We had a fantastic time at staying in MWNT despite a mix of weather really. The caravan site was brilliant. We have two small children and all the facilities were great e.G. Swings and toddler wash room. The field was kept to an exceptionally high standard with the owners mowing the grass regularly. The entrance has been concreted so there were no issues with mud etc despite having a good few days of rain. The shop was well stocked and open at allocated times, selling all essentials, local produce and meat. The shower and laundry facilities were exceptional. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly.
Mwnt is a very quiet area but only a stone throw away from Cardigan Town so we had the best of both worlds. Mwnt beach is a must visit, although, don't bother with a buggy if you have kids, just carry them down onto the beach(the steps weren't too bad honestly!). Other must see beaches include Poppit sands, Llangrannog and Tresaith. Llangrannog lovely later on in the day where you can have a stroll along the beach and some food in a choice of 2 or 3 places.
Can't wait to go back.

What a lovely site! Friendly welcoming owners, great facilities, lots of space around each pitch, fantastic views of Cardigan Bay and near some of the best beaches in Wales, also incredibly good value! Blaenwaun ticked all the boxes for 3 generations of my family, my son loved the childrens playground and the duck pond. My mother was over the moon about the clean, bright showers and loos (the showers had constant hot water and were free)and I happily unwound to some amazing sea views every evening. Am in the process of booking to stay again.

This was our first stay on this site and we stopped for 2 weeks.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The toilets were kept clean and the showers were GREAT!
The first weekend was wet and windy which being on top of the cliff wasn't good, the entrance became very muddy, could do with some chippings or something. Soon dried out when the rain stopped. But this didn't spoil our time there.
The children enjoyed the park and it was great for us as being in the middle of the field was easy to keep an eye on them.
The views from the site are fantastic.
The beach is a mile away and if your lucky like us you'll get to see the dolphins.
We look forward to our next stay there.

Originally booked to stay here for 3 nights but only ended up staying the 1 as the weather was torrential rain the week before we arrived and the entrance into the field was really mucky, therefore making it very difficult to go in and out as the top of the field near the exit and toilets was on a slope. This became very slippery even to walk in, I think that as the weather is so unpredictable in this country the campsite would benefit from some chippings over the area to avoid this.
We did read some reviews about it being quite windy on this site and they weren't wrong it blew a gale the night we stayed and many awnings around us suffered this.
The facilities were okay, ladies and men's toilets / showers were clean, launderetteon siteand the shop on was stocked with a variety of necessities. We did venture down the bridal path to the beach at Mwnt which is stunning and we were lucky enough to see the bottle nosed dolphins but I wouldn't say it was in walking distance with a 6 year old, maybe teenagers! We walked back on the road and that was all uphill so still not great with kids. There is a pay & display car park at the top of beach though.
There is not a lot to do around the campsite apart from the park if you have younger children but you are only 10 minutes in the car from main road where there are a few pubs in the direction of Cardigan.
Don't think we will visit here again unless there was something done to stop the mud at the entrance. Unfortunately the weather has never stopped us before but all the muck did spoil it!

This site is very clean. The showers are very hot. The only problem is that there are only two, and also two toilets. Very limited for a site this large. The views over the bay are fantastic, and do not miss a visit to Mwnt Beach. The sighting of Dolphins is easy and they give a great show.

Stayed here for a week. Excellent site. The new shower block is very nice and well kept with hot water day and night. Kids play area is right in the middle of the field. On site shop well stocked. Staff very helpful and friendly. Not really in walking distance to Mwnt beach with 3 young children but 5 mins drive through narrow lane was easy enough. Beach well worth a visit. Cardigan 10 mins drive through country lanes and well worth a visit for a pub lunch and a walk round. A bit further on is Newport. The second turning to the beach will bring you to a nice coffee shop and a rock pool beach which is great for the kids to explore. We also went to the welsh chocolate farm in Pembrokeshire which is well worth a visit (If you love chocolate!). Site had very reasonable rates - £112 for the 5 of us with awning (which nearly blew away when taking it down) and car. Would recommend a visit just for the location. On the downside, very windy. Don't know if this is the same all year but there was a notice saying there are no refunds for inclement weather.

Just returned from 13 days at Blaenwaun Farm, although we were only booked for 10 we kept adding another day. The site was easy to find, just out of Cardigan with fantastic views over Cardigan Bay. We were able to walk to Mwnt on the bridle path and frequently saw dolphins and seals in the bay. The beach was lovely, but a bit of a hike with a kayak in tow! Still we did it a couple of times. The site is nice and open, with great showers etc., kept spotless by the very friendly owners. The weather wasn't brilliant, a bit windy for a day or two and the rain did churn up the entrance a bit. There is a small shop, washing machines and dryers and even a microwave and kettle for the non electric campers. The play area was great and kept the children entertained until bedtime. The area is beautiful, with lots of lovely beaches. Cardigan is a nice little town and there is a Tesco close by. There is plenty to do away from the coast and walks, with tourists well catered for within a short drive of the site. Pitch fees were reasonable, per unit not per person. We would definitely go again, although I would prefer better weather than we have seen this August!

Lovely Site! Very clean all around. New toilet block is good, with very well kept toilets and obviously constantly cleaned, just needed a shelf and possibly a couple more hooks. Glad to see the shop was kept well with basics and good quality meat produced on the farm, liked the idea that when they had custom they stayed open in the busier times, not just sticking to the published opening times. Views were fantastic over looking Cardigan, getting to the beach was a little hike but we managed it. The winding roads getting to the site were scary due to narrowness, thought a few cars were a little wild down them. Due to being on the coast we did have trouble putting the tent up as the wind did get up a bit whilst we were trying to pitch, think maybe a hedge breaking up the areas would assist. Would certainly visit again.

We spent a night here not really knowing what to expect. It is high up on the hill overlooking the sea and is part of a farm. The site has about 30 - 40 statics around the edge of the field which are probably privately owned and are well maintained. There are about 3 'rows' for campers in the middle but we got a pitch next to the hedge (by a power line) as it was so quiet. I suspect the facilities are new - being a very modern construction wooden 'chalet-style' block with clean showers and toilets inside and a separate disabled section which has a drop down seat which could also be useful for bathing children. The shop didn't ever seem to be open so we never managed to freeze our ice packs. The grass was quite long but was being made shorter by a lovely friendly lamb that our little one enjoyed playing with. Dishwashing and laundry facilities are excellent and there was a kettle and microwave for campers use available too. Childrens play area very good and is in the centre of the site. The weather was quite bad when we were there so we decided to only stay for one night but for me it could have been made better by tending to the grass a bit more and the fact that the hot water was off in the ladies whenever I went.

This is a lovely site, the view is amazing and its very quiet although it does get very busy at the weekends. The toilets and showers are basic but there's plenty of free hot water. The shop is well stocked and the owners couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I would recommend this site and we will be going again.
