Third year of coming to this lovely site. Family of 5: 2 adults plus 3 girls aged 8, 13, 15 plus a dog this time. Having been here the previous 2 years, our girls wanted to come back for a fortnight this year rather than move sites - they love it. Very quiet and peaceful, but with a nice playground for younger children to meet up with new friends. Pool is a real attraction for the children - they are less sensitive to the temperature than us adults, but it is well maintained and the pool roof makes it usable in all weathers. The field is very well kept - easy to pitch onto, and regularly mown (the grass cuttings are collected so you don't get too many grass clippings trodden into the tent). Facilities perfectly fine - 40p for a shower, and they are all very clean. Basic shop has bare essentials. Very nice base for exploring South Anglesey - Newborough forest & beach are excellent. We did some lovely cycle rides from here (look for the traffic-free routes) and also walks with the dog around local lanes and footpaths. Will be back next year!

Very nice and clean site. Tents at one site and caravans at the other. Easy to get to, and easy to check in and get settled.
Good grassed stands and although on a main road were not much troubled by the noise as not much goes past after 10pm.
There is a dog walking pitch just remember the poo bags.
20 p per shower in a slightly dated block which is separated into men and women's sides.
Would like to go back at some stage.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and tidy. Good pitch with lawn. Showers never dirty, but warm at 20p per shower but it's ample time-6mins. Rubbish recycled, what a difference. Quiet at night and easy to get to. Would go back again. Great gardens, swimming pool and kids play area, all in good order. Not much in the way of shops near by, but LLanfair, the place with the long name, is not too far, where there is a co op. Didn't see or go to any pubs, but we had our own supply for a restful evening on site. Nearest beach is pebbled but has great views of Snowdonia and Canarfon.

A really great camp site for families with young children.
Safe, clean and friendly. Good facilities - the pool is a real bonus, and the children's play area is well maintained.
Tents are one side of the site. Good drainage for when it rains. Caravans are on the other side.
Excellent beach very close by and excellent views across to Snowdonia.
Decent shops not too far away.
Been here twice and will come again. Loads to do on Anglesey and in North Wales for families and Fron is the perfect location to be based.

Just spent 3 nights at Fron. The park is very well set out and very neat and tidy, 100% flat pitches.
The pool is clean, a bit cold but soon warmed up. If you like rules then this is the place to be, a sign for everything. If you want peace and quiet and no rowdiness then you'll appreciate Fron. Some of the guests have been going there for years. Toilets and showers very clean and better than most we've seen over the years. ****.

We spent 4 nights here, me, husband and our children aged 9 and 7.
We were shown all the facilities and pitch upon arrival by Mark. Cars are kept away from pitches unless you are loading or unloading, good idea! Ample room for our 8 berth tent.
Tents are in the front field and caravans are in the back field with their own toilet/shower facilities.
Toilet and shower facilities are kept immaculate, showers were hot, 20p for 6 mins. Hairdryer also 20p.
Play park for children, though this got quite busy at times. There is also a non-heated swimming pool which is open in the afternoons. We didn't get chance to use the pool.
Washing up facilities indoors and there is use of a washing machine. There is also a shop on site for essentials, milk etc, open first thing in the morning and later on. Also dog walking area on site which is fenced off.
Great base for exploring Anglesey. We visited South Stack Lighthouse on one day which was great, nice cafe at the top. On way back found some lovely beaches if you head towards Trearddur Bay. Also great beach at Newborough, right next to a forest so fab for walks or cycling.
Bangor a few miles away, has Morrisons, Asda, Aldi and Lidl. Also a Waitrose on the Anglesey side of the Menai Bridge.
Really great site and would recommend. We will be returning at some point.

Have just spent a lovley weekend with my husband and 2 boys aged 8 & 3.
This site is lovely. Small but perfectly formed. Don't be put off by all the do's & don't's on the web site, it still feels like a very relaxed family rum site.
The owners are lovley and very helpful. The sounding views are beautiful. The site is situated close to some beautiful beaches and we had lovely views looking out towards main land.
The tent area is well laid out, plenty of space between pitches though I wouldn't like to be pitched near the road allthough it isn't a main road and it did go quiet at night.
The play area & swimming pool where a added bonuses for the children.
The toilets & washing area where clean but basic and could do with a bit of updating.
Would return to this little site next time we are exploring Anglesey.

Lovely, quiet, well run campsite. We stayed right at the start of the peak season so were pleasantly surprised how peaceful the site was even though it was relatively busy.
Better to take a pitch away from the road (although it is still a quiet road). The site behind their house for caravans was particularly tranquil.
Outdoor pool opens in the afternoons but again, nice and quiet.
Just 10 mins drive from the beautiful Newborough Warren beach.
Would return :-)

Headed here for one night after terrible weather put paid to our plans to camp in the mountains. Seemed like a friendly, well-run site with good facilities, but pricey (£18. 50 for a tent for one night).
The lady who took us to our pitch was very helpful in finding us somewhere sheltered on what was forecast to be a wet and windy night. Showers and toilets were modern and clean. Hot water on tap. It was a bit annoying to have to pay 40p for a shower when site fees were already high.
I wasn't with my son this time, but I'm sure he would have loved the play area. This was closed at night, but I did notice it was still roped off when we left in the morning, near to 10am. I thought this was a bit late. There's a swimming pool on site, which we didn't get to visit as the lady was closing it just after we arrived, around 6pm. I would have thought this would be a popular time to have a swim, after you've got back from a day out.
Anglesey is a beautiful place to visit, and this site is on the way down to Newborough, where this a fantastic beach, views over the Menai Strait to Snowdonia and walks out to a semi-island.

Found this gem on the camp search engine and what a find. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. We were met at reception and shown all of the facilities the people couldn't be more helpful.
The facilities are spotless the showers nice and hot
Everything was immaculate.
Nice play park for the kids on the tent side. Great paddock for the dogs all enclosed which was a bonus.
Stunning scenery from both sides of the campsite snowdon/rolling fields of anglesey. All in all deserving of the 5 stars. And if you are partial to chinese food The jade village in menai bridge is probably the best chinese I have ever had and ive been going there a few years its a restaurant and take away.
