Blaenwaun is a lovely campsite, great for young kids, clean facilities, large pitches, friendly staff, lovely views of Cardigan Bay. The meat sold in the campsite shop is fantastic for the BBQ.
We had a four-night stay over the bank holiday weekend and even though the showers appeared to be fewer than needed for the size of the site, we did not have to queue much, if at all.
Mwnt beach and the surrounding area is beautiful. I would recommend the walk from the campsite down to the beach - suitable for kids 5+. Have a walk out onto the headland from Mwnt beach and look out for the dolphins - stunning!
Highly recommended

We have stayed here more than once and would highly recommend this campsite to families and those wanting a relaxed peaceful stay (seagull noises forgiven).
The facilities are spotlessly clean (cleaned thoroughly twice a day) but for some campers who choose to leave toilet paper all over the floor, and squirt shampoo up the shower wall. But there is no accounting for how others behave unfortunately.
The pitches are very generous in size, we have a HUGE tent which we cannot get on other sites. Grass is cut short and your pitch is clearly marked. There is a constant breeze, we have never stayed when it hasnt been there. There are beautiful views of the sea and the sunset.
It is a very relaxed atmosphere. It is all quiet at 10pm, the farmer comes and asks the kids to move off the park and go back to tents etc. We sat and chatted outside our tent quietly with no problems.
Other campers are generally like minded as us (respectful) even after what I have said about bathroom habits. Kids are all playing out, making friends at the park.
Mwnt beach is lovely.
Shop is adequate and Tesco is not very far away.
Indoor kitchen area is lovely with kettle and toaster and washing machine etc.
This site is total value for money. We continue to look at other sites all the time but cannot find anywhere that meets the high standard of this one at such a fair price.

Absolutely wonderful site with a warm welcome even though we arrived after the office had closed.
Fantastic views and well groomed grass for pitches.
Mwnt bay is absolutely gorgeous even though we went there on a bit of a grey day, be prepared for a bit of an adventure getting there if you don't drive though. I enjoyed the walk both to the bay and back again.
I hope to be able to go back there again some time soon and spend some time walking and relaxing in the surrounding area.

We started our tour of West Wales here on the site. The site itself is very clean and well set out with a shower and wc block and even a laundry room. We pitched our tent on a gorgeous sunny afternoon and then went into Cardigan for some shopping for our planned evening BBQ.
Upon our return we went and visited the animals and had a walk about the site. The views of the sea are amazing from where we had pitched. It was pretty idyllic.
Unfortunately we were woken up at 5am the next morning by very strong gales and to find our tent was collapsing around us! This was the end of our time in Cardigan as we had to retreat in order to repair our battered tent.
The site is really peaceful and is set away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. It is a pity that our tent struggled to cope with the elements. We've not let it put us off and will return to this site in our new, stronger tent soon we hope!

Just returned home after spending the week here for Whitsun, didn't want to come back! What a lovely site! Extremely friendly and helpful owners, despite it being fairly busy the site facilities were very clean. Only queued once for a shower and only for 5 mins.
Wonderful facilities for all types of tourers/campers, there was free use of a kettle, fridge and microwave for those who were non-electric. Beautiful views and the sunset was amazing to see.
Pitches are well maintained with excellent drainage, electric and water points were well situated for everyone. Pitch size is very generous our tent is 7 metres by 3 metres and we could have easily pitched 2 of that size on our pitch alone as well as the car and trailer.
Fishing pool and field across the road (flying kites) was used by our lads age 16, 14 and 12 and they loved it. Very nice park on site where our 10 yr old daughter spent hours and made lots of friends.
5 minute drive away is Mwnt Beach, a beautiful, clean family beach, there is a shop and toilets there to use, we could easily have spent hours and hours a day on the beach alone.
Can't fault this site at all and we will definitely be returning!

The owners of the site were very friendly. I had been to the site approximately 4 years ago and was pleased to find it still extremely clean. The toilet and showers are very clean, the showers lovely and warm. The laundry and cleaning area are spacious and clean.
The site itself is very peaceful and I find it so relaxing to stay there, it never seems long enough. The only issue experienced was with regards to other residents rather than the site. The site itself is a very relaxing environment to experience peace and rest, however we found some distraction from the peace, by the distraction of the tv's in caravans with curtains/blinds wide open in the night.
There is an enjoyable play area for children situated centrally in the site. We found that the site is on a gentle slope but nothing of any concern.
The site is a very short drive to Mwnt beach which too is beautiful.
All in all can not wait to get back and enjoy the scenery, the peace and the spectacular stars in the night.

Blaenwaun Caravan Park is a lovely park close to mwnt beach which is beautiful and sheltered.
The campsite has good facilities if not minimal showers and toilets for the size of the site ( 3 ladies showers and 2 mens showers) but saying that we visited at the start of the peak season and I never had to queue once for my daily shower.
They have a kettle, toaster and microwave in the laundry room which can be very handy for the no electric camper. The campsite is down a very narrow road. The owners are very friendly and offered help to put my tent up when it was a bit windy.
They have goats and ducks that occasionally wander through the field which are very friendly and the children love to feed, and in the next field along are a donkey and some pigs. I had a very enjoyable 2 weeks at this site and would recommend.

We stayed at this great campsite for 7 nights with 2 adults and 4 children. We arrived on a Thursday and it was lovely and quiet so we had a few days to settle in before it got busy at the weekend with new arrivals. Good size pitches, not cramped at all and well marked out so you know exactly how much space you have been allocated. Electric available.
Very well maintained, shop open 2 hours in morning and evening. They sell their own meat produce and the burgers are to die for. Showers are clean and basic, could do with a couple of hooks but family room is great if you have small children.
Play park is central and good for all ages. Some geese and goats roaming free round the park area at night but were fine with kids. There are laundry facilities but these are quite pricey with a wash being £3 and dryer £1 for 20 minutes. 3 sinks for dish washing which seemed fine, we didn't have to wait.
It was mostly caravans so the few tent campers had the facilities at their disposal. A long walk to the beach, which is well worth a visit however if you have kids I would park (£3 a day) as its a very steep walk back. Small shop at the beach with buckets, spades and ice creams etc.
The rainforest centre is close by which is a good afternoon out, very informative. Cardigan is a 7 minute drive and it has a nice market to walk round, a cinema, a tescos and aldi's etc so no shortage of shops.
The owners were very friendly and laid back. We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend this campsite as it was great value for money. Would warn campers that if you set this campsite into your satnav you will end up in a field 10 miles from reaching the destination so have a back up route planned.

What a great site.
Good price, clean, friendly helpful staff, flat pitches with just enough room, good facilities on site. We have just spent 5 nights there and had a real mix of weather from heavy downpours and high winds to glorious hot summers days. Always something to do in the area, a good base and so close to the sea. We did attempt to walk down the farm track but far too muddy after the rain but only a short drive away and well worth a visit. Such a relaxing holiday and will definitely make a return visit in the future.Only wish it was closer to home otherwise would spend weekends there during school term time.

Had booked to stay at this site for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. Approach to site on very narrow and winding roads. Great for kids, excellent play area. Added bonus of microwave which was frequently used. We were quite lucky with the weather but again, as previous reviews state it is very windy and I felt lucky that our tent hadn't blown away! Beautiful beach at Mwnt but don't attempt to walk with small children, especially after a busy day, it's mostly uphill on the way back. There is car access and parking nearby though. Site is a good base for visiting and would recommend boat trip to see Ramsey Island from St Davids approx 1 hour away. At first glance toilet and showering facilities seemed plentiful but did get very busy. Probably wouldn't go back to this site as there were lots in the area so probably would try elsewhere.
