We loved staying at Burhope Farm. A really lovely, well kept site, that's incredibly peaceful with very pleasant views.
The showers were always hot and spotlessly clean, no push buttons or coins required!
Pip and family were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Pip started a little site shop whilst we were there, we very much appreciated the ice creams. Their free range eggs are gorgeous.
The local pub the Fountain is only a 10 minute cycle away, with the surrounding area great to explore on bikes. We'd definitely go back!

Wonderful. We have visited this site every year now for 3 years, and never grow tired of the utter peace, quiet and unspoilt beauty this site offers. This site is our home away from home. Living in a busy town where hustle and bustle is constant it is nice to leave that all behind for 10 days, and recharge the batteries in such a beautiful place.
The owners are very kind and friendly, and one feels very at home with them.
The facilities are kept spotless as are the surrounding areas.
The site however is not for someone who wants nightlife I. E pubs and clubs, the only entertainment one finds here is the stars and the amusing animal noises that come from the surrounding farms.
We look forward to seeing you all next year.

We are sited on Burhope Farm and have found the owners lovely. The campsite is always clean and tidy with the grass mowed regularly. The toilets and showers are always clean and there is always plenty of hot water. The fresh eggs are great, usually double yokes. The pitches are a lovely size. We haven't noticed any noise, from when children are visiting as you have so much room. Its a lovely quiet campsite with wonderful views, some nice walks. Yes you have to drive to the local pub or town but this takes only five minutes. We love it here and so do our dogs. We want to site here next year as it is so peaceful. Well done PIP for all the hard work you put into the site.

Excellent site. Proprietor is lovely, cares about her business and keeps the site in beautiful condition. The toilets and showers were immaculate and despite only having 3 loos and 4 showers we didn't have to queue once even on a bank holiday! The scenery is amazing. Very rural so you do need a car to go to a pub etc or into a town. Lots to look at in Hereford, Monmouth, Ross on Why etc. We would highly recommend staying here and intend to return in the future. They have a lovely tan & black dog that is a working dog and so well behaved and obedient - she runs around the site but was no trouble at all and very funny to watch playing with the children. Our only positive criticism is that it is a shame that it is not adult only - or at least to split the site to provide for both families and just adults who really don't want the noise that children create. This wouldn't stop us returning but can be an issue to some who just want peace and quiet. The weather was not brilliant but we still had a lovely stay and met some really nice people en route to the loos! Well worth a visit if you are looking at this area.

Burhope is in a beautiful location with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the site is kept extremely clean and tidy. The camping area is a huge, gently sloping field and unless you require electric hook up you can camp anywhere. There is very little traffic and road noise is not a problem. This is a lovely, peaceful 'get away from it all' site and great for relaxing - there is no club house or children's playground, which was perfect for us. There are 2 showers with plenty of free hot water and 1 toilet for ladies and the same for men, plus a disabled toilet, all of which are kept very clean. The fishing lake is well stocked with carp if you wanted to fish and we bought plenty of the huge free range eggs that were for sale. Fire pits and logs could also be hired. We visited Ross on Wye, Monmouth, the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, and Symonds Yat and the River Wye. This is a great site with very reasonable rates and perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Looking for site close to home for the first trip of the season and found Burhope Farm.
Beautiful location in the heart of Herefordshire, unspoilt views from the site over rolling countryside. At the heart of the site is a reasonable sized fishing lake, which to say is stocked with fish is an understatement, and at £3 per rod per day found this to be an inexpensive way to relax. The lake is stocked with carp ranging from 3oz to 7lb, which we found ideal for our 7 year old grandson’s first real fishing experience being able to catch every cast. There is also a very large grassed area which is ideal for ball games, flying a kite, etc.
Good hard standing spacious pitches with water and waste close to each pitch. The toilet facilities, at first, seem a little small, but no problems were encountered, with the facilities being spotlessly clean and maintained. The staff at the site are very friendly and helpful.
Do try the free range eggs which are on sale at the site, almost all double yolks and always fresh – great way to start the day; so good we purchased some to take home.
A great 'away from it all' site.

Just back from our second visit to Burhope and planning the third! A great site, very clean and well kept. The owners and staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. A nice sized site, not too big or small so you never feel hemmed in. Plenty of space for tents with room for the kids to play. A brilliant carp pool you can fish for just £3 per day. The showers are good with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There is only one loo in the ladies block but there was never 'a queue' and the facilities are cleaned very regularly. The fire pits you can hire are great for those chilly evenings, kept us toasty. Burhope is just great value - we've paid a lot more to stop on sites with a lot less. Also, the fresh eggs from the farm are brilliant for breakfast (we had 8 double yolks out of 12 eggs!). Thank you for another lovely weekend!

This was our first trip out in our van. We couldn't have picked a better site to start us off. We had such a brilliant time it has enthused us to keep going. The site was extremely clean, quiet, spacious, easy to find, friendly, close to Hereford, superb facilities and great fishing facilities.
The fishing was excellent, plenty of bites and good quality fish. The toilet/ shower block was clean and well maintained and to a high standard. The weekend was a great success and we will definitely be returning before the year is out.

We had a superb stay at Burhope Farm and can't thank the owners enough for their warm welcome and hospitality. We stayed for three nights and wished we stayed longer. The site is well maintained and very clean and tidy with excellent facilities which were regularly cleaned. The location of the site meant that we could visit the Wye Valley, Black mountains, and lots of the local market towns. We definitely plan to return to carry on the adventures. We couldn't recommend a better site, very peaceful at night, helpful staff and excellent facilities.

We visited the site between 25th and 31st May. We should have been staying until Sat 1st June but decided to leave a day early as we were beginning to sink into the mud under our tent due to very poor drainage on the field. This was a shame as the weather had been dry for a day and a half after two days rain, but the ground just wasn't absorbing any of the water really, making it a bit soggy under foot.
The site itself is set in a lovely location, surrounded by great views and if you are looking for a quiet site away from hassle and bustle this is the one for you as it miles away from anywhere. This does have its drawbacks though as the nearest shop (garage) is approx 7 miles away so make sure you have enough milk. The owner is missing an opportunity I feel as they have a shop on site that sells canoes and equipment, but they could also stock bread milk and basic essentials to assist campers I think.
The other disadvantage was the location of the tent if you require electric hook-up. You have to pitch next to a hedge, the other side of which is a single track road. This road does have a fair bit of farm traffic using it from around 5. 30am right through to dusk, so at times we felt as if the tractors were coming through the tent.
Other reviews have mentioned the lack of toilets, there only being one in each block. This is true but we found that we never had to queue for either the loo or a shower. The owner sated that she is applying for permission to enlarge the block, but I feel the money would be better spent improving the drainage. I have marked the site as not very child friendly. The only reason for this is that the lake on site is totally unfenced and the bank running down to it from the road was wet and extremely slippery whilst we were there. Although people need to be in control of their children themselves, this is a hazard that could potentially lead to an accident in my opinion.
