Absolutely lovely site. Very well looked after with nice short grass. Very big pitches and owners are very relaxed about how you pitch. We put a gazebo up for our party of 4 tents and they didn't mind at all. Toilets were always spotless and even when the site was full you never had to wait.
Well stocked site shop and some superb steaks from the owner's own cattle. Yum!
We had some bad weather including high winds and rain and the owner had to rescue some tents while campers were out. He used his van and vehicles to block the wind and hold the tents up. He even lent one family a caravan when their tent blew down.
The park was really good for the children and was a great meeting place for them. Lots of open grass to play ball games too.
A nice walk down to the local beach at Mwnt or a short drive.
I would highly recommend this site and will be definitely going back!

Very friendly, well run campsite, with views - a little distant and with fixed caravans in foreground - of the sea at Mwnt.
All the pluses: loo block kept beautifully clean, showers had good hot water, unlimited at all times of day and night and were that nice simple push button kind that you don't have to fiddle with. Laundry/kitchen room: wonder of wonders! Campers had free use of an electric kettle, a microwave and a small fridge. Amazing what ease a cheap electric kettle brings to campers as quick alternative to boiling up on your campergaz. And the convenience of putting your milk in a fridge! Washing machines but slightly strangely nowhere to do hand laundry (I improvised when having shower). Helpful provision of leaflets, and camp owner ran a second hand book exchange in shop to raise funds for lifeboats too. Shop small but could get milk and emergency chocolate. We enjoyed the farm-produced steak and big juicy burgers.
Downside: maybe we hit a bad fortnight but this campsite (and the area I think judging by the dwarfed lopsided trees) can be seriously windy so bring extra guy ropes and peg it all in strongly. Two tents had broken poles whilst we were there. Some people moved to an open field over the road, no sea view but apparently more sheltered. Pitches? Basically the campsite is a big square field. Grass is kept well shorn but, a slight downside, it's one of those sites without trees or hedges and with tents and standing and touring caravans all in full view of each other.
Not ideal but pluses outweigh this. We were camping with a teenager but could appreciate that playground was ideal for younger children who all roamed about and could practice their social interactions and leave parents to a bit of quiet. We'd have appreciated that when we were camping with three boys a decade ago. We gather that when the weather is better, you can borrow bricks from the camp owners and can set up fires. That would have been very pleasant to sit round but weather too bad for anyone to indulge in that this year. We were really cold! Temperatures 14 to 18 degrees generally in late July/August so we were huddled in blankets by 9pm.
Campsite could get sociably noisy I could imagine but owners seem to have policy of children quieted in tents by 9pm and as their house is on the premises keep an eye/ear out and manage noise.
General area: absolutely lovely. Walk down to Mwnt beach. You can do a loop via footpath alongside right of campsite and back up the road (or drive down). Our favourite beaches: top scorer, LLancrannog absolutely perfect. Aberporth a close second with two beaches to chose from. You can reach other almost private beaches from both by walking along the coastal beaches. Saw seals (twice), dolphins (twice), swam (bring bodyboards), kayaked (first time trying out inflatable kayaks) or just walk. Two topscoring coffee places. Lovely little visitor centre/community centre at St Dogmael's Abbey (went three times) and place in Cardigan offering sour dough bread light lunches with decor in that right on drift wood arty style. (went twice) Very nice indeed. And liked Cardigan as pleasant, full of charity/junk/art gallery shops too.
NB: couldn't get mobile connection at all on site. Wifi £15 per week or pay by the day/hour but BEWARE, this is on one device only so choose carefully when you log in to set up.
Not 10/10 throughout because of slight openness of site (prefer a bit of compartmentalisation and trees to help with washing lines and bit of privacy) and the way caravans block the best views. But yes, would revisit - and gather from social laundry chats that may people return again and again.

