My family and I have just spent a weekend at this campsite and had a lovely time. The washing and showering facilities were clean, tidy and easily accessible. We were greeted in an efficient and friendly manner and shown our pitch. The caravan area was nicely spaced out and we didn't feel overcrowded in anyway. The views from the site were beautiful and we could see the mountain range and also the sea, so very beautiful. Thank you for a great weekend.

A beautiful little site. We stayed for Easter and the following week. We had two pitches, one for our daughter and family. The views are stupendous both over the Snowdon mountain range and over Lligwy bay. Truly the loveliest spot on Anglesey.
The field is being improved all of the time, there were new roads and new hard standing areas. The road system around the site is excellent and makes it safe for children to play. Everyone with dogs, bar one caravan that is, kept them on leads and under control, they picked up the dog muck. The one caravan who didn't let their two small dogs roam around their particular field at will, dirtying as they went. I am sure once the owner becomes aware of the situation he will deal with it accordingly.
The toilet block is a portacabin in the field, but it is well organised and spotlessly clean. The front has been clad in wood to look part of the scenery. The only down side it is so very very cold, it really could do with being heated. The site is at the top of a hill and it can be blowy and cold so you could do with a nice warm ablutions block. The dishwashing and laundry facilities are adequate. The washer and dryer look new and there are two sinks and drainers for dish washing housed in a plastic outbuilding and kept clean.
Overall the site is well presented, clean and tidy with brilliant views.

Wonderful location although access to field a little tricky. Basic facilities available, adequate and spotless.
Long list of rules and regulations most of which were common sense.
Small pitches, so with a mixture of caravans, tents and parked cars views were spoilt and led to a feeling of being hemmed in.
As we discovered Anglesey has dozens of campsites and we would definitely not stay here again preferring a more friendly and welcoming base for a holiday.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 children stayed on this site in June 2012 and had a wonderful time. The site has a lovely relaxed and friendly feel and the owners Stan and Ellen go above and beyond the duties of camp site owners, they are 2 of the best people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
The site has a dish washing/laundry room which were exceptionally clean and have a new washing machine and drier. The toilets and showers are in a portable cabin and are kept spotlessly clean.
The site has animals all around including llamas, donkeys, pigs, chickens, goats and horses and a couple of lovely peacocks wandering around which keep you entertained for hours.
The site feels very secure as you have to swipe a card in order to enter and exit the site and there is cctv. The rules stated are common sense and are to keep all the children safe (not advisable to have wild animals walking round loose with children) and to make it a comfortable site for all who stay on it.
A wonderful place to recharge your batteries away from the hustle and bustle of your normal everyday life.
Definitely recommended.

Stayed on this site June 2012 for a long weekend. Field we were in only had 1 other caravan on it so really quite.
Laundry and pot washing facilities were fine. Showers were in a portable cabin but kept very clean, there were a couple of hooks to put things on but little else in the changing space. Shower head was ceiling fixed which is always difficult when you are not very tall, water temperature was also fixed so not as hot as would have liked. Showers were included in the pitch fees which were very expensive in comparison to other sites and facilities.
The entrance to the site was quite tight to get into with the caravan when using the one way system, the turning roundabout was also quite tight, I nearly took the direction post out on 2 occasions.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately having gone away for peace, quiet and tranquillity we dropped unluckily on grass cutting Saturday so from early morning there was constant strimming followed by hand mowing. Imagine our disappointment to return at 4pm to have a ride on mower constantly buzzing around our caravan. I know maintenance has to be done but it did spoil things for us.
Peacocks roaming site are very charming, they are quite friendly with one sitting on top of our caravan obviously to enjoy an interrupted view of the sea!
Enjoyed our stay but would choose a different site if visiting Anglesey again.

We visited this site in August 2011 with our two children. Our pitch was a good size allowing us to park our car next to our large trailer tent and we had wonderful views of the sea one side and the mountains the other.
We had to buzz in to get into the site on arrival and was then issued a card to get in and out of the gate, but having children we quite liked this feature as it made the site feel much safer.
The toilets and shower blocks were in a portacabin but were all very clean, we seen them being cleaned and mopped twice a day. There was an indoor dishwashing area which was clean and tidy. There was a washer and drier available for us to use at a small cost if we needed it (but we never did).
The kids really enjoyed looking at all the animals and we could hear when it was breakfast time for them all especially the goat near the back of our tent but we were usually up and about by then anyway so didn't mind. Its a shame the children cant be interactive with some of the animals like helping to feed them.
The site would benefit from a small play area/park for children to play on as there is no activities for children on the site, but there is a small cafe within walking distance with a play area which is only open until 3pm. It would also benefit from a small on site shop selling bread, milk and eggs etc.
The rules some other reviews have mentioned are not unreasonable, they keep the site clean and tidy for others and are the same/similar from other sites we have stayed at.
They had a staff member staying on the site who was very friendly, checked we had everything we needed when we first arrived and set up and in bad weather on our last day offered to help putting our tent down if we needed it. We also saw him helping others on the site.
Overall it was a nice quiet campsite and the staff were all friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We would return to this site in the future if we were camping in the area again.

