Wonderful farm shop and cafe. Absolutely do not miss both of them. Expensive but divine. Trust us. Will come back once a month just to visit the butchery. Caravan site okay. Showers adequate but need upgrade. Free wi fi is excellent and very rare. Tight reversing into pitches. The road though is very very noisy together with the in house tractors which seemed constant. All in all it's an okay site.
Nearby for visiting oulton park, northwich, Nantwich etc

Just got home from a great 4 night stay in one of their amazing pods. They are very cosy and clean, the shower block was immaculate and the beds very comfy.
The site is beautiful with a great farm shop and restaurant/ coffee shop.
The shop and restaurant are a bit more expensive than a supermarket, but you get what you pay for. The produce and food in the restaurant was top notch
I will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed here just after Easter, the site was quiet during our stay. The weather was not on our side and the grassed areas were very boggy, glad we had a hardstanding pitch or it could have been awkward to get the van off.
As stated before, the farm shop and cafe are very up-market but nice for a treat, the coffees we had were top class.
The facilities were fine only complaint was that the shower time outs were a bit stingy and hot water in the sinks was a bit hit and miss. There was a power cut in the area which lasted for hours and our battery was running low, however the site had generators brought in to get the pitches back on.
There is an Italian restaurant/pub a 10 minute walk away, very nice surroundings and good service we went on a Wednesday night and it was very busy may need to book in high season, it is part of the Pesto chain and hasn't been open long.
We toured around the area and there is lots to see Castles, Canals, Chester and the Blakemere Craft Centre is close by with quaint shops and a cafe where we had a fantastic breakfast.
The main drawback with this site for us was the noise from both the road and the businesses on site, delivery vans arrive early in the morning and the road outside it very busy during the night. So for that we won't use this site again.

Very clean and well maintained site. Facilities are modern and clean although insufficient for number of pitches. (2 showers, 2 toilets for a site with 40+ pitches).
Premium pitches are spacious with your own hook up, water tap and waste grid, however, avoid pitch 20 or you get every man and his dog walking through your pitch all day and night as a cut through despite the no entry sign.
On arrival, you check in at the farm shop which for me was speedy mad efficient. One thing to consider is that there are no direction signs for caravans so follow the hideaway signs for access to the park.
Onsite shop sells some speciality goods which are superb. Pity they don't sell newspapers and fags although the nearest petrol station is less than a mile and Tarporley is around 2 - 3 miles.
There is a coffee shop / high end cafe on site where the menu is varied and is reasonably priced with good service. All staff across the site are polite and helpful and late check out was not a problem when asked for.
Kids should bring something to occupy themselves as there was no evidence of a play area.
All in all, a good site (if not a little pricey) I paid £82. 50 for 3 nights over the bank holiday.
Lots to do locally, Blakemere Craft Centre is worth a visit and it's only 2 miles from Oulton Park.
Located on a main road so expect traffic noise.

Just return from a weekend at this site. Lovely little site, the farm shop is handy for meat and veg for the bbq (some really nice stuff), and the gift shop is worth a look round.
Toilet and showers nice, modern and clean. Its location is handy for Oulton park, only about 15 minutes from Chester and delamere forest is just up the road which has plenty going on and Go ape.
My only fault was is it was a bit tight reversing and coming off the pitch with caravan on the back. Would visit this site again.

We have just returned from this site after a two night break. Great site! Pitches were big enough for caravan awning and car with room to spare.
There are only 3 toilets and 1 shower in the toilet block which wasn't a problem for us and we didn't have to wait once. Toilets and shower were clean and there is a mop and bucket to clean the floor before and after your shower.
Great farm shop on site. I could have spent a fortune in there. It was a bit pricey but I expect that when the food quality is that good (the meat and olives were lovely) There are bbq's for guests to use although we had our own.
The outdoor seating for the coffee shop was lovely too and it does get quite busy of a weekend (especially if the weather is good) It is set back from the pitches though so you don't feel crowded.
Staff were all really friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again

Pod hire with double bed and tv, was nice but I prefer my tent much more room and no smell of wood, had a plug in radiator and sockets for own kettle. Would be nice in the winter rather than a tent.
Farm shop very very expensive, cafe expensive too.
Toilets and showers clean.
Pods were all facing each other and very close to each other. Would be ok if you were in a group and hired them all out.
Log cabins being built next to the pods looked fab.
Kept waiting in farm shop to hand keys in when stay had ended.

After reading reviews we where expecting better, toilet facilities were OK, not the best we have seen. Only 1 shower in the block plus a separate unisex disabled shower unit.
A light post broken outside toilets, just left on floor. There was a washing machine near the washing up sinks, a dirty sock had been left on the floor near the machine, it was there Friday night and still there Sunday lunch time.
Site was only around half full, which is quite unusual for a site in mid June. No advice given on facilities when booking in.
Quite expensive at £47 for two nights. Pitches are a good size with water and electric.
No pubs within walking distance, quite noisy as directly off the very busy A49. Shop and cafe very nice but as most say expensive.
Sign on roadside for Hollies Caravan Park covered by bushes.

Well we are back again, fourth time this year already. The entire staff team team have worked hard over the last year, ensuring it is as good as always. The New coffee shop is a wonderful addition, although calling it a coffee shop is somewhat understated, as it is a wonderful eating experience. Excellent selection of freshly made sandwiches, real baked spuds, lovely sumptuous cakes, all in a comfortable and stylish, but still relaxing environment.
The entire staff team are always friendly, courteous and very helpful. They maintain an excellent level of service at all times, which means the entire site, facilities, shop, coffee shop, etc are always top notch.
The pitches are very spacious, most well delineated with Low bushes and shrubbery or log pole ranch fencing, giving a feeling of seclusion and privacy, without feeling imprisoned or in a compound.
Nearly all pitches are full serve, (Elec, Water, Grey Water Waste). A Lot have good gravel standings with grassed area to side as well.
Our pitch is wide enough to accommodate the car, caravan, awning and a grassed area all side by side, without being cramped.
The site also benefits from having 'Hideaways' this are like small cabins, that have a sleeping facilities, electric etc. Ideal if friends drop in, and if they wanted to stay over and no room in your van, these can be hired. They are set out in a secluded wood setting, ideal for a friends get together too.
Yes, other people have said things are expensive, but if you compare like quality for like quality, the prices are not much different, but with the added bonus of quality service and environment too, ie The new butchery recently opened in the shop provides some of the best meat I have ever seen and tasted, comes with great advice if you want, and its local, yes it is cheaper in the supermarket, but you couldn't buy this quality from a supermarket, so you shouldn't really compare its price either.
We don't have kids, but other peoples kids seem to enjoy it, although no specific child facilities, there is a spacious open grassed area at front of site for your own activities with your kids.
This site is one of the best gems in this area.

We have stayed at the site twice this year and found it to be really nice with spacious pitches, the pitches we used were both fully serviced with water, grey waste and hook-up. The shop is fabulous, and, as someone else commented it is expensive. You do however get top quality, and wherever you go, that is never cheap. If I had one small negative point to make it would be that there is only one shower in each of two gents facility buildings, and only one chemical disposal point. Other than that we had a lovely stay.
We will be back soon.
