Visited this site in May, the site is secure and in a pleasant spot, the grass was a bit long on our pitch and because we pitched our awning in the rain the ground never really dried out.
You have to give a £15. 00 deposit and sign to accept a copy of the Site Rules, it said in the rules that they should be strictly observed or you would be fined (spelt 'find'), basically if you have children tie them to the caravan so that they don't make a noise, play football, play any ball games, ride bikes, ride scooters, play music etc etc etc. These rules were absolutely ridiculous and spoilt our children's' holiday.
The staff collect your toilet and dirty water every morning empty them and bring them back, they do not flush them out though as there were always solids left in the toilet waste.
This could be a nice site if it wasn't for all the rules

Visited this site Easter Bank holiday. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the site not too busy. The view from our pitch was amazing. There is a charge of 50p for 5mins for the showers , though the toilet and shower facilities are clean they are still in a portacabin. Our pitch size was rather small, could not even park your car next to your tent in between you and the next pitch. Will probably go back again, if only for it's location and views.

We have just returned from a 5 day stay here, 2 adults, 2 children (7 and 4) and a dog. We were very lucky to have a wonderful sea view from our pitch. The pitch was an excellent size for our huge trailer tent. The owners of this site are fantastic and can't do enough to help.
There is an incline on the lane leading up to the site, but if I can make it up there, anyone can! The showers and toilets were spotless - the toilets even have child seats in the toilet lids! Showers are 50p for 5 mins which was perfect for us.
This site is a no frills site - traditional camping at its best! It was so quiet, it was wonderful. The children weren't at all worried by the lack of a play area - they liked to go and see the different animals that are kept there instead.
Lligwy beach is 5 mins drive away, perfect sand, a cafe and parking was £2.50 for the whole day! Fish and chips from Benllech, Asda a 15 min drive away, and like others, don't forget to visit the Pilot Inn with the play bus! We will definitely return - even our terrible camping neighbours can't put us off this site!

We unfortunately arrived to it pouring down but some kindly caravanners assisted in us with erecting our tent. We settled into the night without further rain and a pleasant peaceful evening. That however was the first and last one.
As soon as other people started to arrive it grew more and more noisy, children running and screaming everywhere and in the evening the people in the accompanying 'camping and caravan club' field were awake until gone 1am for 2 nights partying loudly.
The owners were as friendly as ever but seemed sloppy stern with keeping to their rules, reprimanding anyone over the 5mph speed limit but allowing cricket to be played alongside cars and people to be noisy until well after midnight.
The constant gaggle of the geese in the field behind us woke us continually through the night, we needed to come home to rest!. The view was lovely though but a little information about the local area would have been beneficial, we found out the closeness of of the beach, villages etc ourselves.
The toilets and showers however were clean but we weren't keen on the 50p charge for 5 mins. All in all we probably shouldnt have gone in school holidays as we like the quiet of camping but we didn't expect the partying until all hours. Not our favourite holiday I'm afraid.

Have just spent 4 days at Fedw Uchaf and only came home due to adverse weather.
We were the only campers on the site, we arrived early but they let us pitch.
They were working on showers during our visit but they offered us use of a static caravan for a shower.
Site is well maintained and clean.
Facilities could do with slight changes (eg mop and bucket so you can mop floor after shower) and more hooks for hanging clothing whilst showering.
These are minor changes. We liked the site and the views from various parts of site are stunning.
O/H says that on a previous review someone mentioned the number of rules - not many more than other sites it's just that are a bit more in your face that's all.
Recommend chip shop in Benllech and a visit to beach at Newborough - 20 miles or so from site but well worth a visit.
Mind you all beaches we visited in Anglesey were stunning BUT Newborough even more so.

Just spent a week here and we were pleasantly surprised, as we had rang over 30 camp sites that were full and these still had spaces so we were a little dubious as to what we were getting.
Before we arrived we were unfortunate enough to have a car accident, so therefore went from our 3 litre 4x4 towing our van to a 2.2estate, this gave us a little problem getting up the drive to Fedw Uchaf as we got stuck (in dry weather) As soon as we got stuck the owners were there to un hook us and tow us to our pitch.
Stan and Ellen were extremely helpful and always greeted us with a wave. They keep the site immaculately clean and the animals are brilliant for the kids.
Pitches in our field were great, well laid out and not cramped at all.
The facilities are good, although the showers were a little unpredictable, hot then cold, hot then cold!
The surrounding area was lovely and it was only a short drive from the beach, we walked to the local pub which took us about 20 minutes with 2 small children. The food was good here, even if it did take over an hour! I cant remember the name of the pub.
Moelfre is definitely worth a visit, nothing here but a lovely day at the beach.
Like I say a site definitely worth a visit and we will certainly be returning.

Beautiful views from the campsite down towards the beach.
This was unfortunately all that was going for it. No hot water for washing up or showers, only luke warm.
We were lucky in that we were one of 2 tents and a caravan that was in the park, so the facilities were luckily not busy. I do not think the single portable cabin /container conversion for the toilet / shower facilities would cope too well if the site was very busy.
I don't like been negative, but we were put right next to the toilet/shower block and the animals. Peacocks and Emu started voicing their opinions at 3am every morning, and when you are in a tent 2 meters away it is loud!
We did think about moving, but that would've taken up another couple of hours the next day, so we decided to stay where we were.
Would be good to have hedges of some sort between sites to try break up wind and offer some protection from wind. I know it's on a hill with great views, but we have been to other campsites on hills where there are windbreak hedges.
Not too pleased!

We had 3 nights at this site, bank holiday late booking and I can see why they were the only site in Angelsey with spaces!
They do love their rules, and you are made to sign to say you have read and understood! The animals they boast about on the website are all behind 8ft wire mesh.
Site is nothing special for the price and the toilet block is a tired old portacabin. But our main gripe is they wanted 50p for the shower and you got 5min.

Site is spotless with a selection of amimals to see. Easy to find just a bit out the way but only 10 mins by car to the shop at benllech. Fabulous view of lligwy beach.
Pitching around the perimeter which is fab for the kids (& big kids) to play but very slopey and uneven. Shower block located in the first field were spotless but were freezing! Would rather pay 50p for a reasonable one.
The toilet cabin in the second field are unisex, totally disagree! Rules and regs bit strict.W e as a family enjoy a good get together but 'no noise after 10' rule which wasn't adhered to on the first field (right by the owners house)
Overall I enjoyed it but some members of the family weren't too keen. Also bit pricey for what you get. Be careful which way to the beach you go as we went right out of the lane down lligwy beach road (4hrs later we arrived back) you need to go left.

Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend, great site, great views. We used our own toilet and shower, but had a look at the site facilities, which was a portable cabin, they seemed ok,
Pitches were quite uneven, access would have been impossible with a large caravan had they not had another field in which to turn round in.
It was a very short drive to the beach, which is beautiful, our son and dogs loved it, had great weather which makes the weekend, would return.
