This is a brilliant site. Our pitch was level, sheltered and felt like we were camping in a wood it was so private and quiet. The wardens were very friendly and helpful.
There are lovely walks from the site around the lake.
The no 77 bus stops right outside, it's a lovely journey into Keswick and you can do a round trip coming back via Honiston Pass if you have more time.
There are no facilities here, just waste emptying and water so I can't give a score for that.
There is however a very handy little shop for essentials.
Which definitely deserves a 10

Beautiful setting. Luxurious facilities.
Very well organised and maintained.

Excellent campsite, great facilities and plenty of space,
The toilets and showers were of the highest standard,
Very clean and well lit.
I would give the site 9/10, 10/10 when the reception and shop open.

A very clean and tidy site. Fantastic toilet block.
Nice views across the fells. If a young went there was no playing area, a small field just to kick a football around would be ideal

Really nice campsite. Several different areas to pitch, we were in ‘Tewet’, all with great mountain views.
Brand new toilet/shower facilities, very clean.
Could do with more electric hook ups for tents.
We will be back and would recommend. 5 stars

Well run site with recent upgrades.
I booked a non electric grass pitch for 5 nights at the beginning of August. They sent a list of site rules prior to arrival, which helped set the expectation for quiet nights sleep, and groups discouraged, which suited me as a solo traveller.
They have set aside more fields for tents than the picture shows, but everything is well signposted, the shower and toilet block was lovely and new with hot water (push button and free). Amenities will be better soon as a reception, shop and laundry facilities were being created.
Check in was remote, mobile numbers available if staff were needed.
The closest pub is in Threlkeld down the country lane and over the A66 (mile or so but no pathway for most of it). The nearest attractions are a short journey away - castlerigg Stones and the Keswick climbing wall and cafe. The 5km railway trail to Keswick is worth a trip.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We booked an electric super pitch, so we had good space as well as a picnic bench. There are numerous fields centered around the facilities, all with cracking views. They have more non EHU pitches than EHU, and they seemed to drain well-essential in this part of the world.
The facilities are excellent- lovely big, clean showers with plenty of space. We visited before the shop and laundry is finished, but they will be a big asset once they are complete. We ended up having to find a laundry in Keswick, and this was a bit stressful! The rubbish was sometimes overflowing, but I think that is often down to other campers rather than the staff.
It's in a good location for Keswick and the Northern Lakes, and easy to get to if towing. The booking system was very efficient, but due to the contactless system (and the shop being closed) we didn't really see any staff all week. Whilst they stressed they were contactable by phone- it's sometimes nice to be able to put a face to a name.
We have also heard that they are planning to convert their grass EHU field to glamping pods this current year. I do understand that this will bring in more guaranteed income over the colder months but lack of grass EHU pitches would put us off returning.
We don't mind the odd bit of non-EHU camping, but when we camp for a week, it makes our lives easier as we use electric for our cooking and light in our tent, rather than gas.

Absolutely delighted with our choice of site for this short break. Best facilities we’ve ever used on a site and we are seasoned campers! Lovely hot, free push-button showers with plentiful hooks and shelving to put all of your clobber! Beautifully clean.
The owners have clearly got lots of passion for their site and have added some wonderful, brand new facilities, with more to come. The whole site is beautifully presented and immaculately kept, with colourful floral displays, clear signage and new hedge plantings that will provide further privacy between field sections as they mature. The site is surrounded by mountainous views and we enjoyed watching the paragliders from the safety of our deckchairs!
Check in is automated and seamless. The site rules seem to be respected and we enjoyed a quiet stay, without any nuisance noise.
The only thing we’d have liked, that we’ve enjoyed on other sites being dog owners, is somewhere on site to go for a little wander with the dog. The lane is quietish but *is* still a road. , with passing campsite traffic. However, this didn’t spoil our stay and we will definitely be back!
