We stayed over August Bank Holiday weekend in a large tent. On booking, I explained that my tent was very big so I was told to book 2 pitches together. To be fair, the space we had was massive, but I was charged £30 a night!
There are great views from this campsite and when the weather's nice, its a lovely area. Its quite exposed on the side of a hill and on the Saturday and Sunday night it was so windy that I was worried the tent was coming down.
With the heavy rain the ground got so churned up that we were helping to push cars out of the mud. Definitely take your wellies.
I would reiterate what the other reviews say about the facilities. They were terrible, not enough for the number of people staying and quite dirty. They are using an old caravan while waiting for planning permission which was really damp and grotty.
To be fair, they did get cleaned and toilet roll re-stocked etc, but there were just too many people using them.
There's no play area or anything but the kids did like the llamas, goats, donkeys who were in the field next to our tent.
The owners are very nice and chatty but I'm glad I didn't bring a dog. They don't seem to keen on them, maybe because they have so many animals of their own (there was a HUGE Dobermann guarding the office when I went to pay!)
I would stay here again but only for a short time when I could live without taking a shower.
Hopefully it will improve when their new block is built.

We returned here for a brief camping trip with the kids before they went back to school. Once again, we were given a fantastic welcome, especially so, considering we had not booked in advance. We feel very at home here, and would certainly recommend Fedw Uchaf for anyone, espcially families. Though the site was very busy that weekend, we had no problems with the toilets or showers or washing up place. They were all spotless, despite the mud from alot of rain outside. Nobody could be more welcoming ! Thanks for another great time !

A group of 15 adults stayed for 2 nights over a weekend. We had taken part in a 500 mile road trip which we organise every year and this site was our final stop.
On booking I did advise that we were a large group of adults (with 2 dogs) and would probably be quite loud so requested to be situated on their rally field so as not to be a nuisance to other guests with young families.
On arrival, we were shown to the field directly next to the main house (not the CC field opposite the house) and advised to pitch wherever we wanted. There were already 4 family tents and a caravan with young children in the field which did concern me as I had booked the rally field as advertised on their website.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and offered us an electric hookup cable as we had not managed to buy one in time but we decided it wouldnt be needed. We were close to the toilet facilities which were very basic but this did not really bother us too much. The site has some lovely views on a clear day and thankfully we picked the best weekend to stay as we all went home sunburnt after spending Sunday on the beach. The beach is about a 5 minute drive from the site down a narrow lane with very few passing points so I imagine that can be a problem in high season.
The site was not heavily booked during our stay but as I mentioned, we were surrounded by family tents and the owner did pay us a visit at about 8PM on the first night to advise that there had been a complaint about us which I had a feeling there would be but we immediately toned it down and on both nights we had called it a day by 10.30PM so no noise from us! One family even thanked us for making their weekend more entertaining!
On the whole we had a great stay - dogs loved it, BBQ both nights, copious amounts of drink and laughter and very accommodating site owners despite our noise levels on the first evening of our stay. The only downside was the lack of the rally facilities which we had been expecting.

We booked this site due to the excellent reviews on here. We stayed over the bank holiday period. Obviously being a Bank Holiday, it is going to be busy. On arrival, I was told that there are over 300 people staying on the site and not to expect to get a shower!
We were told to go to the 'meadow' - which happened to be the the furthest field away and to pitch anywhere. I was told the toilets and showers were down a path near the house and our nearest toilets were in the field down from us.
It took a while to put the tent up due to the strong winds, but persevered! A trip to our nearest toilets was an experience - a few portaloos for 2 very large fields. These were dirty and unpleasant.
I then thought I'd rather go to the main toilet block. This consisted of an old dirty caravan with 2 toilets and one shower. It was very cramped and not clean.
They did not have a shop or any play facilities (but to be fair I knew this)
We did not sleep due to the constant high winds for the 3 night duration and cancelled our other 4 night stay at another campsite in Anglesey due to the high wind situation (sites not to blame).

