Great site for kids. And their parents, we didn't see them as they were on the park the whole time. Not good for pitches right next to the park though I do admit it was loud. Helpful, friendly staff.
We had to wait for a hosepipe to fill our motorhome, as no tap had a screw thread which was odd. Tokens for showers are a bit of a pain, especially when they don't work properly!
Saw a few soapy people at the shop buying more mid shower. We wasted at least 75p getting the things going. I agree with water conservation, but why not just use push button ones?!
Great track down to Saundersfoot where we spent a lovely day at the beach. Tenby is beautiful and the 'park & ride' excellent. Large vehicles like motorhomes- remember to buy a ticket for each bay you occupy. We got a fine, but the lovely traffic warden supervisor cancelled it for us when I made her a cup of tea!
We had a great time and will return.

This was purely a random choice, but what a great choice it turned out to be. We had a level pitch with hook up and the pitches are spacious.
The toilet/shower block was always clean and the supply of hot water was limitless, ditto the washing up facilities. My only complaint would be the lack of hooks for towels/clothes above the wash basins.
The kids loved the play ground and loved to cycle down the track to the level crossing to watch the trains.
A great site that gives good access to so many great places! (Beaches: Saundersfoot, Freshwater East, Barafundle. Wet Day:Folly Farm, Blue Lagoon. )

I stayed here on Thursday 14th June with my partner and daughter who is 3. We stayed in a tent and were the only people camping (not a good sign).
I had planned to stay 2 nights but unfortunately the weather was not on our side and our tent had collapsed by 9pm Thursday evening. The wind and rain had been so strong that the poles supporting the tent had been bent and there was no way to rectify the problem.
My daughter was already fast asleep by this point. Luckily enough the manager was driving past and noticed our tent. She told us she'd see what she could do and would be back in 5 minutes. She returned 5 minutes later and told us that we could stay in a lodge for the night much to our delight! I never got this womans name but she's an absolute saint! The rain was battering down at this point so we grabbed our stuff, grab my little one in her sleeping bag, jumped in the car and headed over to the lodge.
I recommend a stay in these lodges, they are absolutely gorgeous! Lovely and warm, so cosy, had a wonderful nights sleep and a nice hot shower in the morning.
I can't recommend this place enough, despite our bad camping experience, the campsite was well maintained and offered lovely views.
There was also a lovely park on site to keep children occupied. The facilities were great, the staff couldn't of done more, especially the manager.

I have been coming to this site for many years, enjoying the friendly owners and beautiful campsite and as morbid as it sounds I told my husband I loved it so much there that I wanted my ashes scattered there when I died.
This all changed in 2012 after a visit to the site. I was sad to learn the campsite had new owners, but I gave it a chance anyway. They didn't answer the telephone on regular basis in fact it was a mare trying to get them at all. There wasn't a contact number for out of hours problems, a few people turned up and all I could say was sorry there's nobody about and no out of hours number since the new owners have taken over.
There used to be a park for children of all ages now it is more inclined to older children not toddler friendly. The ladies toilets accommodated an ironing board and iron, but this has now gone. There was a baby changing table and baby bath and jug for younger babies /children but that had been removed also. The showers weren't working properly as they had previously, the toilet tissue wasn't replenished as much as it was needed, neither was the hand soap, the shop wasn't stocked enough as it has been previously. The new owners weren't anywhere as helpful as the previous ones, places where we had camped previously on site were now out of bounds to us, and they came to check if we had camped correctly and it felt like we were constantly being watched and checked on which annoyed me, especially as we felt we knew the site better than the new owners after 15 years of camping here.
I had mentioned to the lady receptionist/owner that I would be returning the week after mid week. She replied ok. The following week I telephoned to confirm the next day arrival to be told it was fully booked and I wasn't one of them on the list. I told her I had made arrangements with her and booked it with her while I was there the week previously, and she replied no because you didn't confirm as you left that you wanted the following week. I said I thought that we had booked it in office the day arrived. She said no you didn't confirm as you left so all spaces gone. To say I was annoyed is an understatement.
I had planned my birthday with my granddaughter camping in my most favourite site. The previous owners always accommodated me whenever I camped there, they even gave me gifts at the end of my year camping with them and to thank me for my custom throughout the year as I went down there every other weekend or week all through the year from April through to October.
I will not be staying here any more they have lost a lot of custom from me and my family and extended family and friends .
I have previously bragged and recommended this campsite to many people over the years but now the new owners have spoilt all the work the previous owners have done. I am currently looking for another campsite in the area as I like this area a lot.
The new owners have a big reputation and big boots to fill and if they don't then they will lose a lot more custom unless they take things up a notch.
Other than that the facilities are clean, beautiful peaceful setting stunning campsite, the only thing that lets this campsite down is the new owners customer care and privacy.

We booked this site mainly off the good reviews on here - they were right! It was a lovely, friendly, quiet campsite.
The staff on the site were welcoming and very helpful with info about local places to visit.
Our children (9 & 7) loved the park.
The site was silent by 10pm and the pitches with electric are spread out to allow views towards the sea.
The showers were always clean, powerful and hot and I never had to queue.
Some noise from the nearby road - but it didn't disturb us or the children.
The washing up area is undercover and washing up bowls are provided for each sink. It's a shame there are no recycling facilities.
There are loads of gorgeous beaches and pretty villages within easy reach. We had great fun doing a mystery trail round Pembroke (bought from the tourist info) and watching the sea cover the carpark at Laughne.
The area was new to us but we'll definitely go back and recommend this site as well.