We stayed 7 nights here at Blaenwaun and we had a great time!
The site is lovely, and well-maintained, with views to die for! The owners are nice and relaxed, made us feel very welcome straight away, and were more than helpful with our requirements while booking.
As has been said, the approach to the site from both sides is fairly narrow, though there are passing places.
The evening we arrived, we pitched up and were invited to the bbq in the barn, which was very welcome, given that we arrived after teatime and were starving! Good food, drinks, a bit of music- we had a good time.
The toilet block was clean and tidy, plenty of loos, sinks and showers for the size of the site. They were cleaned twice a day, and were always well stocked with loo roll etc. The camper's kitchen/wash up/laundry room was useful, being there for a whole week meant we needed to make use of the washing machine and dryer.
There was a little shop on site, stocked with the basics, and you can freeze your ice packs in there- just be aware that its only open certain hours.
Mwnt beach, which is very near the site (1/2 mile I think?) is beautiful- but the there is a very steep slope followed by steps to get down to it. Well worth it if you are able though, its lovely.
Cardigan is a short drive away, for shopping, its a quaint little town, nice for a wander round of an afternoon.
We can also recommend Cardigan Coastal Farm Park, plenty of animals to see and feed :)
All in all a lovely, well-run site that we are happy to recommend.

We spent a week at this site and what a great site it is! I really can't think of any downsides to this site at all. They have a campers kitchen which was brilliant with use of a toaster and kettle plus microwave. So handy when we had the odd shower at breakfast as could get fed quickly then head out. They have laundry facilities, a play area and a small shop selling their own beef burgers and steaks plus essentials and ice creams.
There is a kids play area, great views and the grass was well kept. It is an open and sunny site.
We were non ehu and had loads of space!
Wasn't sure whether to review or not as seems a lot of people go back year in year out and it might be best kept a secret.
All in all fantastic!

We spent two nights here and would have spent longer but the toilets, showers and wash-up were dirty, so we moved to another site. This was a shame because the site is in a lovely location and the sunsets are stunning. The camping field is quite exposed but is one of the best I have used. The site was very quiet so there was no excuse for the dirty facilities.
The lanes are narrow and get very busy with traffic going to Mwnt during the school holidays. Dogs are not allowed on Mwnt beach.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Blaenwaun Caravan Park.
The surrounding area was beautiful with great views onto the sea and plenty of space in the campsite for our 8 and 4 year old to play football etc.
The playground was great although the toilet facilities was mediocre with poor ventilation and if you wanted a shower the bench was too close to the urinals.
What is important to mention is that the hosts are very friendly but due to there placid characters do not enforce the need for noisy neighbors to quieten down late at night You do not want to hear people intoxicated swear at 11. 45 in the evening with your children trying to sleep next to you. Hence be careful when choosing this site with young families.

Tent:08 Outwell Montana 6 & front Porch Extension.
Family: 2 x adults 2 girls (7yrs & 5yrs)
Camping experience:
We're seasoned tent campers with camping holidays of long weekends & 5-7 days stops continuous over the last 5yrs.
The site:
On arrival we were greeted with a smile and warm welcome from the owner, we're used to having to sort on site payments once you pull up, but with the owner there was none of that 'pay now attitude' instead it was 'no, don't worry about that just now, there's no rush, settle in first with the girls and pop over when ever you're ready' (how nice was that! and to top it off she had moved us to a a pitch that gave the best view from our tent of the sea. Wow!)
Pitch:
Grass pitch, very well maintained (best yet!)and also the largest pitch we've had to date by far (standard on this site) the ground is perfect for tents, there is a few mm of soft earth beneath the short grass then a little firmer, nothing too hard but perfect peg footing stuff. Each pitch is separated by a white plastic chain to small white painted wooded posts, clearly marking the boundary of each pitch, along with a small plaque with the pitch number on it(our E/H was attached via one of these posts to the rear of the tent).
Parking:
You can park next to your tent, our MPV fitted within the pitch boundary with ample space between a caravan next to us, and between our vehicle and the tent.
Site facilities:
Very well equipped, plenty of spotlessly clean showers(lovely, hot and free with no annoying token or coin method) There's a large disabled wet room/toilet/family shower room (thermostat adjustable which was ideal for my little girls. There is a campers kitchen which has washing machines a standard fridge (freezer compartment) microwave, toasters and kettle. There is also an internal public telephone point( mobile signal was poor for our phones - Orange with 3G, however there is WiFi at a small cost I think, we didn't really care, I was glad for the break!)
Fresh Water:
As above, also outside undercover by the toilet and by the Pitch, there is light from the owner's home and the site facilities block not overpowering, but just enough to help guide you to a water point or the showers etc.
On site shop, the owners take turns opening:
Opens in the morning and late afternoon for 2hrs each time. They sell a modest supermarket type selection at honest prices, not motorway service rip of prices, you know what I mean
Of most note is the fact they sell their own 'farm fresh produce' such as milk & eggs and in addition; steaks/burgers/sausages and so on. I had the nicest, biggest chunkiest fillet steak, it would have cost £12 upwards and any main supermarket chain, their steaks only went up to £6. 75 at the most.
Nothing was too much for you (lent us an extension for our electric hook up because ours wasn't long enough to). The owners are genuinely friendly and care, they work hard to make sure everything is work can make a quick buck off. The site is clearly part of there business and they seem to enjoy it, which in turn makes your stay that much more enjoyable.
Night time:
The site went quite by 10:30ish (but was never that noisy, even with the small safe children's play area. The night sky was just stunning, thick with stars, my girls loved looking out for shooting stars and got really exited when they spotted them.
The area:
We visited most of the local coastal beaches, all sandy and had easy access, New Quay has a lovely harbour, we saw dolphins close by. We went into Cardigan which is lovely, it has mainstream shopping such as a large Tesco's (nice cafe) plenty of local shops with items crafted and fairly priced.
The weather turned for the worse whilst there with heavy winds, the solid foundations ensured our tent stayed the course (again, the girls loved listening to the wind and rain) but even though the latter part of our holiday was wet, it took nothing away from it.
We're saving a bit now, hoping to go back in September and this time spend a long weekend in one of the two modern statics they also own, both of which have a premium view looking out over the bay to sea (the owner was kind enough to let us have a look inside one, they're immaculate)
I was so surprised that there was not more reviews of this site, but now I know why having spoken to those on site who said they always come back each year, they want to keep this little gem quiet. My family & I have found our perfect place to stay, there is still lots to do and see, this is the best site for not just families in tents. We're coming back Sunshine or rain.

