This last weekend (23-26 Apr) was are third visit of the year (one in March and one early April), not bad as the site season starts mid March.
This has always been a good site over the last few years, but the team are not resting on their laurels.
This season they have extended the already good toilet and shower block with two additional disabled access shower and toilet facilities, plus there are now two wash sinks and washing machine under the canopy at the end of the block.
The site continues to be improved, with the addition of more electrics to existing pitches, increased mains water waste drains and stand pipes on some more pitches.
They have also upgraded about 6-8 pitches to provide gravel hardstandings and they continue to add semi mature shrubs around the site.
But with all this work there is very little disruption to the site and they have kept the same number of pitches, which are very spacious, so they are not sacrificing any of the space, only improving what is already a great site.
Yes the shop is pricey, but the produce is excellent. Try one of there home made Steak Pies, under a fiver but superb quality, feeds four easily, but great if only two hungry adults.
There is only one downside to all this improvement, they site is getting well booked up in advance, so plan early, it really is worth it.

We have just spent a weekend at the site, this being our first visit but it will not be our last even though we live just 30 minutes away.
The welcome by the staff was exceptional they all had a smile and a pleasant disposition. The booking in was easy and the price of £33 for the 2 nights was well worth it, for caravan, awning, 4 adults & 2 dogs, Electric Hook Up.
The site is clean & tidy, well laid out with plenty of space between units, the toilet block was clean with a good sized shower, plenty of hot water. The site is just off the main A49 but but the layout of the site and the tall hedges keep the road noise to a minimum.
There is the Cabbage Hall Bar Restaurant is within walking distance, with several other eating places within 3 to 4 minutes drive.
Harringtons Caravan Sales is just 3 minutes drive if you need spares or even if you are considering a new van or motorhome.
Blakemere Visitor Centre is also just a couple of minutes away, enjoy a falconry display or just look around the shops. The site is ideal if you want to visit Winsford, Northwich or Chester.

Our visit was towards the end of the season and the site was very quiet (only three or four vans in total), except when we were treated to a firework display from the adjacent polo club. The site is well maintained, very clean, level and spacious. My only criticism would be that there does not seem to be any particular organisation of the site, as we had to go and search out someone to verify our booking, and take payment. Oh yes, the shop was quite pricey.

We have been using this site for many years now and it just keeps on getting better and better.
It has just a major renovation and it looks fabulous.
All pitches are private and very spacious with enough room for your car, awning and extra space for relaxing in the sun.
The toilet and shower block is brand new and comfortable and clean. The site is clean nicely landscaped and also has good amenities such as on site farm shop and smoothies cafe bar.
There is also some good restaurants and local pubs close by which serves good traditional food.
I recommend this caravan site to everyone

After fifteen years of visiting this beautiful site we have found the ideal location for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. Situated close to the lovely Delemere forest. Perfect for walking, cycling and bird watching in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. The site itself has been extensively updated yet it has still kept its relaxed friendly nature. The site has had new toilet and shower blocks, The pitches are large and easily fit caravan, awning and your car. Some of them are service pitches. The family and staff on the site are very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to many more years of enjoyable holidays at The Hollies.

Used this site for 4 weekends in July/ August.
Yes it is near the A49, but the pitches are set back behind mature trees, so a most of the noise is unheard.
The staff are very helpful, the shop is full of goodies, but is pricey on the luxuries, but the basic veg fruit etc is nearly all local, really good value and top notch quality. There are new toilet and shower block now open, these are clean and spacious. Yes they are still adding to them but this will only make a good site better.
The pitches are huge and most have nice log dividing fences that make it clear where you start and finish. The last pitch we used you could get the van, a large awning, 10ft of windbreak space for the dog and the car all side by side.
All in all a nice place to get away for a few days.
Yes Oulton park is nearby and when on you can hear the races, but they are not on every day, but if they are, go and have a visit its a good day out.
There is a polo field across the lane, where you can watch for free when its on, good relaxing time.
There are three types of pitches available, Electric + Water + Water waste. Electric only and unserviced.
All are of similar huge size, but the water, waste and elsan points are easily accessible for unserviced pitches.
The site does have open space for play, but I would recommend this as a site for adults to go chill and relax.
Will be back again shortly.

My wife and I have stayed on this site for the last two months. It has been extensively refurbished including some fully serviced pitches. All the pitches have been doubled in size , with a good electrical supply, and giving ample room for even the largest of outfits including RV's. A new heated toilet and shower block has been built to replace the old one with nice landscaping and flowers from the new garden centre. Although the A49 and Oulton Park are close by we have not found the noise to be intrusive. The onsite farm shop has plenty of mouthwatering goodies for all ages from local and regional suppliers, very handy. The closest pub The Cabbage Hall is now a restaurant but there are other pubs farly close by. The owners and staff are very helpful and we have enjoyed our extended stay. We believe further improvements are planned for the winter months so we will be interested to see what they are when we return next summer.

Stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend, we nearly missed the entrance despite reading the previous review - it's just past the polo club on the right. Pitched at the back of the site to avoid noise from the road but on the Sunday and Monday you could hear the noise from the motorbikes at Oulton Park. Winsford and Northwich are of equal distance away and they both have major supermarkets. Would stay here again for a quiet break.

We stayed at The Hollies for two nights in August. The site is well located for touring the area. Its well laid out, but I recommend you go for the far end of the site as the busy A49 can be noisy. Site facilities are 2 toilets and 1 shower for each sex, no kids play area. Water tap and toilet disposal point. The site is part of a garden centre and I have to say that its a bit of a building site. On my walk to the toilet block I passed stacks of pallets, old tyres etc etc. Its a bit of a mess. The toilets could have done with a damn good clean. The sink looked like a coal miner had washed his hands in it, and I did my test where I left a length of toilet paper on the floor on day one - It was still there on day 3 when we left. So, in summary - Good location, expensive at £13 per night considering the facilities, and needs a good clean up to make it worth while.

Be careful not to miss the site entrance which is on the A49 do not assume that the site is in Little Budworth village. Site is well laid out in two level individual screened rows complete with electric hook ups. There is also a large rally field which is excellent for kids ball games etc if not being used. Facilities basic but clean (1 shower - Gents, 1 shower Ladies). The farm shop has everything you could want at reasonable prices alongside a decent Garden Center. We spent 4 nights at the Hollies over the spring bank weekend visiting Oulton Park racing circuit (very close by) and Chester Zoo, 10 miles or so. Can definitely recommend for stop over or as we did, long weekend to visit racing circuit and local attractions. Nearest town would be Winsford (5 miles or so) with Fish n Chips, Chinese and Indian take aways and super markets etc. In Little Budworth there is a couple of pubs which serve bar meals into the evening.