Booked this site day before arrival. Arrived to a warm welcome from receptionist, who took us to our pitch, but then decided we could have a choice of 3.
Toilet blocks clean, even though 25p token required. New toilet block at far end also clean, but maybe because this site was not as busy as we thought being Aug.
Pitched under some trees at the top end. Nice flat pitch.
Lovely site, with good facilities. 2 boys 7 & 5 enjoyed the park area.
Would definitely return. My only criticism would be directions not clear so did get lost even by following sat nav.

Well myself, partner and daughter have returned from yet another week at Moreton Farm. I have been coming to this site since I was 16 and I'm now 36 so on and off I've visited at least 10 times in 20yrs.
I remember when I first went to the site as a young teenager and Wendy (who is still there) was wary. But gave us the benefit of the doubt and let us stay. I can honestly say that for this I have to thank Wendy as since that first visit I've enjoyed many more.
The site is picture perfect and spotlessly maintained. Wendy and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful and always have time for a chat. The shop is well stocked for basic needs but Saundersfoot is not far away and you're close enough to Tenby if there is some sort of dire emergency hair product that you may have forgotten.
The pitches are well placed and the grass is always maintained to perfection, even after the great rains of August 2009 the site is perfect. The showers and toilets are always clean and although the shower tokens sometimes fail (the staff will always give you a replacement if this happens) it's always worth taking in 3 or 4 depending on how long you want to spend in there.
There is plenty of room for the children to play and with the small park they have on site my daughter was always coming back with tales of new friends. She also loves going into the site shop for plenty of sweets. So remember your toothbrushes!
All in all I'm looking forward to going back next year (although we may go for a lodge next year - we've stayed in them as well and they're brilliant. Especially if the weather is against you!)
As for the area, there are plenty of things to do, see and explore. May I recommend a visit to Castlemartin Range, Pendine Sands, The Stack Rocks, The Green Bridge of Wales, Angle Bay (but take your own drinks and snacks as they're overpriced and the coffee was truly awful!, Amroth, Saundersfoot (see the whelks being landed) and Caldey Island.

An attractive campsite which was well managed with a decent playground for the children and both toilet/shower blocks etc kept very clean. Hot water for washing up was hit and miss in the bottom block, but was fine in the tent field block.
The tent field is on a slope, but when we were there all the tents were pitched on the top of the field where it is flat, and the rest of the field was used as a massive games area. The pitch size is not fixed and the owners put pegs in to allocate your spot - we found our allocation a bit narrow and we were almost overlapping guy ropes on both sides.
Overall these were no more than niggles and we would be more than happy to visit again.

I have mixed feelings about this site. It is well located with both Tenby and Saundersfoot just a few minutes drive away and plenty of surrounding attractions to visit within a few miles. There is even a nice track walk down into Saundersfoot directly from the park which is a bit steep coming back but that's the countryside for you!
The park itself has very well maintained grounds and looks pretty but camping there could be a much nicer experience for want of a few small changes. The camping field is a good size yet people are allocated pitches within a few feet of each other - we could easily hear conversations going on in our neighbours tents. I can understand the owners wanting to make the most of the space especially in high season, but it wasn't that busy when we were there and so not really any need to pack us in like they did.
There are signs all around the site asking people to keep noise to a minimum after 10pm yet no one seems to enforce this. Staff leave at around 6pm and you don't see them till the following morning. Not great when you have people having 'parties' until after midnight.
Kids are not supposed to use the toilet blocks or showers unless accompanied by adult which is a bit of a pain. The shower facilities are adequate, although weren't cleaned every day and you need at least 2 tokens if you want to wash your hair and your body! My 8 year old son wasn't happy about having to shower in the women's block and I felt bad at having to take him in there. He is capable enough of showering himself but was unable to reach to put the tokens in the meter to start the shower - possibly another way the owners use to make sure they don't go in unaccompanied? That's all well and good but fails to take into account single parent families with children of the opposite sex.
The token system is in place for anything that requires power which would be ok if the the things actually worked. The owner complained that people were blocking the token machines with 2p's yet when you put the token in you heard it fall into the coin box so it wasn't blocked, they just didn't work! (Don't bother using the hairdryer - stick your head under the hand dryer it's quicker. )
There is a train track which runs the length of the park (and right next to it) and is used regularly but to be honest you do stop hearing the trains after a while.
The main thing that irked me was the fact that they clean the toilet block between about 7. 30 and 8am and don't let you in while they are doing it. Sorry but that is the first place I need to go when I wake up and cleaning should be done earlier if they don't want people going in whilst they are doing it. It happened whichever block I went to.
I don't think we will use the site again, shame because the location is great.

Just spent a week at Moreton Farm with my husband and 2 children under 5. We had a lovely holiday visiting Tenby and the surrounding coastline, an area we love. But unfortunately the campsite didn't live up to any of our expectations or earlier reviews.
The positives are that the staff were friendly and helpful and the grass areas were kept very neat. But I'm sorry to say there are many negative points, caravan pitches are very close and on a slope, the children's playground is in the caravan field so from our pitch there was no break from noise from 8am to 10pm, often later with teenagers gathering there to hang out.
A railway line runs along side the caravan field, directly behind our caravan pitch. The shower facilities were dated, draughty and quite grubby, the showers, hairdryer and iron all take tokens but often didn't work.
The site isn't cheap, we paid £24. 50 per night and then to be expected to pay for showers that are of such a low standard is unfair. Washing up area was out doors and grubby, no recycling points for rubbish.
The 'shop' sold mainly sweets. Finally, the access road from the main road was in a dreadful state, full of potholes and very difficult to pull out from when towing a large caravan.