Stayed 3 nights at this site, weather didn't help as very wet /windy. Loos very basic and not very clean while we were there, broken lock in gents portable loos in the one field, smelly and no water to flush them on the fri night. But the area and views take some beating,

Hi to all our campers. As you can see from our previous reviews we do our best to help in anyway we can, and we do make a point of stopping bad behaviour, but come 11pm we also need to sleep but will continue keeping things as peaceful as we can. After all our aim is to give you a happy holiday. Sadly we do get the odd one that has no thought for anyone else.
As for the toilets and showers facilities, we are starting work this autumn and hopefully this will make a huge difference
Regards Stan & Ellen site owners

This was a first camping trip for my children and first on a camp site for me. We went with another family. We researched on this site and had a long list on Anglesey to call. This was the first one on the list that we got an answer from without having to leave a message so we went for it. The directions were very easy to follow and we found the site with no trouble.
After several days of rain the site was not surprisingly quite muddy. We had a friendly welcome, but then had a list of things not to let the dog do, the children do and all the trouble they had had with other customers.
We were shown where the toilet/shower/washing up facilities were, advised of gate locking time and shown to our pitch. We were in the middle of one of the three fields. This meant that we did not get any shelter from the wind. We could not get a pitch by the hedge as they all had 'reserved' signs on and were hook up pitches except for one sloping pitch (nobody new came on to these reserved pitches whilst we were there ).
Beautiful views from the site and generally flat pitches. The field and facilities were clean and well maintained. The toilet shower block was in an old static caravan and whilst cleaned twice a day did appear a bit ramshackle. 1 shower and 2 toilets per gender group. Although we did not experience any queues for the showers. 1 washing up sink. Freezer facilities for ice packs at 50p each.
The animals were of interest to the children but the donkeys were not my best friends at 6 am when they began braying!
The local beach is a pretty, secluded bay with parking £2.50 a day, toilets, snack bar and kayak hire.
The best bit for adults was enjoying the views in the evening, for kids crabbing off the pier at Beaumaris in the rain!

I stayed on this site in a 6 man tent with my partner and our son. I was surprised that I could book in for the bank holiday weekend on short notice but I thought I was just lucky . I will list the good points and the bad points:-
Good Points:-
Nice views (from certain parts of the site).
Bad Points (in no particular order) :-
Showers - 2 showers, 1 mens and 1 women’s and they were not cleaned
Toilets – In the old mobile home that is being used as the toilet/shower block there are two toilets each for men and women. In one of the camping fields there are 5 porta-loos
Washing up facilities - 1 sink to wash your pots – queues after meal times.
CCTV - advertised as having CCTV. The camera is in the ceiling of the washroom to make sure that no child under 15 attempts to wash a pot in the sink.
Pitches/ground – some pitches seem reasonably flat but the top field (where I stayed) is mostly hilly). When rain fell the ground became a quagmire and cars get stuck in the mud. If there is any wind about then this site feels it more than most (being near to the highest point of the island) and it seems to come from every direction.
Site management – I booked and paid in advance on my debit card. When I got to the site they said they had no record of me booking. Then they found me in the book and they had spelled my name wrong. Then despite booking for two adults and a child only they asked did I have a dog to which I replied “no”. Apparently the field I was to camp in was ‘dog free’ hence their concern. Imagine my surprise when I start pitching up and the first person I see in my field has a dog with him!
Pending new facilities – The new shower and toilet block that is mentioned in these reviews has still not arrived. The management suggested that it was all down to Planning

We were disappointed with this campsite. The owners were very friendy - and their donkeys likewise
There seem to be four fields being used for camping. The first is Caravan Club only. There is a 'dog free' field (which is quite a hike from the toilet 'facilities' (more of that later), and two further fields, one open and one tucked down amongst the trees. The first three fields have great views of Lligwy beach - which is spectacular by the way.
The main down side is the toilet/shower facilities. Only 1 shower and 2 loos for ladies and the same for men. Only two basins in each. And this between 60 pitches !
Cleanish on a friday but all pretty grimey by saturday night as the site was busy (but they were still taking bookings! We queued for ages every time. There was seldom any loo paper, or any means of even drying your hands. There was also only 1 dishwashing sink so there was always a long queue there too.
I appreciate that as has been said before, they are waiting for planning permission for a new block, but there is no way they should be filling the site with so many people whilst they wait.
Also we had some problems with noisy neighbours swearing and shouting at 5.45 in the morning. We were told they would have word but they admitted they had already told them off the previous morning for the same thing.

We arrived just after lunch and thought that we had gone down the wrong the path, as it was a little tight, but thought it was very peaceful and out of the way. The owners were very friendly and showed us were the toilets and shower block were. Very clean and tidy, some work still being done to them, but did not get in the way of any of that. Lovely views to sit outside with a glass a wine in the peaceful surroundings. Will definitely be going back, many thanks for a lovely start to holiday