Decided to camp in Anglesey at very very short notice and to be honest, ended up here as it was the only place with space. After reading the reviews we were a bit worried but it was actually okay - for the most part.
PROS
Stan and Ellen who run the site were absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.
Showers and toilets were extremely clean.
Some pitches had sea views.
Clean pot washing area/laundry room.
Short walk to the welcoming Pilot Boat pub with great food and fun play bus (real double decker bus) for the kids.
Secure site with CCTV and gated, pass carded entrance.
Quiet campers when we were there.
Animals and birds for kids to make friends with.
Local attraction leaflets and tourist info available.
CONS
£28 per night for a 4 man tent with EHU which we thought was expensive for this campsite.
Site very high and so very windy - difficult for us to cook!
Pitches sloping so every morning we woke up squashed against the wall of the tent.
Notices up everywhere to let you know the camp rules. Most of these were common sense to campers anyway - even asking you to check the toilet bowl after you had had a poo to make sure it was clean!
Showers were 50p for 4 minutes.
Very old washer and tumble dryer which cost £4.
£15 deposit for a keycard to open gate.
Animals and birds behind high fences - not very child friendly.
Very narrow steep track leading to campsite.
Apart from the pub, no facilities eg, shop within walking distance, so a drive everywhere.
If you really need to stay somewhere at short notice then this campsite is fine but there are plenty of others on the island with better facilities, location or attractions. This wasn't an unpleasant experience but would we go back? No.

This is a tidy site, it is windy, The owners were very pleasant and helpful,
The toilets/showers were in a potacabin nothing special but were kept clean,
The views from the site were very nice, It has donkeys Llamas chickens an old horse and other animals the kids enjoyed watching them.
The price was very expensive @£27 per night plus 50p for showers, No play area for the kids.
Our opinion was it was not worth it. I would say it is more like half hour walk to the beach.
There were shops in Benlech for food etc. We will not be going back mainly due to the price,

Learned two things from our stay here:If the site still has vacancies for a bank holiday only 5 days before, there is a reason. If the camp website only shows photos of their animals & not the facilities, there is a reason!
The location & views are great, & we didn't mind the rules posted up all over. Saw rat running between farmhouse & animal enclosure but probably inevitable with amount of animal feed about. Didn't see any rats in camping field.
The primitive shower portacabin was spotlessly clean but far too distant from the tents in both low & high meadows. The unisex cement hut with 3 toilets in the low meadow field was also very clean but only cold water to wash hands & no electricity even though elec was available to campers in same field, & it was still a long way from the High meadow.
The toilets wouldn't flush as in constant use over bank holiday. The grass was very long & I think the High meadow hadn't been used for months as loads of insects came out of the water taps before we could get any water.
The dog exercise area was nearer facilities, was mowed, level & had great sea views so I don't know why tents couldn't go there & the owner could fence off part of High Meadow for the dog area instead.
No play area for kids, & animals not tame so kept away from humans. Could be a great site with a bit of investment. Stayed 4 nights but couldn't have coped longer, although it was nice & quiet.
Can't recommend for tents as facilities not up to standard or near enough. Maybe caravans fare better, they were kept at the other side of the site.

We travelled to Anglesey to spend a few days with our children and friends. After a 2 hour journey we were all desperate for the loo so eagerly buzzed at the barrier to be allowed in. Sadly we were told they were having their lunch and would have to return in half an hour.I was gobsmacked! Consequently we were forced to reverse our unit down the narrow lane back onto the road, causing all kinds of obstruction until the clock chimed 2pm. We were shown to a pitch up a slope which wasn't ideal and we had considerable trouble trying to reverse our camper onto it. Finally a member of staff was summoned who did place the camper on the pitch albeit at an angle but we just left it at that.
The showers cost 50p for 4 minutes, way too much as the block was decrepit, dirty and strangely bears the sign 'Staff Only' which made us wonder what was going on?
Unfortunately, as this could be such a lovely spot, we found the whole ethos of the site to be very inhospitable, nobody wished us a nice visit, the extensive list of camp rules given at our arrival did not state where any facilities were located ie waste disposal, nearest shop etc. The rules really are in your face all of the time, it made us feel they didn't want us there.
A couple of issues of greater importance were that we were told to pour our chemical toilet waste down the grey water disposal, all of the fences had barbed wire edging making us repeatedly tell the children to watch out!
All in all we found this site to be strict, anti customer and very expensive. Would we go back? No.
