What a great site, the pitching area's for tents as you arrive are immaculate and level, we took our shoes and socks off to walk on it. The facilities are in need of an update but are clean and usable.
The rules are reasonable and maintained. Barbecues allowed with use of freely supplied blocks to raise off grass. Children's play area is good and safe.
I will put a warning out to all about the pool though, it is very clean and looked after but even I was surprised at the depth of the shallow end, certainly deeper than most so make sure your little ones have arm bands etc and are supervised by an adult.
Beautiful views of Snowdonia. All in all an excellent site and I will be rebooking in 2011.

I think a few of the previous reviews are a tad harsh. This is a lovely family friendly site. Showers were spot on, as hot as needed to be, pool times are clearly stated 1.30 till 6.30, park is great for the kids and Mark couldn't do enough for us, I would recommend this site to any one with small children, its a great site for families and couples, great location and a fab beach in Newborough 5 mins drive away.

As per all the previous reviews the site itself is maintained immaculately. However the showers are by far the worst performing ever encountered. They simply don't get anywhere warm enough to use.
The welcome from the owners son Mark was the most informed I have ever had, and he walked and talked us around brilliantly.
The tent field was fairly flat but the caravan field looked like you needed chocks.

We have just arrived back from a 4 day stay at this site. The camping site is split in to two areas one in front of the children’s play area and one adjacent to it. The site is very clean and well organised. The play area closes at around 9 pm the park owner enforces this. This site caters for families with small children. Young adults/ teenagers would become bored very quickly, the swimming pool is non entity due to sporadic opening times and lack of space. The showers and toilet facilities are kept very clean however I would prefer to pay 40p for a hot shower than 20p for a cold one.
If you are looking for a very clean site with adequate facilities suitable for youngsters (or couples) then I would recommend it, also try the bacon from the site shop (delicious) the rules on this site help to keep the site in check and I believe benefit everyone, the owners of this site care.

What a great site, we are a family of 4 2a & 2c, I was a bit concerned regarding the previous reviews regarding the rules, but I can happily say that the rules are fair and we had no reason to question anything that the rules covered.
We were welcomed by both owners, everything regarding facilities clearly exlained, showed to our pitch, and left to it. The site was very clean and well maintained, the park was great 'according to the kids' having the cover on the Pool great idea as it lashed it down when we went in, we had good fun in the pool with the kids. Tent area to the front on the site level, the caravan/camper van area to the rear of the site is sloping but nothing your leveling blocks wouldn't cope with, but there is some hardstanding pitches avaliable.
All in all great site defo give it a go if your willing to respect their site and your fellow campers.

Really lovely site, very clean and well maintained. Toilets and showers very clean. Really impressed with this site and have booked to return again.
Swimming pool rather chilly but this didn't stop my son enjoying it!
Indian take away in the village is definitely worth a try, very good.
On the whole really enjoyed the break and would recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet, well maintained family site.

We have just returned back from a quick week end trip to Fron. On arrival you notice how well kept and tidy the site is. All pitches are level and ample space to accommodate your tent cars are park separate to tent area which is great it stops the grass becoming churned up. We camped close to the play area which was ideal for us to keep our eye on our little 5 year old. The shop was great to keep sweet loving kids happy and to get the essentials if you run out. The owners were very helpful and pleasant and showed us around the facilities. My son and husband ventured in to the pool which was a little cold but occupies the little ones. Toilet areas I must say were immaculate all the time we were there (the best one we've been to up to now I would go as far to say) Showers 20p plenty of time to wash your hair and hairdryer 20p and again too lasted for a long to would go back again and recommend it to anyone.

Have just returned after spending 4 nights on this site over the Bank Holiday weekend. This was our first time on the site and found the owners to be very friendly and helpful. The site has a small shop which is not always open but the staff opened up specially so that my wife could buy water wings for our daughter to use in the pool. The shop has a very basic stock but does sell sweets and some toys for children.
The site is equipped with a small swimming pool which has an opening cover but is unheated, owners warned me about this and they weren't wrong, very cold but still the children enjoyed it and it was kept clean. During cooler weather the roof was left closed which meant that it warmed up inside.
Toilets were always spotless and I never had to queue, there is a trick to using the showers to get hot water.
Childrens play area is at the front of the site in the camping field but as there is very little traffic I felt quite safe letting our children play there unsupervised.
I have noticed in some other reviews that the reviewers feel that there are too many rules, I feel that I have to disagree, the rules that are in place are common sense to keep the site tidy and running and also to ensure that everyone using the site can enjoy their time there.
The caravan field is on a slope so it helps to have some chocks and blocks to support the corner stays and jockey wheel but apart from this I can't fault the site, plenty of electric hook ups which if used sensibly won't trip out. There is one drinking water tap which is located in the middle of the field and one combined waste water and toilet disposal point in the toilet block at the top of the caravan field.
One word of caution though, the entrance to the site is through a very narrow gate which nearly caught me out, keep wide and slow.
As with most sites on Anglesey you do need a car to enjoy the attractions which the island has to offer, the island is bigger than it appears.
We enjoyed this site enough that we have just booked another 10 nights in the summer.

Superb, just spent Easter weekend at the site at quite short notice and couldn't ask for a better site.
It's quiet enough to sit there and chill out for the afternoon even with the kids playing on the park. Owners went out of their way to be helpful, showed us where to pitch and even advised us about the prevailing winds for pitching. Didn't really see much of the villages night life but it looked nice and peaceful.
Make sure you have most of the things you need as there is only a spar shop in the village and it does not have much.
Definitely going back again, it's a gem of a site!

I thought this site was wonderful, the kids loved it. A park and a swimming pool on site, the facilities were spotless, but as mentioned the showers were only a warm trickle, but adequate to have a wash in.
A shop on site selling the basics.
The owner gives you a brief tour of the site, and tells you the rules (which were all for the enjoyment of everyone)
Plenty to do in the area, but I would say a car is needed.
Would give this site 8/10
