There's No entertainment through the week. No bar even open in the week. No shop. Toilets ok. The showers were hit and miss. No plugs in the sink? What's all that about. There was internet. But again was told was hit and miss. The buildings were very tired really not like the pictures. We went for the week. Came home on the Wednesday Disappointed!
Never go again.

Friendly Camp site, with great fishing ponds and nice country and western themed saloon. Easy to find and close to Lytham St Annes.
The site looks tired and a clean up is needed, both the bar/restaurant and grounds have random rubbish lying around.
All toilets were not cleaned regularly and were often a bit of a mess during the bank holiday weekend. We know it can be hard to keep on top of these things while a lot of people are using the facilities but it was not that busy while we were there, and they were not cleaned or toilet rolls replaced for over a 24 hour period. As always take your own loo roll. Washing up and waste water emptying places were poor.
Small car boot every Sunday which was nice for a bargain, with a bit of a tidy up and a better cleaning regime this could be a cracking site.

Facilities on this site are basic, but the main clubhouse and bar area hosts good live music and food, which we didn't try, but it looked ok. The surrounding area is beautiful, with Lytham only a few miles away. However we won't be returning to this site as it is in need of upgrading, and the staff are not exactly of professional standard

Visited this campsite on the weekend. I was very impressed first of all from the lady we met on arrival was very helpful and welcoming, could not do enough for us. Secondly my children loved all the facilities to keep them entertained. Will be booking again and bringing my brother and his family soon

We found that when we arrived we couldn't find reception so just found somewhere to park set up and toddle off to reception when we found it. Lady in reception was nice and polite this campsite has the potential for a super site but it needs some serious money spending on it has everything from toilets to bar to roads to park in fact everything is old and tatty
But don't let that put you totally off has we enjoyed our stay has we weren't bothered by anyone and just enjoyed our own amenities.
One thing that did bother us was the attitude of what I think was the owners husband when he rudely came about 40 yards from us and shouted put that frigging dog on a lead, it doesn't actually tell you that anywhere and if asked to nicely we would always do, really no need to speak to anyone like that but I suppose that's his way never he will learn one day

Stayed at this site end of may. Honest and to the point review. Its good and bad. The site is dated but the atmosphere makes up for it. The staff are fantastic. The site is going through a revamp. I was talking to one of the staff and besides being helpful he explained the site has suffered the last few years due to adverse weather conditions but they are getting on top of things. Due to the pleasant staff and having a good time I will be going back this year. As the saying goes Rome wasn't built in a day"

First impressions of the site looks nice but as you get to the touring area standards drop. We went to find the office to find out why pitch we were told to pick any, pitches are not marked out or numbered. We choose a hard standing pitch as it was near the park so the children could play in our view. Hard standing are facing a gravel car park which just feels as if pitched by a road and not the best view. In the evening our electricity kept cutting out though we had very little electrical items on, couldn't see anywhere on the website about the amps prior to booking. Our hook up point had an adapter in to plug an extra 2 plugs in which possibly is the reason for power cuts.
Toilet block not great like a cabin at the side of the club house and not very clean, we avoided as much as possible. Clubhouse charged £5 in entry which seemed a little steep so we didn't go in so can't comment on entertainment or food available.
Once settled we had a wander round and the site generally is untidy and needs a serious clean up. It's situated in large grounds and could have potential if time spent on cleaning up the site.
The children's park was nice and tidy, kept my 4 and 8 year old entertained.
Overall I must say it had been the untidiest site we have ever visited and we won't be booking again.

Having viewed there website we were really looking forward to the visiting the site based on their photo's description. However when we arrived we couldn't find the reception. When we did and found our pitch we were disappointed how disorganised the pitches were. The caravans pitches were not marked and the electricity points were a far distance from where you pitched up. The grounds were extremely uneven and due to the heavy rain the drainage of the site was poor and was extremely, boggy causing a very soggy holiday. The toilet blocks were very basic and were only a converted static caravan / porta cabin type. They were unclean and not in good order. For such a large site there were only 2 showers in a block. The children's play area was ideally located but again not in good order and at least 2 of the swings were broken. The restaurant was spacious but again not very clean with cob webs all around the ceiling and the food was greasy. The water points were frequent however the elsan waste locations were only what I can describe as man holes with covers and from what I could see only 1 of the 3 location had running water to flush out the cassettes. The large car boot described on there site whilst we were there consisted of less than a dozen vehicles. Not large to me. All in all the site was a good size but not as described on their web and the photo's are several years out of date and the whole site was run down and not somewhere I would ever visit again. Very disappointed and I would not recommend anyone to use the site. The surrounding area was stunning ad there was a lidl supermarket within 5 minutes and a petrol station. The town of Lytham is only 5 minutes away and has all the services you could need.

We arrived with a 3 man tent, plenty of room to stick it on a nice level grassed area. At the reception the women was nice and polite, directed us to the tent part of the campsite. Right next to a carpark, excellent for ease. The fishing pond is not up to much, stagnant and muddy with not much going on, has it is a family camping / caravanning site (so do not go for pro fishing).
The play area could do with smartening up for the kids although everyone on there seemed to being having heaps of fun.
The showers are a walk away but not far at all, clean and hot running water.
The water points are sparse (at the shower block)
No electric for campers (this would be better if they had a electricity points for pitchers)
The bar was brilliant, country and western themed and the band was good to. The cowboys and cowgirls took they roles perfect. The gun firing was different but fun. The food was evening menu was AWESOME and decently priced. Drinks were 3 quid a pint.
The only thing that did let it down was the orge on the door, not polite and requesting 5 quid without a smile or hello. !
The breakfast was very greasy and truck stop like, not recommended.
Carboot in the morning was a decent walk about too.
I will be going back has its ok, close to blackpool, cheap and cheerful place, arrive pitch up, eat and bar, entertainment on hand, sleep. Then explore.
Some staff were a little rude on the park.

This site has very many positives like ; bus stops right outside on both sides of the road going to lytham, blackpool and preston. Nearby supermarket (Lidl), macdonalds, pubs and petrol station. On site entertainment and food (if you like country and western large portions and aren't vegetarian)they cook breakfasts, and evening meals on the weekend on woodsmoke barbecue however there is a £5. 00 entry on Saturday when there is band on but they let us in without paying as we were just eating and leaving. Even though this site is on a main road it has a lot of trees so there is no road noise at all. The owners are friendly but not overbearing so unless you need something you don't see them after book in. There are only a few negatives with this site It needs better maintenance ie painting buildings and toilet/shower block cleaning. Sunday mornings! There is a car boot sale people start arriving at 6am waiting to set up and if you are pitched on the hardstanding pitches near the play area at the entrance and have any space on your pitch people will park on your pitch and block you in or if you have to nip out they will be parked on your pitch when you return, even though there are plenty of parking spaces(3 car parks) on the site we even had stall holders(who have nothing to do with site management) telling several people to park on our pitch !The site is very inexpensive under £20 per night in high season! there is a fishing pond and you can have barbecues and camp fires as long as they are not directly in contact with the ground and there is lots of space for football, Frisbee etc and dogs are welcome too. I would visit again for a weekend but not pitched in front of the boot sale area. I think just a bit of general beautifying would make this a quaint western themed site