On arriving at the site the shop was closed (this is only open a couple of hours in the morning and again in the evening)there was a sign on the door to go to the farmhouse. Unfortunately the farmhouse has lots of doors and I don't like knocking on peoples doors so would suggest maybe a sign on which door to use. The owners were very nice and helpful and we were given a choice of where to pitch our tent.
There is a modern shower block which for the ladies has 2 sinks, 3 showers and 3 toilets. A lock on one of the toilets did not work but not sure if this has been mentioned to the owners. Men's had 2 showers, 3 toilets and 2 sinks. Even though the campsite was busy we never had to queue. I even used the shower which for me means they were good!
The washing up facilities were inside and there was a microwave, toaster and fridge. Also were tumble dryers and washing machines.
Newspapers can be ordered for the next day to be collected from the shop.
The campsite was nice and quiet and although had statics on site the people were not noisy.
The site itself is 2 3/4 miles from Cardigan which has a medium size Tesco. I would suggest getting the directions from the owner as the first time we went it took us ages. We had a short walk round Cardigan but nothing special. There is lots to in the area so good to do some research before you go. Luckily for us our second day was beautiful and we spent the whole day on the beach. The beach in Mwnt is fantastic. I would suggest driving there (only about a mile) and parking was £3 for the whole day. The only down side is you have to walk down lots of steps so when loaded with deck chairs, food etc can be a little testing on the calves! We are definitely going to go to this site again and hopefully pitch nearer the great playground area so we can chill in the tent whilst the little one plays.
Overall a great site and can't really find anything more they could do to make it better!

We stayed for 4 nights over the half term holiday.
Great location with views across the bay.
There is a beautiful beach within walking distance.
The playground was great for the kids and they made many friends during our stay.
The toilets and showers were kept very clean. We also found the on site shop very useful.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, even booking a table for us at the local golf club for an evening meal.
We look forward to returning again next year.

Excellent campsite, fantastic sized pitches, very friendly owners and made to feel very welcome, park great for the kids, lots of grass to let the kids run wild fly kites (watching the cables) and riding their bikes.
5 mins in the car to Mwnt beach which is lovely and if you are lucky like we were, you may see the dolphins and seals come into the bay.
The only thing I would say about the campsite is the amount of showers and toilets available to the number of people staying. However, they were kept immaculate.
We have re-booked to go back next year and cant wait!
