Our 4th visit here, but most definitely not our last visit.
Showers/toilets immaculate, shop not yet open, but there is now a lovely quiet dog walk which wasn’t available last September.
We have had great weather which is a lovely bonus.
We fully recommend this lovely little gem of a site & we will be booking again

Kestrel Lodge is a beautiful, peaceful, well kept and friendly site which we hope to visit again.
Our party had a reactive rescue dog and the site owners were very understanding towards her.
The facilities were kept clean and tidy. The little on site shed shop was very handy selling logs for the fit pits, marshmallows, bacon, eggs from their hens on site and other essentials when camping.
A freezer to use as we please for our ice packs. 3 mile walk to the nearest lake but was well worth it!
Absolutely stunning views at all angles from the site too. Honestly was a beautiful getaway for us on this Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
Thank you for having us.

A beautiful site, kept spotlessly clean.
I work at a stately home and the site loo and shower block was far superior.
Never saw anyone from the site but that did not stop us from having an amazing week, even with the weather being wet and cold.
Would definitely return again.

Wow, was completely overwhelmed with this site. Beautiful views of Skiddaw & Blencathra, though these would be marred later in the season when the trees are in leaf.
A tad more expensive, (£83 for 3 nights), than what we usually pay but you get what you pay for. On the weekend we were there we even had wall to wall sunshine.
The Booking system works well. The shop wasn't running yet.
Pitches are well spaced out with your own picnic table, drainage EHU and water connection.
Toilet block was immaculate with good showers & toilets.
Threlkeld is Just over a mile with Keswick about 3, but both have a large hill on the way back. The Keswick cycle path is about 1/2 a mile away and is gorgeous for cycling in to Keswick.
The Horse & Farrier is well worth a visit but you will need to book.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Burns farm was easy to find good roads,
Every thing was pristine,
Beautiful location,
Thought a little expensive but you get what you pay for and I think we did.
We would camp at Burns family again.

Just spent 4 night at Burns farm caravan and camping site in our caravan,
The pitch was hard standing, level with water tap, drain, and electric, you also have a picnic table,
The toilet block is the best we have seen in 18 years of caravanning, a shop is opening next year, there is camping fields and 4 camping barn's been built,
The views from your pitch of the fells is great as was the sunsets. There is lots of walks from the site,
Threlkeld village is 3/4 of a mile walk 2 pubs and a coffee shop all selling good food.
Keswick is a 3 mile walk or 5 minutes by car

Stunning location.
Beautiful, immaculately clean and well-maintained facilities by a working farm.
Very near to castlerigg Stones and the wonderful railway walk from Threlkeld to Keswick.
Really loved this one ❤ even in the torrential rain!

Very impressed with the site and facilities. Clean, new shower block & toilets.
Ample room for your motorhome with wooden picnic table & chairs with each plot.
Shop and laundry room are in the process of being completed so once opened there would be everything you need for your stay.
Great walks nearby.

At £32 per night this was the most expensive site we stayed on. Water & drain on each pitch was useful and the facilities were new and pleasant (showers a bit on the skinny side).
What we found unusual was the completely contactless booking and check-in, no staff to be seen. What happens when a customer does not have access to emails etc. On a mobile phone.
It is a large site which caters for allcomers, tents, caravans, motorhomes alike.
It was quite a walk to the bus stop and very uphill on the way back. We drove the motorhome in to visit Keswick and found parking relatively easy, but costly.
It is in an ideal location for walkers and has good views all around.
