close enough to Boston to nip in for essentials, but nicely situated to make other places easily accessible too.
Would we go back? Yes we would! Thank you for a great week!

This is our first visit and find the site and facilities to be of good standard the toilets & shower was cleaned on a regular basis. Having free use of shower, fridge freezer and cooking equipment is a bonus as most sites charge for these.
We found the surrounding area great for walks and seeing the wildlife. Roger and Jan were great and very helpful, on arrival they showed us where we could pitch our trailer-tent and gave us an information sheet with the rules of the camp site and some interesting facts about the surrounding area, eg: where the nearest shops, petrol station, doctors etc.
We met some wonderful people who was also camping at the same time It was wonderful to see the animals Peacocks ducks with ducklings & rabbits roaming freely round the site, it was great to see the children that were visiting getting close to the animals that roamed freely around the site
We will definitely be returning for another visit and would recommend this site to our family and friends.

We had a very friendly welcome when we arrived and had a good choice of where we could pitch our tents! There was plenty of space at it was not over crowded. We were given a short tour of the site and my children enjoyed the lovely animals, especially the rabbits and peacocks.
There are a good range of facilities on site which included the standard toilets and showers but also fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster! These little extras were really useful as we were in a tent. The showers and toilets got cleaned daily and were excellent facilities! The town is only a short drive away where there are all the facilities you could need.
A very lovely family orientated site, which provides good facilities at a good price. Will be returning soon!:-) Thanks for our lovely stay!

We pitched our tent in the top field but left after a couple of days as the site wasn't quite what we expected. First of all, it was not as quiet and peaceful as we thought it would be.
Next problem was general cleanliness. The open bin (a builders orange bucket without a lid) in the ladies toilet was not emptied at any stage whilst we were there. Friday to Monday afternoon. This was the weekend when the temp was in the 80's. The mats/rugs in the shower and toilet rooms were also dirty. Overall this area was dated but if it was kept clean, it might not be quite so bad.
Then the wooden seats/benches. At some point they would have been nice but over half of them were dragged to the side and left covered in nettles and weeds. Some of them were broken but just left around the area, looking very untidy
Owner's comments: Yes we did have a family of rowdy children on site, the first time we have had such loud behaviour in 10 years. The toilets are basic but heavy cleaned twice a week and checked at least once a day. They, the showers, use of fridge freezer, toaster, microwave and kettle are all free as is the use of the barn for social gatherings and watching CCTV or playing the piano. Note that the pitch fee is £8 per night or £50 for 7 nights. The old table in the grass is a feature as is the two horse one man operated Farrow that is on site. We are a wildlife haven, and advertise that clearly, and if you read the two earlier reviews, or most of the other reviews you will see that we appeal to very many people and some are regular visitors even coming on more than one occasion in a year. The complainant is plainly unsuited to any camping other than, perhaps, on a large commercial site, and perhaps would have been better to have booked a hotel.

I stayed here on the Daily Mirror camping offer and I am really pleased I did. On arrival I was greeted by the owner who showed me all around the site giving me the options of where to pitch and explaining the facilities. I chose the meadow which overlooks the impressive open Lincolnshire fields and was delighted by the presence of many birds and other wildlife. The facilities include the usual showers & toilets but also boast a free to use fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster, which I guess would be great for people in tents. The facilities themselves are clean and functional, but may be a little 'Heath Robinson' for those used to large commercial sites. I understand that further gas power showers and other improvements are planned, but personally I found the existing facilities more than adequate. There is a lot to see here including Peacocks, Rabbits & owls and the owners have even provided CCTV cameras to watch the animals remotely. The town of Boston is about 15 mins drive away and has all the usual shops and supermarkets. I think overall the best thing about this site though is the relaxed peaceful atmosphere which I particularly enjoyed - I hope to visit again some day!

Just arrived home from our 2nd visit, and this site ticks all the boxes for us.
Roger and Jan are special people and nothing is any trouble for them, they go the extra mile to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
The site is how nature intended it to be, a little overgrown and unkempt, but only for the habitat of the wildlife that reside in the farm. Roger excels at showing everyone all the animals that live on the farm, and Jan will happily answer any questions and show all the young they have from there various breedings.
The site is close to Boston and Skegness and several very nice little villages. The toilet and shower block are very well kept and regularly cleaned.
My wife and I and my son and his 2 small children are going to make this site our 1st choice for our weekend breaks.

We enjoyed the site, nice to see the animals roaming free and all the other animals that Roger has, our children really enjoyed spending time with Roger helping feed the animals, When we arrived Roger was very welcoming and showed us around the site, we was able to pitch where ever we wanted too which was nice considering my partner is disabled, so we choose a pitch close to the facilities, All information was well explained. Not to far away from Skegness, boston or other palces yet far enough for a relaxing stay away from traffic.
Have booked again for next year. Keep up the good work Roger you are doing a great job.

It was are first time at ivy house farm and it won't be the last as we enjoyed are stay there, we used are tent with main's hookup. The ground was in excellent condition the facilities are clean and in working order a little modernisation won't go a miss.
The owner's are very helpful and have a vast knowledge of the area and what wildlife you are likely to see around the site (and the wildlife is a nice touch).
The site allows dog's. And it was the first site where there was a full kitchen to use if you wanted included in the pitch fee, there are plenty of drinking water points. There are shop's a short drive away.

Hubby and I have just come back from a blissful five nights. The site was like caravanning on a nature reserve. Wild flowers, bushes and animals everywhere. It was so peaceful and lovely and clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful especially as we arrived a day late. Nothing seemed to phase them.
They gave us a very useful guide to the local area which included everything from shops to sights and a few more unusual things to see as well. Very helpful.
It was lovely just sitting in the caravan watching the rabbits and peacocks wandering freely around the site. You couldn't get bored.
Around the area are loads of lovely farm shops for all your local produce and if you want beaches then Skegness isn't far away. There is plenty of things for people of all ages to see and do right on the doorstep. We will definitely be going back.
