Site is mainly seasonal caravans with some hard standings for tourers although it is not really clear which are available as some had cones on and others not. In the end we went on one that was just big enough for the caravan but not really level.
On the positive side the site is nice and quiet (we were there midweek so most of the seasonals were empty) and the facilities clean if a little tired.
Unfortunately the bins were overflowing and attracting wasps and the chemical point looked like an old falling down shed.
We chose the site as it is near to family who live near Newcastle and it is just off the A69 so served a purpose but not one we would rush back to.

Visited to meet up with friends and immediately we loved this place. So peaceful and very well run.
Facilities are a little dated but immaculately clean. 2 separate bathrooms and a disabled shower/toilet within the main block alongside 2 more showers and toilets for male and female. Wash room with washing machine and dryer and sinks. Never a problem having to wait.
Two fields, several seasonal caravan pitches which were very well looked after which convinced us to ask about having one which we now have after buying a tourer.
Ken and Joanne are so friendly and obliging we cannot wait to start staying there. And getting around the area supporting local businesses by car.

Would happily stay another time.

Nice quiet site but within a short distance of the bustling market towns of Hexham and Corebridge. Lots of Roman history in the area.
The owners were lovely, you just pitched up and they came round later on their quad bike to collect payment. Had a card machine which was VERY useful. £20 per night was slightly expensive as the site had just the basics.
Liked the individual shower rooms, not cubicles in a toilet block, you could take your time. Good wide path round field edge to walk our dog. Liked the 'all quiet after 11pm' - so peaceful.

Nice site plenty room, nice friendly welcome.
We only stopped to try our new van but will look to return as it is in a good location to explore the surrounding towns and countryside.

A very good pitch. Due to Covid facilities were restricted. Dog very welcome, with good walks round the fields on the doorstep.
Location is excellent for exploring south Northumberland and north Durham.
The wonderful Northumberland coast and the Cheviot hills are also within easy reach for a day out. And don't forget the great local pubs, towns and villages of the Tyne valley.

The drive from A1 junction west onto A69 is pleasant enough, mostly farm land, about 7 miles from the A1 Situated 4 miles east of Corbridge, there is a right turn to make across the dual carriageway quite an easy manoeuvre with plenty of room with it’s own central reservation slip.
A mile through a winding country road and you meet a sign for wellhouse campsite, left turn onto a single track tarmac road, an option to turn left into the bottom field for a grass “park where you like” option, or turn right into the top site for mostly compact gravel pitches,
The park itself has well maintained facilities, including an amenity block with modern toilet units, showers, disabled access, laundry, dishwashing area and main reception.
There is a choice of 45 pitches for tourers, tents and motor homes, with electric hookups, hardstandings and internal road. We prefer the bottom field for it’s non regimental pitching flexibility, the site allows fire pit’s to be used, which makes the evenings fantastic when the skies are clear,
It’s quite an easy going site the owner Ken Richardson let’s you pitch up get settled and calls later for payment, he also comes a round at 11pm as this is when noise has to stop, we normally sit around a fire chatting quietly way after this time,
The site, being a working farm has walks around the land and a dedicated dog walk area, although I think it’s ideal for children with the large playing field, there is no shop, no pub (nearest is 1 mile), no play park and nowhere to spend daddy’s money but all ball games are normally played without affecting anyone as the field is huge.
It’s a laid back relaxing site close to Corebridge and Hexham, hadrian’s wall etc is just a stone’s throw away (pardon the pun). I’m a regular as I like the relaxed non regimental feel of the place and a no rush feel on departure day.
Well worth a visit for all types of camper.
